I have travelled on this route from 1979 to 2004 in express and passenger trains. Few remembered are Ajmer-Kacheguda passenger train and Meenakshi express. I still remember their numbers 581/582, 69/70 up/down.

11/05/22 I still remember today was the date when I had boarded my first ever MG train. Just an year but couple of changes😮‍💨

These train routes must be an example of how the Indian Railway was at begin to till here and a more interesting for the future

In 1974, I travelled from Jaora to Kachiguda (Hyderabad) and from Kachiguda to Bangalore. I think Ajmer to Bangalore was longest Metre Gauge Route in India.

Now let's tell you the scenerio of gauge conversion MHOW KHANDWA AKOLA GAUGE CONVERSION TALKING ABOUT DIVERTED PARTS OF THIS ROUTE FOR GAUGE CONVERSION Patalpani Mukhtiara Balwada Expect Kalakund ,rest of the station will get Broadgauge connectivity whereas Kalakund will continue it's services for heritage train in Monsoon Tukiakhed Adgaon Bujurg Expect Himerkhed,Wan Road,Dhulghat,Dabka rest of the stations will get Broadgauge connectivity but Himerkhed,Wan Road, Dhulghat, Dabka is permanently closed,no Broadgauge connectivity will come in these stations in future. And talking about the project, 21 tunnels will be constructed between Patalpani and Mukhtiara Balwada and Tukiakhed Adgaon Bujurg will cross through Melghat tiger reserve buffer zone.
