I love this mall...so this video makes me very sad. I am 62, so this mall has been around most of my life.The last time I was there was in 2013 and though there were very few vendors left, the full mall was still open. I have spent many hours in this mall...watching movies...having dinner ....shopping....holding hands with my lady. I have been there at Christmas...Thanksgiving....on birthdays....and all kinds of special events. Ive been there with family (many now gone)...with friends (also, some who are now gone)..and lovers (some gone as well). So you see, this mall is much more than just a mall to me...its a part of Jacksonville...its a part of my life....its a part of me.
Breaks my heart.. my family and I used to go practically every week. Riding the train, the Disney store. I hear there was a movie theater but that was before me.
I remember seeing Lion King when they had a theater waaaay before the renovations. We would eat at Hovans when the food court had an upstairs. There's so many fond memories.
