In terms of the guide rod laser , it only has one spring running on the guide rod, and the gen 4 oem has 2 springs, what is the impact on recoil on these small pistols?
Does this effect the recoil from a stock guide rod?? Also how do you disassemble the gun without the slide lock? Same way, new lock/switch? How do you switch out the batteries? And how well do these hold up??
I just got done installing the green laser guide-rod. The laser is perfect and I’m able to switch it between solid and pulsating mode. However, the spring makes a loud, weird squeaky sound when I rack the slide. I’ve put some lube on it, but it continues to makes that squeaky sound. It sounds pretty bad. Has anyone else have had a similar experience or issue after installing a new guide rod? Will it work itself out after running several boxes through it? Or am I dealing with something defective that needs to be sent back? I really want and expected this upgrade to work flawlessly, but I’m doubting my decision. I’ve been saving up for a couple months to get this and I don’t want to send it back now that I finally got it. Someone please share your thoughts if you have had a similar experience.
Im having an issue, I have installed and it works but I need to press the slide forward with my thumb just a bit to turn it on?! Why would this happen? I have cleaned all the connections and even completely reinstalled. Same issue. I can't have a laser on a black that I need to press the slide forward when thats what's going to come back and break my thumb! Please advise
