Kristen Stewart was supposed to be the star guest, but Sloane Crosley was THE guest for the night. Craig even went overtime with his interview. Perhaps the great contrast in the conversations really made Sloane stand out more
What would we do without you OP. I'm not here to download this episode and use it, I'm just here to watch. Amazing quality. Thanks a bunch for making this accessible.
@@paoloernesto2591 I dont know man... He tried everything. He made jokes, he told stories, he asked open questions and she just didn't go for it. She just was monossilabic and just never elaborate anything. Had he not literally kept talking to a wall for 10 minutes this would probably be a 2 minute interview that would have ended in an awkward pause followed by a comercial.
Craig Ferguson brought toys and horses and Geoff before any of the current crop of late night hosts delved in fantasy. Miss his unique take on life and, of course, his comedic genius. “It was a great day in America!”
27:40 “Awkward pause. You want to start?” Hahaha Stewart’s thinking, “This will be easy. The awkward pause started when the interview began.” Craig is the man!
Kristen has social anxiety disorder. It's a condition which makes her very anxious when interacting with large crowds etc. I actually think she's very brave for doing interviews like this even though she finds it difficult and they make her very nervous and people should be more accepting of the fact that not everyone is brilliant at interviews. In the same way I would say kudos to someone with aspergers etc for doing something out of their comfort zone.
Yeah I don't see a problem with this interview. It's clearly not her natural habitat and Craig just tried to comfort her as much as possible. It might not be too interesting for some, but I think it's an intriguing conversation in how hard it must've been to both to create some dynamic. It was indeed brave from Kristen to do this...
alice johnson In life everybody has social anxiety disorder and they get through it by socializing. She’s just awkward and she put herself in an awkward spot when she said "that tells a lot about you" and then Craig saved her by taking the joke on himself
@@mrcookie97 You're wrong buddy. A "disorder" is not something everybody has. When you have something like an anxiety disorder, you may feel palpitations, shaking, dizzyness, have a hard time breathing, and so many more symptoms. It's not just "omg, I'm in front of a crowd, I'm so nervous!", it's more like "I can't stand feeling like this anymore, I need to get out of here now".
I used to hate Kristen Stewart because Twilight and thought she was weird, but the more I've seen her interviewed I love that she's super awkward. She interviews best with hosts who are crazy and can play off of her.
All she did in that movie was bite her lip. Terrible actress. To add insult to injury, she then decided to cheat on Patterson with a director. She's all-around awful.
How can anyone watch Kristen Stewart... she has the charisma of a Dried piece of driftwood. Craig had to carry this inteview HARD! The contrast between Kristen and Sloane is remarkable... Sloane is so much fun.
I mean some people find her awkwardness adorable. I personally can relate to her with having extreme anxiety. I usually dont judge a persons charisma when they have social disorder. I know you probably woildnt understand having extreme anxiety which each their own. I know I probably have no charisma either when talking to public but to my close friends I have good amount personality. Now did that answer your question.
The audience going crazy for her and she doesn't even look at them... Good Lord. She is unbearable and I don't know what is wrong with people who like her and her weird shyness. She doesn't look shy to me. She looks like an entitled prick. Full stop. Other shy people don't act like that. She just doesn't want to be there and doesn't care to show it. She's so annoying and not a good actor at all. People are so gullible when they see a beautiful face and a very skinny body...
she's beautiful drop dead gorgeous woman and more but society got a hold of her and told her to look a certain way to appeal to a certain group of people...... beautiful ass and gorgeous legs......
She seems so shy, at least it makes a contrast with all the shallow chicks that Scott has invited...She is good in author movies, Excellent in Personal Shopper. A European film but English spoken, don’t worry 😏
Sloane Crosley is amazing! So smart and funny and an amazing writer. Soooo glad she came on after that so awkward Stewart's interview. I am her generation and I get all the references from Anne Rice to the drug addict's pinky.
I think Kristen did a pretty good job in this interview. How old was she, like twenty one? Especially after all the shit she got from Craig about Twilight, still she came on the show and gave it her best shot. Man, that takes guts. I’d like to see you in an unscripted interview on national television - especially at that age. Yeah, you think that would be easy? I think not. This was bold under awkward circumstances and she did it with grace I think. I’m a fan and think she has a long and distinguished career ahead of her, even after so many blockbusters already. I can’t imagine that kind of pressure. It’s so easy to cut celebrities down and people are just crass and rude to make themselves feel better about their own sad lives. Take a good look at yourself before you criticize others. RU-vid comments make me sick. It just makes you look pathetic instead of superior. If you don’t have anything supportive and constructive to say, shut the hell up and spread your negativity among what few idiotic friends you have self righteous bastard.
Is that a giant book in the background? Among the buildings, about in the middle between Kristen's and Craig's head, it looks like its cover has a car.
I read it when i was in high school also , then a couple years later saw the movie (which everyone loves ) and i could barely finish it it was so bad lol i had to fight the urge to shut it off damn near the whole film ....i know its a cliche but it really does not do the book justice at all
@@Quack_attack_ did you see the one with Bill Murray or the one with Johnny Depp? I think Bill Murray did a better job, but the movie still sucked. Sometimes I get to see a movie before I read the book. Like The Perfect Storm. It's always better that way, cuz then when you're reading the book you have images from the movie you can work from.
Yeah but that yellow stripe down the back of her skirt and hes got a yellow tie and........... he got her to smile a lot let's just go with that!😳 P.S. THAT IS THE HOTTEST AUTHOR I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!!!!💃😳
she was 22 at the time... and he looks way much older than her and i'm sure she found that kind of awkward. She wasn't buying his whole flirtation thing.....
@@gaia7240an episode he had a guest that didn't show up. So he said this is how I talk with guests who are the most difficult to interview and started with "I really enjoyed those vampire movies" . I forget the episode but you'll find it .
I watched about 30 minutes of twilight... dam my higher intellect,. I had to turn it off and get on with my life, I'm with Craig on this one. Craig's done some awesome interviews,..but, with Kristen, this isn't one of them. ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzz (of coarse she would prefer an 'awkward pause') If you've just clicked on this upload, skip to 38:33 for the only good part of this episode.
If I'm a producer of any talk show, I stay as far away from Kristen Steward as possible. It's not worth the headache. She may be a great person but in that type of environment, the girl is obviously uncomfortable with little to say. Craig tried mightily to make it interesting but you're hitting a brick wall with Kristen.
"Everybody loves Twilight" No, Kirsten....no they most certainly do not. Sloane said it perfectly, Twilight makes the Vampire Chronicles read like Dickens
@@DarkWandererAU It's a simple inference. She had a self-depreciating tone throughout the interview. Later into the interview she basically said she knows that there's a significant number of people who hates the twilight franchise, and it's okay that they do.
