Excellent video! These types of steps are what will keep users enjoying their machines for a much longer time! I have two lasers in my woodshop. Cleaning the lenses, mirros, and rails are a daily task before executing any laser project. Saw dusts gets everywhere! Happy engraving!
I would never use a screwdriver to remove the retainer ring. Instead I made my own tool from some 2mm acrylics, which is as wide as the internal diameter of the tube and slides in the two slots. Then you can easilt remove the ring or put it back, without risking the lens to get scratched. I also first blow some compressed air from a cheap can over both sides of the lens, to get rid of eventual loose contermination. But maybe I'm too cautious. :)
