i swear to got this entire album was teased all the way back in their older albums (Yes, i'm talking about their older song, "satellites")

Wellness made me feel like I was sleeping at the bottom of the ocean. This one makes me feel like I’m drifting thru space.

I usually expect albums/eps to end with a BANG! A track thats full of energy and gives you a rollercoaster type of a send off! At first, I was alittle disappointed that this wasn't that, so I relistened over and over and over and over, and each time I made it back to this song, It made more sense to me why the rollercoaster came to a halt right here. Even if the piano and ambience are so beautiful and make me so nostalgic, why did it have to be the final track?! All the other songs are so energetic and lively and now im supposed to relax? Its so hard to settle down, why couldn't this album just end with an explosion?! Something loud, just something big and intrusive that takes over my senses??! I feel like the debris that contains the earth in this story aren't just literal but metaphorical, I feel like nowadays its really hard to sit still or even focus on one thing without another thing trying its hardest to pull my attention to it. Alot of it has to do with my phone admittedly. The endless stream of debris in the form of texts, buzzes, flashy lights, loud noises, all exploiting my senses that pull me away from my stream of creativity. And some days im so out of enery that I just give myself up to the debris and let it feed me mindless colors. And that makes me wonder what it's like for those people that live 1000 years from now, I can only imagine that our way of putting our brain on the shelf through scrolling mindlessly has only gotten more enveloping and consuming as the centuries went by. I wonder if they even move anymore. Theres this quote that resonated with me and makes me think about this song "An artist respects the silence, it serves the foundation of creativity." A really trashy musician yelled that out in a tiktok video but thats not the point. Comparitively this song is alot more calmer and reserved than the rest on this EP, theres no singing, no drums, just the piano and ambience to accompany it. I've heard someone say that the sound of a piano is alot like wind. With a trumpet or a violin, each thing you speak through those instruments is a statement while piano has the ability to fill the background with just, noise. And not in the way the debris creates noise but unintrusive and flowing. RYU. And it gives center stage to all the voices and people speaking. The waning battery powering the satellite is finally dry and the last bastion of longlost passion is now dead. After finishing its last and very arbitrary mission, it floats amongst the debris just like any other spacejunk. Someone in their room listening to the RYU transmission when it abruptly ends. For the first time since they were born, they're trembling and they don't know why. Their heart is beating and they don't know why. They stumble off of their chair and their whole body slams into the floor. The flowers littered around the room may have cushioned them if they weren't made out of plastic and if the floor wasn't made out of metal and if the bright flashing multicolored lights weren't as disorienting as they were. They crawl hand by hand on the cold metalic floor and with each uneventful inch the thought runs through that persons head, "I'm so tired" And each time the thought of returning to comfort pacifies their brain, the melodies of RYU makes their blood pump. "I want to sit back down." Pump "I want to keep watching." Pump "I want to keep eating." Pump "I want to move. I want to move. I want to move. I want to move." Finally at the foot of the door, the person extends their frail arms as far as possible to grasp the door knob, their bottom half of their body lay slack like a stuffed doll and their hands reach so high. They grab the doorknob and use it to pull themselves off the ground. "I'm scared but I want to move." And once the door is opened, A bright yellow light blinds them, its the sun! Ofcourse its the sun! Everyone knows what the sun is! Its a ball of fire! Then the person felt stupid. They didn't achieve anything, all they did was open a door. Anyone could do that? I should have just stayed inside. I should just go sit back down. And then right before the person was about to close the door. They heard something. Something like, Singing? But it was awful, nothing like the caliber of what was on the RYU transmission. But they were definitely imitating a song from the transmission, I could recognize that melody from far away. The person opens their door wider this time and sees that an old lady is kneeling on the turf a short ways away from the person's room. The old lady shrieks the lyrics of AFTERLIFE and dryly whistles the tune of YING AND YANG. The person stands there mystified at what they're witnessing. And then they turn and look around. The neighbors from afew feet away are standing at their doorstep and their neighbors too and their neighbors and their neighbors and now everyone here living in this tight compact space are all standing outside. Theyre all confused and they all feel stupid. But they all came here for the same reason as the person. "I want to move." The people with hot blood run over to the old lady sitting on the turf they trip and bruise their legs and they laugh so hard with fear because this is the first time they've ever sparked blood since their birth they laugh they keep laughing they sing, they sing and keep singing over eachother the children have ran past their parents guarding the doors and are dancing the little girls and little boys are all holding hands and are in a ring theyre moving theyre moving theyre jumping up and down they laugh and when they fall down on the turf and scrape they cry they cry and the other kids keep jumping until they all fall down they fall they fall they fall and they keep singing the adults put their hands around eachothers waists they spin eachother they spin and then a lady walks up to a man and invites him to move they move they dance they twirl they spin they fall they stop and start the lady even twirls the gentleman but hes too heavy hes heavy and not wanting to let go of him she falls to the earth with him and doesnt let go until they both are side by side holding hands theyre laughing theyre singing and all the lyrics that come out are wrong the melody has changed substantially by this point but they keep moving they keep dancing they keep shouting the kids keep spinning the gentlemen keep twirling their blood is hot and they want to love they keep shouting this time they keep moving because they havent moved since they last moved and then the bright orange light outside turns from orange to blood red. The children couldnt see it because they were twirling hands interlocked. The gentleman couldnt hear it because they were too busy listening to the laugh of the ladies who couldnt hear it because they were laughing so loud the old Lady who's hearing and sight had become jaded. Couldnt. But she could feel the vibrations within the earth she could feel the laughing she could feel the spinning and the twirling and the dancing and the moving and the shrieking and playing. Large fireballs had started to rain on the earth theyre hot but our blood is even hotter and the music the hottest the kids played the adults swooned the man told the lady i love you and they kissed the teenagers danced blushing their feet werent accurate and the teenagers would step on eachothers feet the boy would say sorry and the girl was scared the girl the girl stopped hearing the music and looked she looked up hot fire was falling from the sky tons of it millions billlions unquantifiable and it was all raining down the girl screamed she shrieked but not hot she screamed cold but the people the people didnt know that it wasnt part of the song they didnt know it wasnt the song she was singing so the boys sang louder and the kids who pulled the metal off the ground banged them louder louder sound the drums and the adults now looking straight up with their lover beside them looked up but instead of screaming cold they screamed hot they screamed because they havent been hot since the day they were born and their blood was hotter they kept singing they kept dancing they skept shrieking and they told the kids the boys the girls the babies the teenagers the young to keep looking at eachother and to keep singing about eachother and if they fall to keep standing up and dancing again and they kept dancing and looking at eachother under the hot red glow and they looked at eachother and kept singing songs about love about trust about you and me and about who used to be and they kept singing and they kept moving forever. This song being last hits me because it feels as if the AI satellite is satisfied, and now it has found its peace and is drifting away into a serene eternal slumber.

I so hoped we'd get another song like Satellites one day. ♥
