@@paulstillman4949 After the void the guy just stands aside Wu Kong and engages his cast animation, normally he should first return to his post and then the cast animation should begin.
@@karotconcarne3325 Yeah I supposed technically it's a camera/object positioning glitch - the animation itself plays out fine ;) This happens with a lot of the newly added skills in hardtype. See the Futomimi vid for the best example, he spams Fang Breaker throughout the fight and it looks ridiculous.

Ah yes, Masakado's grave. I have good memories of this area: Dying to Bishamonten multiple times due to him having 5 turns, debilitate, and being able to use tarukaja 4 times, followed by a regular attack that does 500 damage to my max vitality demi-fiend (and if he crits, he uses it again, killing me completely). I also remember my demi-fiend getting stoned and hit within the same turn from a common battle, making me lose the progress of beating 2 heavenly kings. I was level 70 at this point and it felt like I was at least 10 levels behind (this was on my first playthrough, not a low-level run) This all happened within the last few days, so I have no idea what kind of horrors lie after Bishamonten, I haven't gotten that far
Vishnu is about 1/3 of the reason I'm still putting it off, I don't want to be killed by chaturbate (Seth accounts for the other 2/3 - Satan isn't actually as scary because he definitely isn't possible without statmaxing so it's kind of a moot point, I'll have to pump everyone with stat boosters like I did for Demi Fiend in DDS1) I believe Vishnu and Seth are possible LL without stat boosting but both are very luck based
So Jim is making serious, non-half-assed preparations for his DDS2 run? Just to see the minimal requirements to beat those optional bosses without resorting to boosting items? Sounds based to me.
There is a skill that's called "Freikugel"? Good lord... japanese devs and their obsession with german words, and in the end, it translates to "Freeorb" or "Freeball". Still not as bad as the "Gewehr Rifle" in "Toukiden", which translates to "Gewehr Gewehr" in german, or "Rifle Rifle" in english.
@@keen7youtubeistoast796 to be fair, Freikugel is based off the opera "Der Freischütz" where someone makes a deal with the devil to get bullets that never miss, The devil will decide the target of the final bullet. Freikugel is not weird in a game with heavy ties to religion, mytholigies and sagas.

It's worse than you think, all 3 demons had endure! I made the Shiki specially for the FKEs in the last area. Also apparently using hashtags gets your comments auto-filtered now?

I love the contrast between Vishnu’s Attack getting blocked, his spell animation occurring silently and in the spot where he just Attacked Wu Kong, and Last Word’s sudden increase in volume followed by instantly taking out -Demi-fiend- -Naoki- Dante in one shot
Jesus, I'm not itching to get back to my hardtype playthrough anytime soon. Full kagutsuchi makes me want to commit die trying to fight off those 'strong' demons.
Incidentally, Shiva and Vishnu are kinda disappointing in vanilla Nocturne imo. We all know resist ailments is next to useless. They're both really fast too so it's tricky to get a quicker Prayerbot. In hardtype the Void Ailments passive can patch that up at least.
