Subtle details playlist: • Subtle details in Miit... I can finally put this to rest! Mind you, I have been working on this for a year. Thanks for everyone's input! #Miitopia #Miis
When you activate the Warrior's "Proud Protector" and a Mii they're upset with is about to get hit, they don't even bother trying to protect them, they just stand there. Funny, considering my full team includes a Tank that constantly makes everyone mad.
I didn't even think about clerics and princesses actually having legs under their outfits 😂 silly me. I also love how Laid-Back floats by the fire pit when lying down
My personal favorate tiny detail in this game is that if your character is a popstar and it moves first in a battle, trying to use encore wont work with the game saying "no prefrormance to encore"
To think this all started for me because I wanted to see what all jobs' horse whispering will be like, and now I'm following the comic, learning Miitopian, and how everyone interacts with each other depending on personality.
A funny little quirk, if your controller disconnects while a mii is speaking, you can hear all of the talking sounds until the controllers are connected.
I've had that happen to me before. When it happened, I was so confused as to why one of my miis was still talking after my controller disconnected. After I reconnected it, my mii stopped talking. The funny thing is, I found this out by accident when the batteries in my controller died. I still find it funny when it happened.
That One Mii who was speaking: "Hey, that cloud looks like slime jelly!yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy"
For the tomato thing, if you get a travelers hub quest and the boss is tomatoes, it won’t be the same as the first time you fought the tomato bros (great work btw I admire your work)
In the spanish version, when spitted out of an hamburguer, air-headed miis say "Does anybody have soap?" And some other personalities I can't remember say "I don't want to talk about this ever again" or "It has been traumatizing". I like these quotes. The ones on your video's version of the game are a little bit too basic. Great video btw.
Oh! Yes I heard the Spanish dialogue even adds more to the Miitopia lore, like the Great Sage going on a vacation after the battle with Cerberus. This is from someone who has the game in Spanish. It definitely adds more spice to the flavor text in the game.
Also, miis in the Spanish version are way more rude or sarcastic, for example, the merchant of Greenhorne says at the start of the game that you're going to have a special price that consists on you paying double for everything (because it's something exclusive the hero smiles because this was not intended) The dragon (forgot his name) says that even though the party looks delicious he's not going to eat them So yeah, Spanish version is savage
12:16 i've actually had a mii in the 3rd position who hated the tomato juice but everyone else liked it, really great video though i didn't notice most of this
I really hope that there will be a Tomodachi Life game on the Switch. Like Miitopia, Tomodachi Life has lots of dialogue and actions based on the miis personalities. I’m pretty sure the easygoing miis walk slower than other personalities.
They also have different animation per personality when a Mii says yes to their marriage proposal, I think--Tomodachi Life is full of details, more than Miitopia even.
Localisation difference with the Charity ability: Instead of Cautious saying “You’re gonna need this” or something like that in the US version, it instead says “You’re lucky I kept some.” In the UK/European version!
I think all of the little details in miitopia really add to the game, even if they're sort of hard to notice, it really gives the miis more personality!
7:28 Yes, i’ve seen this animation before. It is the Laid-back animation, that occurs whenever you pick up your Mii to move it somewhere else. (Ex. New room in the Inn, and the Safe Spot.) I’ve had Laid-back Miis in the past, so i know this very well. ^^
11 month after this video but, when you help any other job they will be like "Can i help?" And if you help the princess, your helping mii's will be like : " Could i lend a hand ? Do i have the permission ?"
God dang it, I love all the little things they put into this game, like all the personality based stuff and even the minor stuff with the cat gloves. I think that's all really cool honestly. Thank you for compiling these yet again!
When listening to them back-to-back, I just realized that 14:27 and 14:48 sound similar! I think it's the Dark Lord's Castle and Lotus Lake in Realm of the Fey :0
Hey Caross! Not sure if you're gonna read this, but I'd like to point out that the Chef's dagger (a weapon for the thief job) also changes its color depending on the color of the outfit that the Mii's wearing
I genuinely did not know about the bits with the quarrels affecting certain cutscenes, and I played this game for years, those were interesting to learn! I would like to add a couple things regarding the Stubborn personality's "Again" quirk since it doesn't activate often, though only for the Tank and Pop Star. Tank: -When using the regular attack, if the quirk activates after the Tank gets an assist from a teammate, instead of firing from their turret again, they swing their weapon to attack the enemy. -If the quirk activates after using Human Cannonball, they will fire the same teammate again, and their expression is slightly different than it normally is, which remain that way even after firing their teammate again. Oddly, but luckily, this doesn't double up the resentment counter. Pop Star: -This is kinda a funny one. If the quirk activates after the Pop Star uses Way Out of Tune (and I'm assuming the regular Out of Tune), the teammates in the back are not happy, and have faces that read, "Oh no, not again." One thing I really curious about is what would the text say if the quirk activates after the Pop Star uses Cheer On, maybe something about the teammates partying harder? None of my Mii get low enough MP for me to find out myself. I have clips of these happenings mentioned above posted on my Twitter (which I'll only link to clips in question if you're okay with it as I don't want to just shamelessly plug something of mine on your video).
Oh that! I do notice! It's the same animation the Noble Son does when he faints, well since the last Mii standing has the most dramatic way to fall, indicating it's the last turn before losing. This is how you'll know if one of the Miis decide to use Resurgence.
Theirs actually quite a lot of differences between each versions of Tomodachi Life, EU and American I know has quite a few. Photo Studio has some different backdrops for a start.
@@EverythingIDM There is also an exclusive change only to the EU version when playing the 3DS and Switch version: the Princess' dialogue when they use Blindfold.
I don’t know if you have already covered this, but similar to the Princess dialogue change with the ‘again’ teatime, there’s a similar dialogue change with the Imp’s Butt Jab. The first time, the target Mii will simply say ‘You!’, the second time they will say ‘You again!’
Ahhh this one! Well, the 'Again' skill has always been tricky to get footage of, especially since it only has 3% chance of happening. But that's a really cool detail, thanks!
@@farbencut Ah cool, yeah I have played long too, since the international release in 2017, but some things never happened to me on my 3DS save, like the Shan't quirk of the Cool Mii for example. Some I'm only experiencing now with the Switch version, and they're really neat features.
@@Carossmo I also never had Shan't. I did not play for as long as you, I got the 3ds Version 3 Months before the switch version was revealed. However I've played ever since.
I don't know If this counts as a Subtle detail but, The only monsters/enemies in the game that talk are The three versions of The Dark Lord, General Princess, and the Teammate Imps from The Dark Lord battle.
2:24 wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa waaaaaaa.... we we we we we we we we weeeeeeee....... this was so interesting! but also a little jarring since I use the UK version of miitopia, and the dialogue is COMPLETELY different. the differences are still there, but the lines are all altered slightly haha. I think the one I'm noticing most is the cool personality because my player character is cool
Unsure if this is covered yet, but if a robot or ancient robot targets two miis and you put one in the safe spot & After it fires at the targets, the mii in the safe spot has dialogue. Im not sure if the dialogue will change based on personality but the Energetic mii i had said something along the lines of "that was scary" and does its little animation dance. Haven't tried it with any other mii personalities yet unfortunately
Idk if this was done already but the are small details in the background of the inns when in a cutscene depending on what area your inn is located. It’s a very minuscule detail but it definitely gives life to the inn.
Have you ever considered doing mono job play thoughs I think it would be interesting to see something like that maybe put them in a 5 part ter list that goes something like this Greenhorn Neskdoor Relm Of Fay predarklord Predarkistlord For the job that are unlocked we could rank them NA so the cat would be rated NA in the greenhorn part of the ter list
y'know, i noticed how the voices for each mii is different, each mii's voice sounds unique to itself, whenever they talk or do anything else. I wonder how the voice is determined in-game?
please elaborate the unique voices are the main cast: Dark Lord, Great Sage, King, Princess, Noble Son, Prince, Genie, The 3 Fairies and Mii voices are determined by the personalities, which are covered in the previous installment of this subtle details series
@@Carossmo right, sorry. i noticed there is variation in voices between each of the miis that join your party(not the ones that temporarily join for quests). some have a higher pitched voice while others have lower. They don't seem to always be the same based on when they join the gang, but i guess basing on personality, at least to me, is the expected yet disappointing answer. still, thanks
@@FroggBoy1Actually the pitches are based on gender as well. Higher pitches for females. The previous video of this series has the clips for comparison.
no idea if you’ve mentioned it or not but i think getting healed or damaged from the three brother’s tomato status effect in the forest is determined by whether or not your mii actually likes tomatoes
Not sure if I commented this before, or you saw it already, but when a Mii is sick, they will think their war cry instead of saying it, if you look at the speech bubble.
I think you forgot that the dialog for angry/crying Miis is dependent on the personality of the Mii after exiting sprinkles, safe spots or enemy status.
Something I recently noticed is during the dark Lord fight when he steals your party members faces Occasionally they won’t hit us hard against the minions with their friends faces And I’m wondering if this is more common with high relationships Or they might even hit harder if they’re quarrel Ing
There is something that I need to point out with the Tomatoes. I faced a Tomato enemy (Not the Tomato Bros). The positioning didn’t work, ironically. Out of my team, only my character liked liked the Tomato Juice. I have a feeling it is related to the position on the team they are, maybe?
Not really the Hero's personality. It depends on who your Miis are in the Inn, demonstrated in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-op-W3jBk1lQ.html
@@ataman25k34 Yeah I think I covered most details on the channel now. But if you has any questions or found more things I didn't know, please feel free to let me know.
I just found out that the 3rd time you defeat the darker lord and finish the game your team are in different positions like at the end when they get their picture taken the team is in the order you choose when defeating the left, right hand and the darkest lord all except the protagonist has anyone else noticed this on switch?
The dialouges in the miitopia EU english release is very different from the American version. idk how to describe it just sounds more "british" i guess lol
I need to know After defeating the Darkest Lord, a Villa is unlocked, and 5 of your teammates stay in the Villa, while the other 4 with the Hero stay at the Inn. What are the chances of what who goes to the Villa and who stays at the Inn?
