I think it is great to have dungeons where people can't be revived. It adds a new difficulty level, it makes the game more immersive and forces people to communicate, find/invite friends that you can trust and actually be good at the game instead of simply button mashing.
You can see that the game is amazing, just because a player that speaks or reads ZERO Korean....is able to enjoy it and play with it and have great time! the game has so intuitive mechanics, that i would only imagine that if it was in English it would be THE best exp you ever had! (just because you would understand more the lore etc)
For the leavers I think it is good and bad.. The good part is we return to player/character reputation and when you create a group or when a certain character is in your group you know what he's up to. And at the end people will share names and have blacklist of character's names. This will "force" people to behave correctly in group or their reputation might take a hit and they will simply find nobody to play with them. The bad part is... well it sucks to have a harder time in a dungeon when you're down one member or to have to cancel it but I'm sure an autorefill queue is not that hard to put into the game. And that the good part works only if it's server only queue.
Considering this is a hard-mode (and as an old-school gamer like you :P), I prefer when I die, to end it for me. Makes the game more realistic that way imo. On the other hand, I wish to keep anything that I gained so far and have a small reward, should the rest of the team clears the dungeon (small pouch of in-game currency lets say).
I would have liked the video, but you said dislikes are fine too, so I clicked it, because "it's fine"... =P Anywho, know that moment of solo. Happened to me in a hard mode dungeon in Mu Legend. Got left alone because of two disconnects and third rage quitting on boss after dying twice. And since you only have a certain amount of dungeon runs, I stuck through it and was able to finish the boss; even if it took like 20 minutes fighting him. #FeelsGoodMan
Koreans do not like joining in the middle of a dungeon. I have played a few MMOs with them and if they join and its half way through they leave. So I guess the devs just decided ah well we don't need to add auto-join or auto-search. Plus the game is highly skilled base, so you could possibly do it without a full group from what I have seen. It may be added if it comes to Western market one day far from now. The story looks magical. Awesome Godserker!!
Haven't tried out Destroyer but was reeaaaally close to picking that over Berserker. I main Hammer in Monster Hunter and thought it would be fun to smash things here too with it. Can't go wrong with Zerker though, it makes leveling a breeze and "hard mode" feel like normal mode.
This proves my point, Yes you are a tad over level the dungeon but still you can solo it. It will take longer but you can do it. Again this proves my point.
I heard People saying that"we" shouldnt play Lost Ark rn, because if u buy such an account, u basicly buy someones ID and thats illegal in Korea... is it true ?.... cuz like i realy wanna play this game so badly :l
yes, because registering online games in korea require true authentication to prevent scammers and cheaters they use real accounts that links to your personal data. if you buy one online it's basically someone's stolen ID (real life ID, not just random email)
That seems to be the situation. Most of us didn't realize until recently so that's unfortunate. The word should spread about this though so players outside of Korea know what's happening and think twice about buying accounts, and even discourage others from doing it. It sucks, but it's scary to think people will get in trouble because of identity theft.
