Anyone out there reading this comment, please take the time and search for the word "Dajjal" on RU-vid. This will give you a true understanding of what's coming. Hence the "One Eye" symbol which we see around us. And why celebrities truly cover their right eye. This is the truth behind it.
Unless it’s a Terrence Malick film and then I want to punch myself in the face for being tricked once again by moving imagery and serene music only to find out there is no plot. Just 2 hours of screensaver shots. This movie actually looks really good though, so I can’t wait.
Midnight in Paris sucked. This looks good. Nothing like Midnight in Paris. Also, this looks good, like a thriller (not bad, like a horror movie). Ex - Silence of the Lambs was a thriller and a good movie. Hannibal was a horror movie and sucked.
Same. I'm actually really curious to see this. It has a psychological thriller vibe to it. I also couldn't help but be reminded of "The Neon Demon" a little bit because of the similarity in atmospheric cinematography.
@@aucuarium25 I feel the exact same way. Before the pandemic, the next movie I had originally wanted to see in the theater was "Black Widow." Obviously, after the pandemic started, my anticipation in going to a public movie theater to see that film or any other film prior to it just died. At this point, with where we're currently at with the pandemic as far as having more people vaccinated and putting in masked and social distancing mandates when needed, I think by the time "Last Night in Soho" does come out, I'll feel more comfortable with the idea of going to an actual movie theater first to see it.
Its not brilliant. The first trailer is always to advertise the actors. The second is for the plot. If word of mouth is not good than a third trailer is released to remind or reinforce the movie. Its NOT brilliant, its procedure.
@@Craig121000 lol what in the world are you on about?? Just because I made an observation on someone's face and commented on it doesn't make me a narcissist. Lol. You're reading way too much into what I wrote. It's absurd. It was a simple comment that didn't need to be heavily analysed. Not everything is as serious as that. With your logic, if any idiot off the street gets the answer to a difficult question correct just once, then that means they're a genius, right? Perhaps you've somehow managed to convince yourself that you're a good judge of character or something, but I'm sorry to say your judgement has failed you today. You can't judge what kind of person someone is based on one comment they made on the Internet...about a face at that.🤣 I think I would know if I were a narcissist. Thank you.
@@Craig121000 LMAOOO "You don't know this super unimportant fact because you're a normal person who doesnt think deep down about whether or not they're the thing that they judge so much?" like bro chill its a yt comment you aren't the joker.
so happy to see anya taylor joy finally getting wide recognition since her breakthrough in the queen's gambit. loved her since the witch. EDIT: everyone, I have already watched the witch, that was the first film I watched her in. however, I define a "breakthrough role" as a role that is universally praised and seen by the mainstream. to me, I consider the queen's gambit that bc of her first, prestigious wins in mainstream critics awards for the golden globes, critics choice, and SAG awards for the queen's gambit (and probably the emmy though she will have competition with Kate Winslet for Mare of Easttown which was equally as impressive but we'll see) this is significant bc she has never been nominated before and is winning on her first nominations! also, EVERYONE has seen the queen's gambit or at least heard of it, she was able to host SNL for the first time bc of it and even had a sketch for it. Everyone that knows of Anya Taylor Joy would easily say the first project that comes to mind is The Queen's Gambit, she is most recongizable for that role from the general public. Split could be considered her first mainstream role, but that film got mixed reviews and wasn't awarded in places and the only actor that everyone talked about in that film was James McAvoy. I rest my case now.
@@andynonymous2164 I'd say the queen's gambit is her breakthrough cos now everyone knows her now and she's been getting awards everywhere for her role on that show
I officially cannot even guess what this will be like. Edgar Wright is shaking up his style. Got to be one of the most interesting directors working today.
urgh Anya's singing and acting in this i mean and the other lead girl actor here looks talented too! after The Queen's Gambit, I'm just falling in love with Anya more and more! what a rising star, i only wish more success manifesting for her, she's so inspiring for an aspiring actor like me! and this is set in Soho, London i mean, if this didn't already look amazing, it's in my country wow can't wait!
First saw her in 'SPLIT' and instantly knew that she would be a major star if given the right roles. 'Queen's Gambit' cemented that stardom. Her greatest roles are still ahead of her.
Anya Taylor-Joy and Thomasin McKenzie, together with Abigail Breslin are my favorite young Hollywood actresses. They all started pretty young and managed to navigate their way across that tricky transition period relatively unscathed. They looked to be heading in the right direction too.
I think the technicolor gives off the vibe of the original Suspiria, but that’s all really. I can see some comparisons to Perfect Blue though. But we really won’t know until it premieres
That's how you make a trailer! Not only *right*, but also *awesome* connection between the visual & the sound, when one constantly help the other.. & Also.. you can barely feel the editing. It all, simply looks extremely on the spot. Perfect harmony.
Thomasin is a very unusual name for a girl, which is why it’s kinda weird that Anya Taylor-Joy has 1.) played a character named Thomasin, and 2.) is now appearing in a film with another actress whose actual name is Thomasin. Is the name “Thomasin” having a moment?
Apparently it's an Aramaic girls name meaning twin. Not sure how true that is. At first I thought it might be a weird spelling of Tamsin, but it's not.
Clicked for ATJ, but stayed for Thomasin. One of the few actresses who can look at ATJ as her reflection and legitimately think she is having a bad day.
Is that Anya singing? If it is, then I love her even more now. Also, I thought the movie was about a girl who let her imagination run wild. But a ghost story? Even better.
Edgar Wright is one of the few filmmakers who knows how to extract awe worthy visuals and a narrative that you can marvel at and study at the same time for hours
Everyone is sleeping on the amazing talent that is Thomas McKenzie. Anya Taylor-Joy is amazing, too, to say nothing of Edgar Wright and the rest of the cast he's assembled. If all that wasn't enough, they got me with 'Downtown'. Can't wait for this.
List of movie styles Edgar Write has done: Zombies (Shaun of the dead) Buddy Cop (Hot Fuzz) Apocalypse (The World's End) Kung Fu Action (Scott Pilgrim VS. The World) Heist (Baby Driver) But I think we are all beyond excited to see him do Horror.
I wouldn’t describe Scott Pilgrim as ‘Kung fu’ Action, more a love letter to comics and video games; but would LOVE to see an Edgar Wright film that properly did a twist on Martial arts.
I’m glad Edgar wrights got a female screenwriter to co-write this movie. I love all of his films but even I can admit his female characters are underwritten, so for his first female led movie this was important. And I can’t wait to see it when theatres reopen.
@@leah-marie5031 Oh I'm not saying it's a bad thing, just saying that they couldn't find a place for her and ended up giving Danny some of her lines. I love the movie as it is
Can Anya Taylor-Joy get casted in the next season of the Mandalorian!? She looks otherworldly🌠 She'd also make a great Spider-Gwen in the Marvel movies!
