Last Day With 29 Commando | British Army 

It's great to see that in this country there are still institutions that demand the highest standards and that we have people who are prepared to challenge themselves to the highest standards . I salute you all 🇬🇧.

Fabziy, these videos are an inspiration to me. I’ve been seriously unwell with chronic gastritis for months. Doctors have slowly started to sort me out. I was able to start walk/running a couples of weeks again. This morning I completed my first 10 mile run. It’s watching these lads train and want to succeed that has motivated me to get back to running and getting my fitness back. Not easy when I am 54 and two stone over weight. I am seeing results with weight steadily coming off. Good luck to all the guys doing their Commando training.

Incredible stuff. So much hard work and grit on show, the lads were hurting but not a single one of them backed down. Respect to all of them, I hope they can keep the tempo up and pass on to the AACC. With regards to yourself Fabziy, this has been a genuine journey. I've loved every single video, from the subject to the length. Your editing is top notch and you're giving the perfect mix between on camera input and letting the scene play out for us. Mr. Fabziy sir! Thank you so much for these videos. They really are truly inspirational. I'm 56 and had been sick and was so unfit. But your vids showed that it can be fun as well as hard work. I never got that it could be fun as well as satisfying, but now I do. Three months later and I am really starting to make progress on those hills! Good luck with your career and thanks again. Superb Videos @Fabziy Can I ask ? What Camera do you use ? and what stabilising platform did you use when they were running along the road sequence ? How do you go about getting all the permissions to film ?

As none were wearing ‘Army Commando’ on their shoulders, I take it they were on ‘selection’ for the All Arms Commando Course at CTCRM. Used to be 13 weeks. Ex RM.

"1up, 2up, 3up, 4!" Reminds me of pavement bashing runs around Plymouth in boots combat high on pre beat up in the 80's!

If these lads pass the all arms commando course, can they then transfer to the Royal Marines and join a unit straight away? Or do they have to do further training? Or start basic all over again?

What the gen on the army’s involvement with your channel then mate, do they have to give you a nod or give any rules etc ?

Being shorter makes it’s harder keeping up on the running I’m 5”6 and had to lengthen my stride and dig in most of the lads were taller but to be fair on a load carry I was strongest like the little pack donky . My unit was the 289 commando 1990 -1992 you never really see anything about 289 which is a shame

I’m looking to join the reserves, currently training to get myself in shape. I understand that the regular army may not take reservists seriously however once you’ve proven yourself does that attitude change. I would appreciate anyone with experience to get back to me. Thanks

Hi Fabziy! I have my assessment day(s) in under a month and wanted to just ask about the fitness tests and if press-ups are mandatory in order to pass the test? as I struggle a lot with press-ups. I have been doing the plank for 2 minutes everyday as well as sit-ups everyday in order to help my core. Thanks!

Guy I need advice. I’ve just had my triage call and passed, I was as honest as I could be but trying to remember everything was hard. I know my medical records will be assessed hence why I told them everything to the best of my knowledge but I am worried that if I’ve missed something it could be treated as me lying. Has anyone else here been through this or am I just worrying for nothing.

challenge for you and Dan, stand against the wall or door, slide down to the sitting position and hold the position as long as you can, this was a punishment by the pt instructors at the army apprentice collage army school of catering aldershot. see how long you can last, i did 50 secs first try at 56 years old. imagine sitting in a chair , with the chair removed, arms straight by side. warning! you may not be able to walk afterwards, so have observer with you.
