he will be the first person on this planet to break the magical limit of 500 kg. 230 and 270. He could have done that yesterday, easily. I think he saved these weights for Tokyo.
@@giorgisulukhia1574 Not certainly in that way. I think they make money, which is completely legitimate. After all, every world record is money. He has already lifted 223 + 267 in training. And in my opinion, he can raise as much as he wants.
4 red plates for Snatch. 5 reds for C&J. That would be beautiful. But in all honesty, as great and magnificient as Lasha is, he is not capable of a 275 C&J yet (YET). I actually think he will NOT ATTEMPT 500 on this Olympics. I think he will go for 490(!). 223 Snatch + 227 C&J. And then, maybe in 4 years, if God blesses Lasha with good health and will, we will see the Godly 500 Total. You people have to realize - at the height of these numbers, even a SINGLE KILO is a huge gap. Only a few people in the world ever went over the elite 460 Total. And only the chosen one can hit 500. And we can not be sure yet (BUT I PRAY AND HOPE AND BELIEVE), that Lasha is the one. But hey, it definitely seems so. And, one last thing, if a 500 is possible, I actually have a bit of an unpopular opinion - IF A 500 IS POSSIBLE, It's possible with a BIG SNATCH, not a BIG C&J. Meaning I would expect something like AT LEAST 228 / 272, but more likely 230 and 270. Because the numbers in C&J are astronomical already. Each 1kg added is a whole new level of strength.
He makes it look so easy. Does this guy ever miss? The time isn't far off when we'll see the first 500lb snatch. Think about it. Alexeev was the first to officially c&j that weight (1970). Maybe there isn't any theoretical limits to what humans beings are capable of achieving in sports, be it in weightlifting or track and field.
500 lbs is pretty hard but possible. But there definitely is a limit. I doubt we'll see anyone snatch 235+ kg, ever. Lasha is huge and has amazing technique. Cant be sure though
