Klusener is the official father of all finishers, he was a beast. Its a shame that cricket has forgotten such a great. I doubt todays generation even knows about him. Truly one of the greats of all time.
the very bright example was the 2003 WC 1st group innaugral thrilling match between SA & WI where Klusenser single handedly had brought SA near to the victory and his wicket that too in the form of that catch by Chanderpaul too was a thrilling one seriously.
@@loveandpeace9970 Come on yaar. Just don't interrupt the flow. Maybe you are right about Viv but this video is about Klusner. So lets enjoy the moment about him.
Jersey No.69 Legend Sir Lance klusner Greatest All Rounder I never Forget Him Entire My Life Great Finisher Single Handedly THANKS To You For Your Great Contributions
He was the best, haven't seen a player or an all rounder of his calibre, watta player, 99 world cup is known for Klusener more than Aussies winning the title
klusener was the main reason south africa defeating srilanka pakistan in world cup 99 with his allrounder capability really unlucky but still australia team was really the deserving champions they started lising to nz and pak but raise there game in crucial matches and steve waugh the ultimate captain played the best world cup innings south africa bowling was great batting was never consistent yes 1996 world cup unlucky i can say somehow lost to westindies sorry for klusener really the best allrounder in 90s
@@deepakshethia5420 Even today if we watch that match it hurts, I still have the question in mind with Lance in such a good form he could have smashed one more boundary and he had still 2 bowls left why was he in a hurry with Donald slightly confused whether to run or not there was no proper communication between these two and messed up the golden opportunity.
@@dushyant5240 bilkul sahi vai... test cricket ko interesting bana diya tha Viru paji.. isiliye toh Viru paji ko me apna Guruji manta hu.. mere life ka sabse bada role model... #Viruism_Forever....🙏🙏❤❤
Only the people who have seen cricket at that time would really know the value of Zulu.....he had a fan base that literally no one cud match at that time. He literally was seen like Gayle on steriods with almost no brag. A cult hero....ppl try to compare between eras but when imagine how many cricket lovers from outside of his country were his diehard fans...a rare talent. If ever any team deserved to win a world cup just be coz of oneman it was SA 1999. ZULU, thanks for the memories
Bro you gave a great knowledge of cricket... Mujhe vi 22 saal ho gye cricket Dekhte hue bevan klusener are the two best match winners.... And also Mike hussey
The term finisher came because of him...he finished so many matches for SA on his era..Absolute Legend..my favorite he was..love this video..post more of his innings..
My favourite all time all rounder... no one can match his class while batting in pressure @ depth especially while chasing.... Unfortunately he is being forgotten by many😞
When i think abt Lance Klusner, that painful semi final match against Australia comes to my mind...years have passed..still the sad faces of Klusner, Donald and other SA players on tht day hurt me....i really wanted SA to win tht match by thrashing those arrogant Aussies...
Klusener was dropped from South African team after 2003 World cup because he had refused to play under captaincy of inexperienced Greame Smith. That was the turning point of his career.Though after 8 months he once again got opportunity to play for South Africa but he wasn't was at his best. After the flop show in 2004 Odi series in New Zealand,he was permanently dropped from the team which forced him to announce his retirement from International cricket.
Smith wanted to developa new team I guess .. He used Shaun Pollock as a 5 th bowler in a match against Bangladesh. Another match Gary Kirsten as number 9
I used to imitate his bowling action and batting stance .. Loved to be called Lance Klusener by my team mates .. Still I believe he is the best all rounder cricket has ever come across ..
javed minadad did it only once , but lance klusener did this twice. one of the cleanest striker of cricket ball. Doin nash did the same mistake as chetan sharma who bowled a full toss to javed miandad in 1987
Zulu ❤️❤️ , I still remember I cried when alla. Donald got run out , klusner single handadly fought in that match , absolute legend , now a days kids didn't even know him
great days of cricket. We had great batsmen as well as bowlers, evenly poised. South Africa was the most dominant team. Before the 99 world cup it was pretty sure that SA was going to win. What a team they had!!! Kirsten, Gibbs, Cullinan, Cronje, Rhodes, Klusener, Pollock, Donald, Kallis, Boje, Elworthy... And Dear Kiwis..please bring back that good jersey with grey instead of blue
Those who say Dhoni is the best finisher have never seen Klusener and Bevan batting. Nothing to take away from Dhoni, but they were far far better finisher considering the 90’s bowling line up.
Lance Klusener The Superhero of late 90s.He was The perfect finisher an took South Africa home many times finishing games at No 6 or 7 was not easy an its simple Batting was pretty difficult then as compared to now.
Those were the golden days of cricket. At that time even a target around 200 was difficult to chase.Even competition btw bat n ball. Rules were good, bowling was competitive and pitches were made which favours bowler as well. Unlike today where everything belongs to batsman. Kluesner was champion batsman. He was t20 batsman in the era of 50 overs game.
Lance klusner was a dynamite , he just didn’t hurt opposition , he became nightmare for many players even after their retirement. Like his fearless hammering in World Cup against Pakistan , he toyed Akram, Waqar , Sohaib , razzaq , Azhar mahamood ! Not to mention kiwis , aussies , srilankans and Indians !
My greatest childhood memory Klusener innings against australia in wc 1999 and Saeed Anwar 194 against India.....miss those days🙄 90s was best era ever❤️❤️
Both these teams are my favourite.. Klusener is a beast.. And I was surprised to see Billy Bowden doing the umpiring.. I thought he came to umpiring quite late.. But this video proved me wrong.. Thanks to the uploader
Probably the first proper finisher of the cricket. Klusener was one of the best all rounders in history of cricket. brilliant player and a great human being as is the every south African
You sir are a hero among men. I have been waiting 20years to see that. It was not broadcast on normal TV in SA, it was only on Supersport. I remember people telling me about it back then. I search youtube every now and then to see if someone uploaded it. Thanks a million.
There is no passion and soul in cricket as it used to be in the 90's . T20 and leagues have ruined cricket for ever. ICC should ban the international players to play in the leagues
People always talk about his brilliant batting in ODI cricket but they forget he was a brilliant ODI bowler too, he could get wickets and keep the runs down. He was probably the greatest ODI all-rounder ever.
Those were the golden days of world cricket...every match was telecasted and the atmosphere was electric... Zulu was one of the great finisher of all time... In those days it was tough to bat later half of the innings... Good old days...
I cried when match tied between south africa and Australia ..i literally cried and could not sleep till 4am .. Just could not digest how cruel cricket game can be .
Wow, great video. Thanks @cricket king Zohaib! And what a tight penultimate over by New Zealand and probably WC'99 tournaments, too, highest wicket taker Geoff Allott. Wonder what happened to him, I used to copy his action a lot as a kid! Childhood memories! :-)
Klusener was one of the best allrounder ever. In 1990's having a strike rate over 100 was not easy when u had the bowlers like wasim akram, shoib akhtar, mc grath, ambrose, walsh, Alan donald, chaminda Vaas, Javagal Srinath. Though it was one day game but had the thriller like T20. Lance klusener is one of my alltime fav cricketer
Lance klusner 1996-2002 he was beast ..he was real finisher ....no one compared his innings when ball is old , reverse swing , no field restrictions, no two ball
One of the best finishers, he is the topmost in my list ..Klusener -Zulu !!cannot forget his jersey number 69 even today..the worlds best finishing pair Klusner & Boucher ...
Wow! Finishing a match with a six during no power play era and with old ball wasn't easy. This man has done quite easily for many years.! My favourite all rounder of all time. If zulu is batting then would be icing on the cake! By the way number 69 has been removed permanently by ICC😂😂😂😂
King klusner zulu hammer and tongs maan what unbelievable hitting we used to see him play had he been in todays cricketing time he would have been right in the top bracket extraordinarily talented guy zulu the entertainer
Klusener best finisher he is in fine touch at 99WC but Allan Donald the real culprit to plots the World Cup that was best chance for SouthAfrica to win
To be 7 down and still have players like klusener and Boucher at crease is unbelievable.. SA had amazing batting depth during these times with lot of high quality allrounders like kallis, klusener, pollock, McMillan, boje , cronje..
Underrated batsman of all time... Such a beast he was... I still remember he was having the heaviest willow.... Man oh man such a talented player he was... I wish he played more for south africa...
