Full POV video of the Jaws ride at Universal Studios Florida from the last day it was open (January 2nd, 2012). Filmed from the front row.
Today was the last day for the Jaws ride at Universal Studios in Orlando. I filmed it several times today. This ride and the entire Amity area is now Diagon Alley and London for the The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which opened in 2014.

Sad it's no longer there, I remember going on that ride in 1990 a couple of months after it opened. Me n my husband were on our honeymoon

i don't understand why they removed it. i went to universal in february 2020 and there's nothing in the lake, just the machinery in the water and the shark statue hanging at the deck. i say they should put it back :)

I wish they had been able to keep the ride too, but I'm afraid you're mistaken. The lagoon in the middle of Universal Studios isn't where the Jaws ride was. It was separate. Diagon Alley is now on top of what use to be the ride.

I distinctly remember going on this ride, when I went to Disney when I was about 4 years old. I happened to be in the seat that the shark comes up to at 6:00. As I clung to my mom (and my new Yasha Mousekewitz plush) in terror, I looked into that shark's mouth and remember thinking 1. This is how I die and 2. So that's what the inside of a shark's mouth looks like (I saw the gears in the jaw). And I didn't put it together. I can't say I was sad to hear this ride got pitched.
