Yes you can use normal arrows, but because of the toy bow and this little mini game is a reference to Abby's archery mini game in TLOU2, is why I used the toy bow for it

Do you remember the mini archery game Abby did with Owen in the aquarium? the toy bow Aloy finds is the same toy bow Abby used, the song you play on the plates to unlock the chest is Aloy main menu theme song, when you start to aim at the plates, Aloy theme starts playing in the background, you can use any bow you like to unlock the chest, but the bow and mini game is an easter egg for Last Of Us 2

Legendary item was inside the chest for the gold one, Epic one for purple, just random, which means, you may already had the legendary from another chest

@@thrownknifez oh I would have thought it was something from The Last Of Us, given you use this bow to activate it. Now that I listen to the notes more, yeah it was obviously the Horizon main theme, but kinda wish it was a TLOU2 reference beyond just the bow, but still cool, considering it references Owen Abby and Mel (Mel most importantly, for obvious reasons).

Pause the game, go to Load Game and select the last autosave on file, that should fix the glitch

@@thrownknifez unfortunately I have tried. It’s been a thing before the dlc released for me. I heard a way to fix it is through machine strike by forfeiting but there’s not a single one in the dlc map 😭

@@SweatyYolk Well that sucks, you would have thought one of the last saved files would fix it, if not the auto save an manual save should have fixed it as that was last time you were at a campfire

As soon as you aim at the plates, Aloy's theme starts playing in the background, which was the hint, but at first, I thought it would have been the tune Ellie played on the guitar at the end of Last Of Us 2, considering the bow and this archery game is referencing TLOU2, then I tried Aloy's theme as it was playing in the background, after getting the right sequence it worked
