I own 2 GS models. A 2003 GS300 I just purchased for 1700. Needs air out of the coolant or new thermostat (lower hose stays cold) and the timing needs to be done. 201K miles with a cracked windshield new brakes and new battery. It’s completely stock not even a tint I bought it from some parents. But you got a decent price for the labor already both of mine weren’t taking care of as well as yours I’m sure. My 1998 GS400 was 2800 with timing done, Megan racing coilovers to the floor, angle kit, ESR rims with thick meaty tires, welded diff, dual caliper handbrake, extra open diff and an extra axle. 224K miles and it runs mean. Both are amazing cars but I prefer the 300 for commuting and my 400 for swinging and showing off (muffler delete)
I have a 2004 gs300 (156k miles) it recently broke down the shop said it needed a fuel pump after replacing it everything was good for one day when it broke down once again it went through 3 fuel pumps and then the shop said it needed and ecu and after that it ran for 4 days and died once again and now the shop is unable to do anything so they sent it to another shop and that guy is on vacation so the car is just sitting there right now does anyone have any clue on what the issue might be?
