Sikkim 🇮🇳is the first state in the world that is 100% organic: All of its farmland is certified organic. The policy implemented a phase-out of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, and achieved a total ban on sale and use of chemical pesticides in the state. The transition has benefitted more than 66,000 farming families.
The greatest & world-famous movie director Satyajit Ray made a documentary film on Sikkim. At that time it was a kingdom. Try to find the docu-movie named Sikkim on the 'Net. It will give you a very good idea of Sikkim, the country and kingdom that it was.
Bro.. organic is good. But a blanket ban can do the economy as it did to in Sri Lanka. Of course, Sikkim doesn't have that danger of going bankrupt as it's within federal system. We need to be careful.
But most of the vegetables and fruits in Sikkim markets (I personally asked) come from other states. At this population, it is not possible to feed all the people if all of us start avoiding fertilizers or pesticides.
Where the rest of India ,especially the North Indian side always gives the negative impression of our country ,the North Eastern Indian states never fail to give the positive impression about our country to the world in every fields ,to cover all the negative impressions .That's why ,I am always proud of the North East Indian states❤
Gangtok is surely one of the most beautiful hill towns of India ....I don't think except Shimla any other hill towns offer such beautiful infrastructure along with natural beauty I had visited both of them in my life so I can easily say they are way above other hill towns ... To enjoy more Tibetan Buddhism culture you guys can travel Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh ..North East is full of hill towns ..Aizwal is very beautiful too
Sikkim and it's monasteries effects me as well in a very positive way...a peaceful mind we can cultivate just by visiting over and over...Specially when left behind noisy Kolkata away. 😄

He is not talking about Royal families,he means that sikkim was the last kingdom to join India. While all other princely states joined just after few months or years of India's formation
In '75 it was a Kingdom before it joined India ... Since all other principalities joined in '47 .. aka way earlier ... That makes it the last kingdom ... Before it became India... Therefore my title 😁
@@knowsomething3684 well, the Royalties obviously reside in their respective Kingdoms! We have the royals in Udaipur, Puri, Mysore, Rajasthan, Hyderabad. They were/are still Kingdoms. 🤷 The title is still misleading! It should've been "The Last Kingdom to join India".

@@satyamkumaryadav8775 but I saw the Tibetan people in new delhi in front of chinese embassies carrying hoardings n protesting against them for their atrocities in tibet n destroying their culture , i have many tibettan colleagues here working with me ,n they are happy here.

@@DodoExplorers Correction, India didn't took Sikkim, Sikkim asked it to be a part of India due to the fear of getting taken over by expansionist China. Sikkim saw what China did to Tibet, killed million during its invasion to Tibet. And also Buddhism spread from India to Tibet and elsewhere. India is the birthplace of all Dharmic religion like Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism. So please learn India history before passing any comment...

You must visit northern sikkim like pelling & also the other route you can go yumthang valley, lachung, baba mandir & nathula pass. & other side of Gurudagmar lake. But You have to take a permission from there administration. Its a lovely part of the paradise. You could be better enjoy there.. its a incredible india. Jai ho.
17:51 if you see the map of Ancient India to the British India Sikkim was almost always part of the country. after independence when India was broken into different countries borders were drawn the princely states where given the option to join whichever country they want or to remain independent. Sikkim chose the latter. then China tried to invade Sikkim in 1967 and there was a fight between Indian and Chinese army which China lost. because of the threat of China and Sikkim's long history with India In 1975, the Prime Minister of Sikkim appealed to the Indian Parliament for Sikkim to become a state of India. In April of that year, the Indian Army took over the city of Gangtok and disarmed the Chogyal's palace guards. Thereafter, a referendum was held in which 97.5 percent of voters supported abolishing the monarchy, effectively approving union with India. India never invaded any country in its long history.
Lol...Sikkim was a Kingdom from 1642 to 1975. We have recorded history in writing. One should read more books about Sikkim before generalizing history. There was no country called India during Ancient History. The Indian Subcontinent was a collection of different kingdoms. Mordern India is a collection of different kingdoms.

@@sarthakkukreti2444 but sikkim was never influenced from Indian civilisation. Hinduism came to Sikkim from Nepal ( an Indian kingdom ) in 1800 n Buddhist came to sikkim from tibbet in 13 th century but mostly from 1600. Means Indian religion came to sikkim from Nepal , tibbet. Before that only kirat n lepcha were in sikkim. Lepcha were totally animist n kirat (limboo, magar) were animist with 5 PC Hindu effect. Magar of gorkha kingdom were Hindu though for pahadi effect ( as Nepal contains large pahadi community just like u kumaoni n garwali ). He is right. He did not said there was no indian civilisation. He said there was no country India. Country means having UNO recognisation. Political entity not civilsational entity. But it is true for whole world not only india.
November to January is the best time to see Himalaya.The third highest peak “Kanchenjunga” is situated in Sikkim ( India). In January , many more roads covered with snow ……so travelling for Gurudongmar lake , Nathulal pass is impossible but can go frozen changu lake.
Try visit Bhutan as well just a beautiful neighbour of Sikkim. I don't know whether you can visit it or not. But I would like to get some Bhutan vlogs🤩.

Btw, try to visit some remote villages in Sikkim and live in a home-stay more fun and exciting than hotels, you would love the home-cooked foods.
