[LAST EPOCH | 1.0] - THORN TOTEM SHAMAN - SMALL UPDATE, SLOW PROGRESSION! 

To help solve the Stormcarved Testament proc problem, invest in the SPIRITWHISPERER node in the Spriggan Form tree. It gives you these vale spirits, these sound like minions, but they're not. They are actually just buffs that float around the character and will cast your spirit thorns when you cast them, but they count as you casting them. I think they need to be reworked to just have them at maximum vale spirits at all time, because you're supposed to get one after you cast spirit thorns five times, but it isn't like they're on a timer; once you have them you just retain them for the map. More so, if you the maximum count in "ECHO OF A WORLD" (the zone where you collect the echo rewards), you just keep them in between echoes. And then it helps if you have BRANCH STORM to have more piercing. The more chances for spirit thorns to deal damage the more chances for Stormcarved Testament to proc.

hey brotha, been watching you since 30k subs! So regarding this build I think the best options is to go for poison, you can actually stack lots of poison using vines (transformed into ranged vines) and having global poison chance for your minions so the thorn totems inflict poison themselves, with poison having 30% innate resistance shred it's better to increase poison duration and stack lots of it.

I've been slowly working on trying a variant of this, going into Cold Damage, thanks to having found a "Branch of Hallows" Unique Staff. And I think that might be the best way to evolve the build (though it is a level 74 Unique, so comes online kinda late). You get +2 to all Cold Skills, which won't apply to Thorn Totem, Summon Spriggan, or any other Minion for that matter (which I feel is an oversight, as the Minion Tag should count for that purpose, not JUST the Scaling Tag), but does apply to Spriggan Form and Maelstrom. It also is a way to pump Ward into the build via Maelstrom (which is very easy to maintain with Spirit Thorns), as it comes with 3-4 Ward Per Second Per Stack of Maelstrom. And lastly, despite it being a very low-end base, it has a big +80-90 flat Spell Damage, and 150-220% Spell Damage while Transformed, to juice ya back up. So, you'd still have the Healing Thorn Totems via Spriggan, plus utilizing Spirit Thorns to keep up Maelstrom, for the damage and buffs it provides. And then the dual effect of Freeze for CC and Frostbite for additional damage, via Spirit Thorns and the totems. And then there is the curious interaction I am wondering on (and will test once my character can reach it is): If you spec Maelstrom to be able to target minions (Storm's Aid), will it auto-self-cast on a totem that fires off a Spirit Thorn via the Spriggan skillpoint "Wrath of the Glade", since the Spirit Thorn cast by the totem would be benefiting from the skill tree invested in by you? Because, if it does, that could result in some rather interesting stacking of Maelstrom.

I'm honestly surprised you haven't found an upgrade for your weapon. It should be pretty easy to get two t5 modifiers on any one particular base that you care about. You might be limiting yourself too much for your loot filter. Until you have two t5 I'd recommend highlighting almost any of the base item you want fill up a stash tab, then craft them. Even if it doesn't have any of the mods you want try and use the change mod upgrade on t3/4 mods to get the mod you want. I managed to get two minion affixes on the 1handed necro scythe looking base weapon that way. After that limit your loot filter to just the affixes you want. Crafting is a big part of upgrading gear until you start wanting t6/t7 affixes and then you just look at exalted items.

Loving your LE vids. Trade guild is 100% better for 90% of the player base. I have gotten plenty of awesome drops playing cof, but my gear would be so much better bought. (I havent used any LP items yet).

note about ancestral speed : increased totem cast speed increases the speed at which you cast totems, not their thorn casts

Hi mbXtreme, I play the same build with the merchants guild, and it feels about the same, I didn´t have to grind for the lagon relic, just bought that one for cheap but I am level 97 now and still missing 100k favor to reach rank 8 to buy uniques with LP. bought/crafted pretty good gear already and upgrades are either incredibly expensive or would be legendaries with 2+LP that I can not get yet. I do feel motivated still to make a good looking build that I would be satisfied with and attempt all T4 dungeons but as of now, I still need to grind for that rank 8 and then a dozen and a half temporal sanctums to get the stats that I need on those uniques. but yea build is still kinda good.

Lol 400-500 times, "Total echos ran: 193" - I know it feels like more, but that's not much in the grand scheme of things, and you can push corruption as you kill Lagon. I'm trying to roll +4 frost claw on a twisted heart... now that's painful lol :-D But yes... MG is much easier than CoF, but what fun is that?

Does the modifier on unique amulet, increased damage while transformed, affects the damage of totems (thorn and healing totem) while in spriggan form?

well yeah COF seemed very good at start so many exalted so many uniques but theres a chance you farm non stop for 2 days and still not have anything close to what you need!! quite frustrating

Having played LE for a few years now I'm actually really shocked at how poorly balanced the classes are right now. Fubgub last time I checked was soloing like corruption 2500. I wasn't expecting too many people to break 500 corruption but warlock and a couple other builds basically are immune to dmg

Hey! i`m farming 500+ corruption monoliths with this build (little bit different but anyway) - quite easy! And without armor shred gloves. and without LP on relic. and few LP in general. You can find some videos in my RU-vid channel. keep farming! keep grinding! You CAN DO IT! :)

I finally uninstalled it today, at level 99 and a half. I can't do anything other than run Monolith echoes, and even that takes a few tries to get into. Why? Disconnects. It takes ages to get a dungeon to work, or to get into the prophecy area, or anything else...
