I went there on Memorial Day and caught 12 came back and cooked to share with fam and friends. So far the taste is very delicious! No smell or fishy taste and the meat taste light sweet and tender not tough. About the mercury,every fishes have it only some have more some have less. Just don’t eat too often. For us,we eat 3 times in a month and it seems to be okay no one sick. Honestly we ate only the fish we caught all our life already,so far no sick from the fish.
One more thing, about fishing I cast and reeling in all the times,but just don’t want to be in the video 😂 that’s why I put him to be the star of the video 😂
Ok. I always catch and release fish anyhow but I was just wondering since I’ll be camping there soon. Maybe I’ll keep a catfish and grill. I usually use live mudsucker or minnow for catfish there. Thanks
@@LeeJ31 i used crawfish,prawns,and small shad it hit faster,but it’s up to you since you gonna catch and release. If you want to eat the fish, for the best taste that not fishy is between April to July. After that I think the catfish might have a little smelly. I’m just saying not for sure but try cooking for yourself. Have a wonderful camping.
