Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson 1/3/2005 Guests: David Duchovny, Nicole Sullivan The first Late Late Show after Craig was selected for the job! It's amazing how far the show has come.
As a sufferer of chronic depression let me tell you: This show is life-saving medicine. To the person behind this channel: you are a humanitarian. Thank you for your kind work.
This is exactly why I always come back to this videos. I mean Craig is hilarious and a genius, watching him at night when i had a fucked up sleeping schedule was the highlight of my day and got me through a weird gloomy wave i was driving. This show feels like home 💜
This man STARTED his tenure on TLLS as a legend. Other late night hosts were rattled and fidgety for years when they first got their desks, but this man was just crushing out the gate. Good lord, what a role model for budding performers.
I never get tired of watching Craig. I have him on tape and watch those old shows from 2005 and 2006 once or twice a year. I hope those old shows show up here on RU-vid soon. Please, Chris Bryson - keep these videos up indefinitely. I'm a little worried because when I started watching them, there were 331. Now there's 296. Fans of Craig - watch him in the morning on Celebrity Name Game. His unique style and humor come through, even on that show.
I"m so thankful that someone else was able to upload Craig's monologues, puppets singing and full shows. My son threw away a lot of things when he moved me to a new apartment. Many of Craig's tapes disappeared. I was devastated!! But now I can watch him easily here. I have 5 tabs open of his shows at all times.
I only started watching him a few months ago. Never realised how funny he is. And brilliant with his guests. I am now hooked and watch him every chance i get now on here.
Well he quit the show December 2014 after doing it for 10 years. It's very sad since when it was Craig, it was the only unscripted, true comedy talk show. He spoke his mind and whatever the hell he wanted to. He was just generally funny and loved to get the audience and his camera crew involved.
I can imagine the intro of the interview "Welcome to the show Tom! Are your feet touching the floor? You know, we've always had a stool in case you were on the show"
You can tell this is more scripted than later shows, but most of the funny bits are the improvised pieces. They did right to just let him do his stuff.
What happened to the group of over 90 monologues of Craig's from 2005 to 2007. Those were the best! I wish someone would upload them again. As said earlier, those monologues and even some of the later ones were such a wonderful remedy for depression. I watched them at least 10 times each in the past.
What are the chances I could get my hands on them to share with everyone here? Email me at llswcfarchive (at) gmail.com if you’d love to donate copies and make a lot of people really, really happy.
David hosted the show a few times himself and therefore was one of the few people linked to the program they could call. Pretty sure he wouldn't have had his leading role in Californication if he was chosen to do the show though.
Bloody hell. Most hosts you see a definite change from their first show to last. But Craig Ferguson was so consistently bonkers. It's refreshing to see someone basically being their true self. I really wish this was broadcast more in the UK when it was airing
The Late Late Show for me, started on January 3, 2005 and ended on December 19, 2014. I don't care about Craig Kilborn and James Corden, they're both fucking fake! Craig Ferguson is the man who brought an amusing show to life and he could have been the host for 30 more years, and you know why? Because he was his real self every night, he would make jokes , he would talk about his thoughts and opinions when he was concerned, he would also talk about his life, the alcoholism, the relationship with his parents and their passing just because he wanted to be Craig Ferguson and not pretend to be someone else, to be honest with the people who are watching him. Nobody can disagree that he is, because he still is for me an outstanding host, a talented and kind man who created a new "piece of art"in the Late Night Television. I hope you come back one day.
I started watching The Late Late Show with Tom Snyder (the original host) Craig Kilborn was okay. Craig Ferguson era was the best and James Corden is pretty good, he's starting to catch his stride.
I agree with you Craig Ferguson is the best, and not even on that list of late night show hosts he likes to put himself in, and why should he? He was never one! He created something different and unique! And so he will be the best and no one will get to his feet, because it was something that he created, that is about him, is full of his personality and brilliance and so individual. So I like late night host, and I do not put craig on that list. For he was totally far from it, as he himself said. He is the best
But not so much about the funny sidekick character (which turned out to be a great thing). Not sure about late night games; I guess that depends on whether the "Iceland is in the North Atlantic" quiz gag - which he did with guests for money and with audience members for restaurant dinners - counts.
@@TotallyOKAYProductions Also Craig had hosted several episodes already. Kilborn quit unexpectedly and for months multiple guest hosts filled in until CBS found a replacement. Ferguson and a few others hosted for an entire week, each, to audition. Craig Ferguson was chosen because of this and Peter Lassally's recommendation.
I knew Conan was going to be just fine the second night. After the incredible build-up to and the highly watched premiere, he walked out beginning of the second show and said "Nobody told me I had to do this again...." Just killed me.
I wish i could have watched tbis as it aired, would have loved to see the progression from normal-ish talk show to the bonkers amazing show it was at the end
When the show was on the air I was working the corporate life up 6am to bed at 10pm, not a clue about this show. Now retired I happen upon Craig Fergusson two years ago by youtube. WOW, I love the show, and view clips daily.
I absolutely love Craig Ferguson!!! I only caught the show in its last season how excited I am think to get to watch it from the beginning!!! I thought I was trippin when I turned out the channel and saw him a robot and a horse!!! I thought what kind of freaking weird ass show is this and then I fell in love!!!
Allan Mccann Alright, first it's Geoff, not Jeff. Secondly why are you disagreeing with me while agreeing with me? What are you even talking about? Josh did voice a few things on the show, but primarily voiced Geoff, as the side kick. And Josh didn't even get a full time job on that show until 2012. Before then Geoff was voiced by a random crew-member who pre-recorded his lines. Josh and Craig didn't know each other personally until Josh got the job. And thanks for letting me know "Josh does all the voices hes a big part." Really helpful information that nobody knew before you said it. How does that even relate to my original comment?
WOW! He is truly one gorgeous looking man! We women need more men like Craig, handsome, funny and so humble... Your welcome Mr. Ferguson and we should be thanking you. Such a perfect specimen of a man, beautifully crafted, designed and created.💕
since you haven't answered this, I guess you don't have a Craig collection. I lost mine when I moved. Would pay big money for tapes of his earliest monologues (2004 to 2007.
I sincerely hope you're able to get the rest of 2005 uploaded. Went to Television City to see a few tapings that year, and there was one monologue in particular that just about had me falling out of my chair there. I hope the words "Carjackers of the San Fernando Valley" ring a bell...
Thank you so much for uploading these...I'm a huge fan, but I never really got to watch as much as I would have liked. I really miss seeing Craig every night. It's a great feeling to be able to see these.
I remember seeing him as Mr. Wick on Drew Carey for years before he started the Late Late Show and the first few times I watched him on this being shocked by his Scottish accent…I honestly though he was British he did the Mr. Wick character’s accent so well.
The playlist for this is a sad reminder that the old jokes about "Once something is on the internet, it's there forever" aren't true. I own a number of physical copies of things that you simply can't find online. Except maybe ebay here and there if you're lucky. Digital preservation, my ass... (I of course really appreciate anyone who tries!)
I love how different Craig's start on Late Late Show was so different to Conan O'Brien starting out on Late Night in 1993. Craig had a "I couldn't care less" attitude. Letterman must have been happy having Craig follow him. Conan in 1993 looked so out of his depth.
I love how he formed the show even from his first day putting up with the chair joke.. copping the birds comments on the chin then Craig puts his foot down and made it clear that it's not coming back RESPECT to David having his back like a true pal! I think after Craig thanked him, you could tell by David's face thinking like: whoever the idiot was that pulled that kinda bs I hope you get fired.
