Like many other trans pennine routes, this would have been very useful if it were still retained in the 21st century, even if singled as a bi-directional line. Nice video footage, thanks for posting.🙂👍
No, it wouldn't. There were too few passengers for this line to have been closed by Beeching and looking at the maps the situation hasn't changed that much. The line only went as far as Garsdale.
@@neiloflongbeck5705 I know it Neil, but I do think a cross pennine link would be useful, regardless of passenger use, but it's not going to happen as we all know. What was ground breaking 150 years ago, is no longer the case sadly.
@@mervynsands3501 well there are the ones from Leeds and Sheffield and the one from Newcastle. The other 2 served the back waters that buses served better.
