WOW now that nails it down big time ! I had to scan the net for literally days, trying to find someone who knew WTH is going on with these TCC stuck on/hard shifting issues w/4t65e transmissions. almost no one on the message boards knows how to diagnose this right !! most of them try transmission flush, or change ALL the shift/pressure/tcc solenoids- without really know which one it was. or, they REBUILD THE ENTIRE TRANSMISSION for $2000, when in reality it may be a 10 cent wire or connector. or only ONE pressure switch. thanks a lot for this info, great video.

Hi Gerald, I have an 2006 pontiac grand prix with P0742 code, and i did procedure number one, and when I reconnected the connector of the transmission and measured the voltage without turning on the car it continued to have voltage. In that case what is wrong? Because in the video when connecting again the connector of the transmission has no voltage until the car is turned on

What book can i find this in? I have a Haynes book for my 2003 Grand prix but cannot find this information. i just had my transmission flushed. i later had to replace the pan and gasket and filter due to it leaking. then after 3000miles. the care coded P0742 TCC stuck on. Should i get flushed again or take it to a transmission place? The car shakes drastically after a 5 mile run now.
