Lmao imagine writing such a dumb comment before watching, or knowing anything about the movie. They clearly bring that up in the movie that due to the aliens they only have one machine and it only lets them go 10 years(or what ever it is) into the future and back, and they cant choose the time. So what every time in the present they use those machines ,they will be sent exactly 10 years ahead. So as time moves in the present, so does the 10 years mark in the future. They cant just choose any year and time to go to

Don't know if it's possible but it seems like they could go back to past wars and rescue soldiers about to die instead of taking random people with no military training and throwing them into a war zone.

The time tunnel is a "fixed bridge" 10 years in length. This bridge moves forward in time day by day so they cannot pick a specific time to go to. The movie explains this in detail.

This also reduces the number of people who could credibly fight when the monsters turn up. This really is the stupidest plot.

Instead of sending millions of men to die uslessly in the future, they could have used those men to make huge defences and weapons designed to beat off the invasion in the present. If not track down the alien ship.

Right? It feels like all of those lives sent to the future would be better spent preparing in the past.

It was unrealistic in the 80s but Hollywood likes cutsey scenes like this. You'd have to go back to the 50s to see lots of people on the street when women would be talking to their neighbours as phones weren't common, men would be mowing grass, fixing up cars and kids would be outside due to lack of tv.

lmao no its not. Thats my neighborhood in the summer when it gets nice. People jogging, walking, people out in their front lawns mowing, and enjoying the sun. Last week when it was the first day of 80 degree weather, I couldn't drive down a street without seeing people outside.

because hollywood this decade is full of sad endings or shock value endings just to rile up people to feel emotional in order to make movie plot feel "deep" but its just a cheap sense of arrogance when people just want feel good endings and feel good plots that are relatable and enjoyable, not to see an "art"

It's build before 2048 and also it will have a long service time. If you look at F-16, it's 50 years old and still gets used. Same with F-15 and F-14. So it most likely is an upgraded version of the F-22. My issue is, why does it drop bombs? It's an air vs air fighter, not multi role. They also don't need stealth, so they could use faster, cheaper planes. They could and should have used F-16, F-18 or F-35 or another later multi role fighter, not a hyper expensive fighter, that is made for air combat, and that's expensive to operate and hard to maintain
