I had mine lastweek and my goodness.. Im nothing but GRATEFUL ❤️❤️ feeling teary while driving and seeig everything like SUPER HIGH DEFINITION 😭😭😭 Im so overwhelmed.. i kept thanking God every minute while living every CLEAREST MOMENT OF THE REST OF MY LIFE❤️❤️❤️
How many days after the surgery you can see that super high definition? I had mine 2 days ago but i feel like my vision is not 20/20 yet.. please answer 🙏🏻
@@miawmiawkitty2738 yes.. it takes at least a week. give your eyes enough rest. just put drops and close it like 5 to 10 seconds everytime.. I just sleep most of the time on first 4days.. use dark glasses to make it comfortable.. i was in my room most of the time with dim lights.. it got better faster. after the first week EVERYTHING is perfect.😊
mathet max guess i’ll just have to be patient lol but my doctor said that i’m okay to not wearing dark glasses after 1 day.. and thank god I didn’t feel that dry eyes.. but i still see holos and starburst every time i see a light.. Thank you!!
I just got lasik (6/16/2021) and its Saturday now and I’m good so far, no issues! The worst is post operation the burning and feeling like you have hair in your eyes, I just slept all day pretty much. Other than that it was painless. When I woke up the next day I saw clear perfectly. Oh, when you lose vision temporarily during the first step it’s not that bad but more of the fear of the unknown. It literally took like 5 minutes per eye. The eye protectors are kinda uncomfortable at first until your in a deep sleep. I drove the next day btw and also I really like wearing sunglasses not to be cool lol cause you wanna save your eye from the UV rays. I hope whoever is watching this and is thinking of getting this procedure, you should do it. Also don’t overthink it it’s not as bad. I did not get PRK.
@@smunna1452 lasik has a faster recovery where they make a flap above the cornea.. I’m not so sure I think I was told prk is better if you have a more severe or misshapen cornea but I don’t know I am not a Dr. other testimonies said that PRK was more painful and the recovery time a lil longer. You should ask your eye dr they can give you a better understanding.
@@elchinoxl3034 thank you for reply. Im asking for my treatment in next month im thinking to go for lasik but my friends and others are telling me that lasik will make side effects on long run.. so is there any side effects or blur in low light conditions...please tell me to clear my thoughts.. again thank you for reply
@@smunna1452 i haven’t had any severe side effects. I feel good and see fine. I did take eye drops for the first couple months but now I don’t really need them but I still put some in once in a while.
Just keep stairing at that green blinking light. You're doing so great! Look at the light! Look directly at the green light! You're doing great! That's all that you hear throughout 99.9% of the procedure. And then you are done, within five to ten minutes after you go in.
this is the best thing that ever happened to me.... its been 4 years now and i face a little blurness in night vision but it's thousand times better than what it used to be.... i am grateful
@@humerafatima4993 can u please name the clinic from where u got your treatment bcz I also live in Karachi and I am considering this LASIK thing it would really be appreciated
I had lasik a week ago and it is amazing. I’m so glad I got it done. The procedure is a breeze & post op is discomfort for the first four hours & then you are good. Do research and pick a good doctor & follow pre and post op instructions. The only side effects I have a week post is mild sensitivity to light, dry eyes, and halos around lights. All of this is improving everyday. It is worth every penny to get this done if you were blind as a bat like I was.
Just had mine done 02/01/24. I passed up on taking the Valium because I wanted to be fully present for the procedure and I’m glad I did. It was amazing to watch the light. I’m not gonna lie I was terrified before but pretended to be cool. The moment I smelled the laser burning and realized it was my eyes I was about to freak out but then I heard the doctor say: keep staring, half way done, ok done 😅so I didn’t have time to freak out. It was amazing how fast it actually is and entirely painless. I am 39 and definitely wish I did this in my twenties but better now than never. If ur on the fence, do it.
Wish me luck, my surgery is day after tomorrow Edit: My LASIK is done and my eyesight is much better and clear. Those who had poor vision, definitely recommend doing a LASIK surgery and it's WORTH IT.
@@nextlevel4189 Now I'm doing great. It's much better than before 😁. Also I recommend you to Lasik Surgery if you have a poor eyesight and it's definitely WORTH IT
Did the Lasik surgery today and I have to say, it is already worth it. The pressure of the machine did actually hurt the skin/boney part around my eyes during the operation but it is just 20 seconds per eye. After that, its painfree during the laser. Directly after the operation I already gained 80% of my sight back which is amazing. When I got home, I set a timer for the drops and slept in between because my eyes felt really irritated unless I closed my eyes. But now, three hours later, I see super clearly and I am not experiencing pain anymore. Just a bit irritation whenever there is some wind/dust in the eye but its easy to blink away.
I had contoura done about 1.5 months ago… definitely one of the best decisions I made. I was extremely hesitant and nervous about it.. I researched the hell out of contoura, the pros and cons before I made my decision. I see wayyy better than I did before getting this done. Everyone’s eyes are NOT the same… everyone’s heals differently… do not let people’s “horror stories” keep you from making your decision. Follow what they tell you to do to the tee you shouldn’t have issues. My only cons have been that I do need reading glasses from time to time depending on how small the wording is but they explain that to you, and I see halos(but they have improved since surgery) but I’d rather deal with that than being blind as a bat… good luck 🍀 to those who are getting it done or those who will consider
Boy does it hurt a LOT 6 hours after surgery. My goodness, and I can't consume the pain killer since my alergic to some medicine. But after all that, seeing without glasses is a miracle. Heck I still can't believe I don't wear it anymore. Thanks modern day technologies
@@yumnaahsan3180 Heey I just need you first to be reassured that your eyes within a week are gonna see magnificently. Before surgery: don't worry at all like I did. It was totally useless. The surgery is too simple, almost painless, and is done within 5-10 mins literally. During surgery: just listen to your doc. Oh gosh I was so stubborn and kept on moving that I almost got my eye hurt. So, you just stay calm, and let the doc do his job. You're gonna feel tickling and picking in your eyes. Ignore this. Keep on singing the song which takes you to a different world in your mind or think about the thing that relieves you the most, you'll feel nothing. I did so during my second eye. During my first eye, I kept on concentrating on everything being done to me. NEVER do so. After surgery: You'll feel pain in a few hours. This is bcuz the anesthetic will not last this long. Prepare an analgesic to take in 2 hrs. -Sleep sleep sleep as much as you can. Every time I woke up I felt immediate improvement of my sight. Also, sleep whenever your eyes hurt or feel tired. Once you wake up, you're all good. Care routine: -Set a timer to take your eye drops on time. -Avoid screens. -Never touch your eyes without tissues. ‐Wear sunglasses anytime. I wore it at night indoors even cuz of the lighting that annoyed me.
@@yumnaahsan3180 If you got any questions you can ask me anytime. Even email me at samsoom8320@gmail.com I always had questions so that's why I'm offering an extra mile, just in case.
My reflexes kicked in but while he was on my right eye. i jumped. but it was totally involuntary despite me knowing what was going on. First day was good in retrospect but the sensation when the numbing wears off is certainly a different feeling. i can only equate it to your worst seasonal allergies, a cat rubbing itself on your face, perhaps dust in your eyes and throbing for me. i took ibprofen and it became much more tolerable. i tried to sleep (honestly) but i simply couldnt. i just kept my eyes closed all day listening to south park. i had to apply the antibiotic drops evey two hours until my post op which was 3 days away. i had mine done yesterday. i go back for post op monday. so no sleep for me. BUT i can see! the ONLY thing that bothers me is the antibiotics. they feel like pouring needles into my eyes. it goes away but then 2 hrs later i have to go it again. lol im glad i got it done. just ready to heal now. take ALA and b12 for nerve regen.
After 11 years of Spectacle Life I done Laser Surgery 9/12/2022 It's been great and little bit scary 30 min of Surgery, 1st 6 hrs pretty hard and painful for me, then the Next Day, It's a great Feeling to see with High Definition vision of the World with our Eyes, It's my 2 day after Surgery, Little bit of dizziness and halos, but Clarity is so good, also some redness around the cornea!...Doctor told it'll recover in Day by Day !
@@happyimage7931 I did mine in January this year. Now my vision is very good since 9 months passed, I don’t have any side effects at all now. Literally the best decision I have ever made. Don’t worry, actually in my case, after 1-2 months, bluriness went away by itself. The eyes are very sensitive in the first weeks even months it depends on individuals. But it will go away as time passes
Just curious as I'm going to my evaluation tomorrow. They talk about not rubbing your eyes and keeping any debris away during the healing process (which makes sense) . I'm a commercial roofer and it's a rather filthy job. No goggles? I mean at least I could keep my surrounding area around my eyes clean wearing goggles. Well I better make that my first question. I'm usually off for a few weeks this time of year but depending even if I qualify I might have to re-schedule for next year pre layoff so I have ample time to heal up.
Mine will be in 3 days…..wish me luck guys. I have been on glasses/contact lens for 21yrs and it really took very long for to make my mind for this surgery Fingers crossed 🤞 hope all goes well.
@@colinmishael9652 My surgery went well. I am happy with short sighted …got the 20/20 vision however I’m not fully satisfied with my reading vision. I have my 1 month check up this Friday and see what the doc say. Overall I am happy that I don’t need to wear contacts or glasses.
quick question If your supposed to keep your eyes closed during the first day what are you supposed to do after the sugery? just sit at home blind with your eyes closed?

I have done my lasik its three weeks now... 1st week u cant go to work and u cnt travel out as dust can cause harm to ur eyes as it happens in my case..first 3days u wont be able to open ur eyes n vison will be very minimal due to soreness n pain.. After 2 weeks u cn resume office as now ur vision will be somewhat clear bt continuous staring at laptop can makes ur eyes red and swollen.. Em on 3rd week n i still has the red eye issue due to staring on tv n laptop... Doctor says its takes atleast 3 to 6 months for eyes to fully recover... I advice to take atleast 20 days off from office if you wanna do lasik.. All the best...
J L I experienced nothing like that, even immediately after my lasik I was on the seaview at afternoon. I just used my drops on time One week is enough, your case must be different you must be having slow healing rate
Fareeha Shafique thanks for answering..i wanted to know how much was your glasses prescription?..and what kind of LASER surgery you had?..ive heard there are many types of laser surgeries for nearsightedness..im confused which technology is better..
@@ChrisLKF risks, side effects like halos, starbursts, and dry eye they can disappear or last forever...they can seem to not appear and appear later... and not to tell if you feel pain like needles... anda the worst part is it only lastas 10 to 20 years (they can fix what's wrong TODAY NOT TOMORROW)... and if they touch your eyes they are more difficult to cure from other things like cataract....
I haven't heard anything bad from relatives who have done this surgery so i'll do it, most people who are scared to do it they eventually go and regret not having gone earlier, additionaly side effects occur because for some people it is better to get PRK instead of Lasik. If doctors advice is followed and you take good care of your eyes there wont be any permanent side effects, also stop discouraging people to go and do it by saying it is dangerous just trust technology
Getting mine tomorrow morning and I’m a little apprehensive. 😮💨 I hope everything goes good and I don’t go blind! Edit: not blind, but I can see everything. Pain was there for the first day and the lights were super intense, even in my dark bedroom. The pain level after I woke up from surgery was a 7/10 before fading down to a 2/10 after medicine. The first day after surgery, I had no pain and I thought I went back to blurry vision, but lighting is important to sight, so I opened my shades and saw everything clearly in extreme detail. My eyes feel a bit dry, but I stay hydrated to help the healing process. Despite the recovery pain (once the numbing wears off), I would do it again in a heartbeat if it meant being able to see this clearly again. No regrets so far. Edit2: 3 weeks in, no complaints, no dryness! Got used to sleeping with a sleep mask thanks to this procedure, but a pricey one but it’s well worth it. Get your eyes done if you qualify for it and have the money!
I just got my lasik procedure yesterday. The office was 90 minutes from me and I knew I was going to have to be back the next day for a post op checkup. I rented a hotel for the night. Yesterday morning I drove myself down, got the procedure and then took a taxi to my hotel. You can see, it's just blurry and stuff. Not enough where you can't navigate. At night I walked to a fried chicken place and ate some dinner. This morning I had my post op and now have 20/20 in my left eye and 20/15 in my right eye. 100% would recommend, but make sure you go to a reputable doctor. You need to take a bunch of tests to verify that you'd be a good candidate.
@@Doctorawwad Thanks for your input .My biggest issue right now is that my left eye seems to have more clarity than my right eye (my left eye was always sharper than my right eye even before Lasik). It is month now after my Lasik Is this normal ?
@@akshay17777 I am almost in my 8th month after LASIK. Got it done at a very famous hospital here. Still my left eye has not recovered. My right eye had more power and recovered within a month. Left eye is still blurry. I took excellent care of my eyes so I really don't have any dry eyes issues. Doc said it might take a year for my left eye to see fully like right cause they corrected cylinder vision or something. Do you see floaters? Tiny black dots/string like structure when you stare at a white wall or bright sky?
@@btsarmyforever3816 I have the same issue .Its been 6 months now but it is the right eye which is less sharp .Its normal for one eye to be more sharp than the other post Lasik as well according to the doctor .I have residual astigmatism in my righ eye after lasik My left is more sharper than the right but overall combined vision is what matters .Never compare both your eyes .Check whether it is good overall .

"Because the corneal flaps never heal after LASIK, eye protection should be used before participating in dangerous sports such as basketball and also in work such as gardening. Once traumatic accidents occur, careful and detailed examinations should be undertaken under slit lamp as soon as possible. If dislocation/stria/split of corneal flaps is identified during emergent conditions, corneal flap reposition should be considered immediately. Thorough irrigation and scrapping off the debris by sponges between corneal flaps and stromal beds should not be ignored. Soft bandage contact lens should be placed at the end of surgeries."
MYTH: The corneal flap never heals. Once the surgery is over, the flap is laid back into place to heal on its own. Some people believe that the flap never actually heals. However, this is not true. The flap starts to heal within one day of having the surgery.
free thinker Although I never had the procedure done myself, I have a few friends who was at -3.5 to -4.0 before lasik and 20/20 after the procedure. They never developed any post Lasik complications, maybe just mild dry eyes.I was told from them if you have dry eyes to begin with or if your vision is extremely nearsighted like -7 or something then you may not be a good candidate for lasik. And FYI Lasik isn’t even 100% success & effective, some others still require glasses after Lasik. The best way to know is schedule a Lasik consultation where the doctor can give you a more in-depth assessment to determine whether or not Lasik is for you
Yes, it will heal. Don't let other people tell you it won't heal because it will. I had mine done for a few years now and when I went in to have my eyes checked she said the flap is healed.
Hey...mine is -5 I am thinking of LASIK too but my doctor brother recommended to avoid due to high number which causes much thin cornea and is not good for eyes in a long run I am upset....is there no way to get rid of glasses and have a clear life
I was thinking about having this done because I've been wearing glasses for decades and seen a commercial that said it would cost $300 per 👁️, then I made a call & he said it'd be around $6,000 😱. Now I think I need a $hugga momma 🥴 & a GOFUNDME account 🤦🏾♂️.
Dude you have along healing process.. if I was a boxer I wouldn’t of got this surgery just my opinion, id be worried of having the flap fuck up on you.. think about it this way you should be in a pool at least a month.. good luck with healing though I’m sure you’d be able to box eventually, me I’m just a lil paranoid 😬

LASIK will correct your vision up to the day of procedure. But it will not stop your eye sight from getting worse. If that makes sense. As we age. Are eyes will need glasses. So getting the procedure. Will not prevent that from happening
