this video is so iconic to me. i had countless birthday parties at panther lazer tag and i even lost a tooth in the arena one time. the censored swearing used to be the funniest thing in the world to all of us elementary school kids. went back to what is now an ultrazone location with some friends and me and my sister told everyone about the old training video. so glad i could find it here

no running? last time i went to laser tag they said no running and as soon as the game started, EVERYONE started to run EVERYWHERE.

I miss the times where the Game Masters had to do the briefing themselves. They'd let you know about the fire exists and what to do in case of an emergency. They also would provide interesting stories of the things they saw when people started breaking the rules. I'll never forget the one about a full grown adult colliding into an 8 year old because because both were running. Sadly, I've seen cases like these numerous times.

i went last saturday. It's cool. There's also sniper towers you can take over. + Theres other games like Zombies, Every man 4 him or herself, & Capture the flag. I loved the capture the flag so exciting.

I was always holding in my laughs at this whole video it's exceptionally cheesy and the gay master yes everyone would joke about it.

This is definitely the most well known laser tag briefing video on RU-vid (quite good quality for the time it was made), but why does that one player on the blue team grab onto that other player's (who is on the red team) pack at 1:10 when they're entering the arena?🤷‍♂️ That part really makes no since!

I just went to Ultrazone for the first time in years this evening, and was shocked to see that this video is no longer shown. I asked a gamemaster about it, and it turned out that the owner of the company (this video’s uploader), had sold it off, and due to the fact that he played ‘Chief’ in this video, it had to be replaced. The replacement is a really sad, slapped-together, cgi saturated, wannabe-edgy-space-themed video that is at least two minutes shorter. I’m a little bit traumatized and still reeling from the replacement of this video. I knew it word for word when I was 11. Those were simpler times.

I know you guys can’t wait to get in the arena and start playing, but it’s important that you listen to this briefing video first. If the GameMaster hears anyone talking during the briefing, we’ll have to stop the briefing and start it over so please pay attention and stay quiet and we can’t wait to get you into the arena! -When you enter the vesting room you will see three rows of packs. Choose the pack that is the color of the team you’ll be playing on. The GameMaster will help you determine team colors at the end of this video. -Standby for your equipment briefing -Take your vest from the rack. Put your vest on like a jacket. Clip the top clip. Then, clip the bottom clip. Adjust the strap on your left side. Then, adjust the strap on your right side. Un-clip your phaser. And you’re ready to play. -Pull the trigger to check out the code name on the back of the phaser. Remember your code name. This is how you’ll check your score after the game is over. -Now here is how to use the two-handed phaser -Why isn’t my phaser working? -Common mistake. You must have two hands on the phaser at all times to fire. Theres a heat sensor on the bottom of the phaser. Be sure to cover it up with your hand or the phaser will not fire. -To score points and win the battle, tag your opponent in one of the following six places. The phaser. The front of the vest. The two front shoulders. And the back of the vest. -Just remember to fire anything on a player that is lit up. -If you get tagged on the shoulder or the phaser, you will be stunned for five seconds. You won’t be able to shoot, but people will still be able to fire at you and score points. So take this time to find some cover. If you get tagged in the front or the back, you will be shut down for ten seconds. You will also be deactivated for ten seconds if you are hit three times in a row on your phaser or your shoulders. -Alright chief. Ready for the briefing -There will be three teams playing in the arena. Each player’s vest will be lit with that player’s color. To score points, shoot at any player that is a different color than you. Each team also has a colored base. You can score a lot of points by firing at the other two teams’ bases and destroying the base. -You can only destroy each base once during the game -You have to hit the base multiple times to destroy it and score points. Keep firing until the lights go out on the base. Remember, it’s important you work as a team to help defend your base. -Got it. Are we ready? -Now wait. This next part is very important, so please, pay attention. These are the things you cannot do. You cannot run. Or you will hit something. Or someone. You cannot climb on structures -Please don’t do it or your game will end and your team will be disqualified -No physical contact. -Or else. -No lying down. -It may seem like a good idea, but it’s not -Also, no profanity -Holy #%$@! -Or bad language. Do not drop, damage, or abuse the laser tag equipment in any way. Finally, obey your GameMaster’s warnings and instructions at all times. Their job is to keep you safe and to keep the game fair for all players. If you ignore the rules, or your GameMaster, you will be removed from the game without a refund, and your team will be disqualified. While in the arena if you have any problems, such as trouble with your equipment, you get lost, or even just scared... -(scream) -Just stay where you are and yell “GameMaster!” -GameMaster, GameMaster! -Is everything okay? -Warning: Play in our arena is at your own risk. You are responsible for your own safety. We cannoy accept liability for your injuries. -If you have asthma, epilepsy, seizure disorder, any heart conditions, or if you are expecting, please let a GameMaster know before they game begins. This does nit mean you cannot play, we just have further instructions for you -When time if up, your pack will announce the end of the game. -(Siren) (Beeping) Game over. Please proceed to exit. Walk, don’r run, to the nearest exit. Remove your vest and hang it back up, making sure you clipped your phaser back to the vest. -When you hang up your vest, make sure to remember to check the code name on the back of your phaser. To do this, pull the trigger and look at your screen. -Alright, that’s it. Remember you’re briefing and ask a GameMaster if you have any questions -Play fair and use teamwork -And above all, have lot’s of fun. -You do have a chance to ask questions before you enter the vesting room. If you have a question, please raise your hand, and your GameMaster will be happy to answer it.
