I just watched you over on VINwiki and you talking about living with OCD really struck a chord with me as I have a bit of it myself, has subsided a bit over the years a bit. Anyway, I decided to check out your channel, chose this as the first video to watch and have subscribed. It was thoroughly enjoyable watching this car being driven in a spirited manner, with that glorious flat 6 singing along.
Matt, I know your feelings about other channels car mods but you should reach out to "Goonsquad". Young guys who could learn a lot from you. They are building a new shop so might be interested in " Obsessed Garage" touch. Would be a big boost for them and with 1.6M viewers a boost for you in young car guy market. Sort of like your AdamLZ work. Suggesting from an old guy not a kid so please consider.
Love these kinds of vids. Would've loved to see a back to back comparison with the .1 and .2 in terms of the drive but a cruise with other GT3RS' ain't bad.
The road is pretty similar to the Road in Germany around Emskirchen the home of the dragonlord ! Boneclinks visited already the dragonlord in Germany in Altschauerberg.
Matt, I have been driving a 991.1 GT3 for about a year now. I’ve had a lot of issues with rattles and buzzing from some loose components in the dashboard. It’s been in the dealer 3 times and I’m starting to figure out that there is more than one source of the noises. Some are minor, but others would at times be louder than the engine and even the radio couldn’t drown them out. After the third time into the dealer overall it seems tolerable most of the time, but on certain surfaces it’s still embarrassingly buzzy and rattly. I’m wondering if you’ve had any issues like this with any of your cars. I drove a Carrera before this and had no issues with it. I’m trying to decide whether it;s worth trading for a different GT3 or maybe an RS but my concern is that the problem is common. The tech at the dealer says that it is. But I doubt that many cars could be as obnoxious as mine is. I have one more year of CPO warranty left and will probably just keep taking it back but I am told the whole dash will need to be removed as they have already taped up everything they can get to from the outside. Really has been a bit disappointing overall.
Nice footage. aren't you afraid of stationary or mobile speed controls? If they ever catch me going 150 in a 80 I'll go to jail for sure lol. It's pretty strict here in Switzerland.
User 1888 in the US there are little to no speed traps. The only type of enforcement to look out for are actual police cars. There are almost never patrol cars on twisty roads like these. Only on highways.
