Scenes recorded during the first half of 1994 covering the end of regular locomotive hauled passenger services in New South Wales. Over the weekend of July 9th & 10th, 1994, the last running of regular loco-hauled passenger services within NSW occurred. On the Saturday 42207 & 42214 hauled CL27/68 passenger from Sydney to Moss Vale and return via Robertson. On Sunday 4468 & 4403 worked SL56 Goulburn to Sydney service. Both trains were adorned with suitable headboards to mark the occasion. We know now of course that loco-hauled passenger trains would return to NSW when Country Link later introduced a weekly service to Broken Hill and Griffith, but eventually Explorer sets replaced these trains and all we are left with now is the Indian Pacific.
