The real interval is about 2-3 months for it to be efrective. That's how the growth cycle of hair works. So, you've been in three effective sessions, maybe two.
Hello! Great video! I’m just deciding between 2 places that offer either the soprano ice platinum and the candela laser. Which do you prefer? I’m light medium skin with dark hair.
Thank you for this video, it was really informative and answered all of my questions, it's a great comparison of the two machines I am undecided about. Can you do the session if there are bumps due to ingrown hair on the area? No matter what I do I get really bad ingrown hairs on the bikini area and I am afraid that the 6 or so weeks in between sessions won't be enough for them to heal properly and I wouldn't be able to get the next laser treatment.
For skin type between 3-4 will you do Alexandrite setting on candela or the yag? My hair is very fine now with the prior treatments and the last two treatments with Alex setting on cynosure elite + had good results. I also had prior two treatments with candela. This is for face. By the way last week I had soprano platinum on face with setting 5. I’m Not sure if it was the right setting and choice as hair is very fine now. Can you please advise. Thanks
Hello, thank you for all the info provided! I am trying to choose between the 2 types for my first ever laser treatment (skin type 3-4, dark hair). What's your best advice or personal preference? Also, which would be the "healthier" option for our body and skin, is there any nasty ingredient in the cooling gels? Thank you in advance! :)
Hello, you can choose either laser to start with. With Soprano for sure it is very important the practitioner to be good. I always complete with candela laser. I mean the first few sessions soprano and the last 2 with candela and the results are so amazing. For skin type 3-4 do candela
Hi, I have had 4 sessions of soprano in canada initially 3 weeks apart and then 4 weeks apart (I have pcos and had a lot of thick dark hair and I have fair skin) I could see results even after the first session and I feel they have gotten a lot better but obviously thin hair is still there and some areas like the side burns upper lips and chin still have stubborn hair so I want to continue the sessions but I came to Pakistan for a couple of months and the dermatologist I saw here recommended candela to me instead she said I could do that here and go back and continue with soprano. They do have soprano as well but she said with fair skin and dark hair candela would be more effective. So I had a patch test done today but since it was my first experience i wasn't sure what to expect. It was a lot more painful than soprano and especially since it was without the gel and I hadnt shaved though I don't yet have a lot of hair growth since it's barely been 2 weeks since my last laser. I booked my session after the 4 weeks is up but I'm a little confused about whether to try candela or stick to soprano. Because not only did it hurt more while she did it but i had redness that last some time and stinging even after the session. It got better layer in the day but I never got that with soprano. She showed a patch on my arm as well that had small hair and it was the same thing there. Redness and stinging for a while after. Is that normal for candela or was she doing it incorrectly? And should the hair be shaved/trimmed before candela as well? She said it doesn't matter for candela that it's better when the hair is there for this one. Your help would be appreciated thank youu!
Hello, candela is better if the hair is very think and less. It is easier the light to be absorbed from candela rather than soprano towards the end of you sessions, however she could shave, but some clients dont like shaving face so I can also leave without shaving as candela burns the hair with the stuck mode very visibly. And if you have felt more it it also normal so she should have used correct settings. But now I will be honest it is up to you how you feel with each of them, if you feel soprano is more effective Just go for soprano, sometimes I use candela once after few sessions with soprano on some of my clients and they dont want second time , but with some clients results are so amazing so they do prefer candela at the end
Whats ur hair growth result?was candela better or soprano..I'm also her ein paksitan and debating which to choose had candela on face 3rd session but not sure for body?
I always find you have the best information in videos. I really need some advice I want to buy saprano can’t afford new machine what you advise where I can get used saprano please
Can you explain us the full theory of laser machine. (Current, contraindications, benefits, how thw machine works, before & after care, skin type, etc)
Good question, I would say almost the same, because def. the sensation is less when is faster, but in fact doesn’t really mean you will not have a result. To be honest almost not difference. However if you stop too many times over the same area, it will play role on the effectiveness. You should keep average speed and my speed in the video is ideal.
Hi, how many times should glide with sopranco ice for hollywood area? My therapist went over just 2 times and she was done. I felt that it was too short. and how long should the whole sessions last? mine it was less than one minute. Can it be efficient if it was that short?
Please explain why you do so many passes in one area, I lost count after 20 passes… that seems extreme considering I was told that 2 passes with SHR is required and what is taught by the company.
Such an informative video, thank u. In comments u mentioned that soprano is less painful. In my case though I don't feel any pain during candela, but during soprano the pain is almost unbearable (the machine is alma soprano). It this normal?
Hi i already had 8 treatments (full body always after 4 weeks). I dont see any difference at all. My doctor didnt check my skin type and she varies with the intensity depending how much it hurts me. She told me 5-7 will be enough to be done but now even after 8 it still looks the same. Can you tell me what she or I might did wrong? Thank you!!
Hello, was it soprano? You should be going every 6 weeks and also what skin type are you? To be honest the results are amazing, I have clients after 6 sessions no hair at all. Have you checked you hormones. You should be nearly hair free by now
Hello Thank you so much for this vidéo I am a dermatologist, and i am hesitating between the 2 machines The Price of candela still so hight, so the soprano still afordable but i am affraid that thé résultats are better with candela What do you think please ?
Hi, are you sure they are bruised? Was it very painful during the treatment? Did you feel strong burning sensation? Is it exactly the same laser Candela as I use on the video? You can have bruises from the cryogen cooling spray yes but they should have gone away by now. If they are red and getting a bit darker like brown with each day, this is more likely a Laser burn.
Hello, thank you so much for your video it really helped me,ı have a question my arms and legs has lots of hair but they are black and also thin i kinda want to start with candela because it leaves skin without hair almost, but afraid of getting increase my light hair,i am between soprana platinuim and candela what would you recommend? Appreciat for your help!
Hello and thank you. If the hair is dark and thin candela is better. But if the hair is blond or almost you cant see it it is very likely ti be stimulated
Hi, I'm in Canada. I got my first few sessions done on a light sheer diode laser at the best Clinic here in Canada. Then, for personal reasons I went somewhere and they used soprano ice. It was pain free and I think results were ok but it caused my skin to become darker. The diode laser was amazing and caused no harm to my skin. Why could this be? I have really fair skin and now it looks dark. I'm bothered by this. I had real fair skin and thick coarse hair. Is soprano Ice not good for my skin? Also is the light sheer diode laser better? Should I Switch back to it. It's in the most expensive clinic in Canada and most trusted. Also, is Aloe Vera important on skin after laser? The first place would always put Aloe Vera on my skin. The second place didn't put anything
Hello, we do not apply aloe vera after the soprano as it is not needed. I am not sire what could have caused your skin to become darker. I never had this issue. Have you been using anything on the skin prior treatment? I would only say if you are happier with the light sheer go back to it but in general it is not better than the soprano. Your skin should get back to normal, use some brightening creams
Hello I am a north African (Moroccan) fair skin ( I think type 2/3) and dark hair (quite thick in some areas of my body, bikini, Lower legs, arms, armoits) and I have a really sensitive skin I usually get redness after waxing, shaving gives me ingrown hairs... So...I have been considering laser hair removal but I am hesitating between Soprano and Candela Which one would you recommend?
Honestly they both will give you amazing results. Since your hair is dark they both will work great. Candela I recommend if the hair is blond and super fine. It works better
Hi, I wanted to ask you which machine is better, lightsheer diode or candela? My first few sessions were really good with lightsheer and a little painful too. I didn't mind the pain cause I saw results. Now I got my first session on the candela yesterday and it was almost painless and not as intense as the lightsheer. So, which machine is really better ?
Hello mam, Please tell me what is the energy you give your patient in first sitting of laser hair reduction (soprano ice) ----mine dermatologist give me 22mg energy, is it ok????? Also i want to know mam is it ok on fine hair(side lock of ear)?????? I really very afraid,.. In future that fine hair will not change into thick hair???? I have thick hair on chin and asian color (india). I had take first session, results are amazing. But little bit confused bcz my skin is burn somewhere. And it take time to heal.
what settings have to be for a soprano one for the visible results? i believe that my beautician is setting the machine for a lowest speed because she wants me to buy more sessions.
Hi, i have multiple questions. I got my first session on my face & chin, sideburn areas 10 days ago but there is nothing change hair. I have pcos&insuline resistance. 24 age years old. My chin area have thick hairs. The clinics use soprano ice platinium on my face. As a high pain thresold person, I feel pain really high. So How many sessions do you think are needed for hair loss? Is it normal to have no shedding in the first session? Is it normal to have no shedding in the first session? Is it normal to have no shedding in the first session? Thank you ♡
Hi, 10 days is a bit early for shading. Wait for at least 3,4 weeks. You will needs at least 6-8 to see 50-70% of hair reduction and you will need to be on maintenance due to your pcos. This means you need to do the treatment from time to time to maintain the result. In very small cases hair goes completely on people with pcos
I’ve had my second appointment three days ago. I’m doing Brazilian and full legs with this exact machine. I don’t know if it’s normal, my first appointment was awful. First of all I used to do wax for over 12 years and always struggled with ingrown hair. That’s the reason I decided to try laser, to help with the ingrown and dark spots. My first appointment I got a really bad ingrown hair situation going on my private area, a really bad ingrown and acne I have ever experienced before. It took days to go away after some exfoliating, the bumps were gone but I was left with the dark spots and no Ine single hair fell off. I had my second appointment three days ago and I told her about my experience and she said that it’s normal and that it takes time for the skin to adapt. I asked her when should I start seeing results and she told me after 7 sections 😮😮😮😮 what??? I see people’s videos saying just after their first section they could see some hair falling off. Worst part is that I already paid for 13 sections, otherwise I wouldn’t go there anymore.
Hello, I am so sorry to hear that. 13 sessions is too much for a course , usually either 6 or 8 as sometimes the hair is gone completely. You absolutely should see result after each session, and mostly after the first session. The spots are possible if you have been shaving, most likely this is from the shaving rather than the laser or , if you have shaved and the laser has been done in very fresh shaved sensitive skin yes it might be the reason. Dont worry the ingrowns usually go after the 4 session
Hi! Can you explain what's the effect of pulse duration in the machine? İf it's more or less how does it effect the skin and hair?and should the pulse duration be less or more on dark skin? Thankyou 💜
Hello, pulse with or pulse duration is the time the laser beam is active on its target(the hair) So shorter pulse means stronger treatment and longer pulse the treatment will be more comfortable, because we do not change the actual power and if you have shorter pulse the same power will come much quicker and will feel stronger
Hello, candela is stronger and better for fine hair for sure, but a little more painful to start with. But soprano works amazing with asian hair actually. My clients sometimes do not need more than 6 sessions
Hello, for my first hair removal session the technician used the Candela and I literally felt nothing. I went yesterday for my 2nd session and had a new technician who used soprano as she said it would work better until the hair is finer and then we would switch to Candela. My problem is that the soprano hurt so bad that I screamed multiple times and had to take a break. She said this was completely normal. I'm scared to go back for my last 4 to 5 sessions 😭
I am sorry for your experience. It is very strange that it was painful with soprano. Usually Candela is the painful one. I hope you are happy with results. Tell them to press more onto the skin and to be quicker, you will fill much better
@@Sileray18 omg I had same expirience with my laser couple of years ago, it was a different type but it was soo painful and after my 8th session I still having some hairs :( I don't want to come back haha
Are all the hair going to fall with soprano and some grow back again just like the candela is working or only the hair that is at the anagen phase going to fall with soprano ?
Hi, If you can answer please- I been to sun exposure 24 hrs prior to treatment. wondering would there be any long term side effects; I took with Candela laser, thanks
Can you use the Candela laser on tanned skin? If not how long do you have to wait, because some light skintypes and stay tanned for a long time. Thank you!
@@jadesluv She using 755 that why she sad that can be treated only on skin type 1-3 and sometimes on 4 with carefully. Is another Candela machines where present and Alexandrite & NdYag and on that machines you can treat all skin types 1-6.
It doesn't matter how many passes if you mean Soprano Ice Platinum. if you doing a bit slowly it will be less passes if you moving hand peace quicker will be more passes. Depending from skin type and area where you doing it could be different.
Watching other videos, once the skin type is selected and the area, the machine calculates the joules and calculates the duration. A timer is set and You go back and forth until the timer reaches zero and it shuts off the hand piece so you don‘t over expose an area. One leg is 4 areas, upper and lower, front and back.
You need to shave one or two days before the treatment. No waxing, no plucking of the hair. You need to shave as many time as you want during the course of treatments but you need to be shaved before the treatment( day or 2 before)
@@bushramehboob8003 Between sessions you can only shave. You can't do waxing between sessions. Otherwise you have to wait around 4-6 weeks until hairs grows....
@@Faninikolaou it's depends from speed. Around 30 seconds with size of one ✋ hand) you can do 40 times or 20 times but result will be same. Might be sometimes for some clients or zones more comfortable when is quicker for other whet it's slower. I've been a model couple times in our school for a hair removal with this laser (soprano Ice Platinum ) and I can say depending from zone on some areas you filling better when faster on other slower.
I have done 8 treatments on my body with soprano and seen no results. Absolutely nothing. I do have pcos, but Is it all to blame on my condition or there might have been some mistreatment from the practitioner or machine? Will candela work if I had no results with soprano? Thanks 🙏🏼
It is really uncommon not to have any results at all. In case like that we should blame hormones and ask the clients to go and check them, but you know this is the reason. Still results must be seen, considering the number of treatments you have had. I would for sure change the laser to candela, I am sure you will have results. Please let me know, try only 1 session first and see how it goes. Another questions is, do you hair falls up to 3 weeks after the treatment. If not, means it is to blame the laser or the practitioner
@@dermacure9618 thank you so much for your reply. Yes my hair fall ( not all of them) in a matter of 10-15 days after the treatment with soprano. But then they just grow back. My doctor gave me other 8 sessions for free all over my body again and I will do. Do you think it’s good or bad idea for me to use them? Will the hair follicle be damaged and get worst for future treatment? I won’t do soprano on my face again, indeed I just did this morning my first session with candela. Hopefully it will be better! Thinking of moving to London, will keep you and your center in mind for future treatment! Thanks!!
Hello! I had my first session with soprano 5 days ago. I’ve been told that it is better if I don’t shave at all for 6 weeks and only shave the day before coming back, for my second session. Is it true? Can I shave between treatments ? I didn’t loose any hair after my first session and they are already long and thick and I have light skin, I wish to shave them and don’t wait 6 weeks without touching them... thanks a lot!
Hello, no this is not true actually, you can shave as many times as you want. The hair should fall up to 4 weeks post treatment if the hair doesn’t fall means the treatment is not effective at all
I had 3 sessions and I'm about to move to another country so I'm doing my laser every three weeks so i can have more sessions when I'm in my own country cause once i move i don't think i can afford it, my question is, is this safe?
@@dermacure9618 how come? I thought that doing it more often will still be effective, just that it’s not recommended to space it out less than 4 weeks apart because of the risk of burning your skin?
@@dermacure9618 I have dark and dense hair. And dont tan much i usually get done 10 to my armpits and 9 to my tummy but i can barely stand bikini area 😸 it hurts so much that is why ..
Hello, we wipe it with antibacterial and disinfecting solutions like chlorine, barbicide and antibacterial/alcohol wipes. It has to be very perfectly clean before each client. Hygiene is the most important
@@Faninikolaou usually the one I do is the correct amount of passes over the size of the area I do. If you do not do that many times it might not give you good results
Will a candela mini gentle tag work on fine black hairs on a skin type 4 or 5? İf someone is a skin type 4/5 they can't get alexandrite done cuz that's for very fair skin.please let me know . Much love
Hi, I have Indian(brown) skin and I’m doing laser now with soprano ice. What setting should the laser be at? I want to make sure my technician is using the right level. also what levels are there?
Hi, It depends on the area but body is 6,7,8 j and face can be a little less 6,7 Again this depends on how dark the skin is. Some Indian clients have darker skin than others
I have fair skin and medium brown hair. My technician won't go above 10 on the machine but I read somewhere fair skin can go up to 20. I read a soprano manual which also stated this for fine hairs. Can you please clarify? Thanks
On the SHR mode we do not go over 10J this is true. On HR model we can go higher but we usually do not use that mode. So you technician is doing correct
