I got a 97 Lexus LS400 recently. One of my dream cars. Wanted to do a slammed VIP bippu forever, got the thing and I cannot reduce its reliability. It's a tank. It fits my kids. It will outlast my wife's 23 Camry. I appreciate these builds from afar now. Well done
@@hypster814 I appreciate that very much. Honestly the Lexus LS400 Universally is one of the greater most simplistic automobiles ever created. They just work, and that’s the best part. That 1UZ-FE motor is literally 1 million miles capable
Nice ride bro. I have a 2002 GS , bought it brand new 22 years ago . Same color as yours. Got it fixed up the next day I bought it. Tein Super Street dampers dropped 2 inches , Firs run MRR staggered 19 " wheels and Magna flow catback . All 22 years old . This car is a beast. Nice work on your build.
@@dennisdiamse4506 classic man so classic, I wish i could see how it looked cause I know at that time this car even now still is clean. Thank you for the compliment just getting through the rough parts with it but I plan to do as much as I can and keep this car forever
@@FIREMANDRE29 ay I remember you too, a long time ago I’d say back in 2022 summer I saw you when your car was white at the time I couldn’t stop staring 😮💨
If your Tein's can only be height adjusted they are Street Basis Z, If they are height and dampening adjustable they are Advanced Z street. SBZ 8kfr 6kr, AZ 10kfr 8kr. Flex Z 12k fr 10kr are the middle class, they are fully adjustable true coilovers not using any parts of the oem shock body, with a more aggressive damping for street or track. They have more options for the GS but these are the normal ones.
She’s clean man 🔥 I got some ls400 calipers on eBay real cheap and rebuilt them myself oem bbk is the way to go just make sure your wheel can clear em lol
Just wait til you go turbo/engine build. Big money. I spent 2k just for a turbo, intercooler, turbo manifold. No piping. Ill probably 20k all in when its done
That’s the plan and I know it’s gonna be expensive to boost, but I’m either thinking about building the motor and eventually doing a trans swap or just for now just go na-t
I've had two different alignment shops tell me my GS300 rear was seized. So I took it home and checked everything and nothing was seized. Finally the 3rd spot just did the alignment and didn't try to upsell me anything. So I am hesitant to just believe people
@@joshuagray3197 wow that’s some bs how they did that to you, maybe they just didn’t know what they were doing but it’s good to hear the rear wasn’t seized. That would be a whole different situation
Really awesome build. I would just like to point out, however, that a turbo kit from cx racing (equal length exhaust manifold included) is $2000, and he paid $1000 for some heatwrapped exhaust piping.
@@benedictgoodman3995 I remember some kits for these ge 2JZ’s use to be 800-1500 max a few years ago but 2000$ is still not too bad, but that’s just the iceberg of now much money will go into this car
i have the same silver 2000 model with same headlights vertex edition kit and black wood sport design interior with blackwood steering bc racing coils engine is stock as its a daily best car ever had sooon changing injers coils plugs
Don't never ever ever never ever put a 2nd Gen GS300 in the class of a Camry 😡 That's so disrespectful calling a car with the almighty 2jz a "rear wheel drive camry". Kids I tell you lol.
Obviously we all know it’s not a Camry or Avalon it’s just a light joke. Plus it’s just a N/A 2JZ Besides this is my favorite car of all time I can’t make jokes about my own car now cmon B get more humble we know this car is special
@@JSteezy3 And I know you love the car, hence the "lol" and me even commenting on videos, because I respect your love for your first car, and you made a great decision.

Yes, erase your codes with scanner, or disconnect battery for 10 seconds, then see which code comes up first. Then go after that code/codes first. Then see if anymore codes reoccur, one step at a time time.
@@Knownworldwide in the near future, I’m working on getting side skirts & fixing my bumper and other than maintenance that should be it for the GS for a while
@@drunkencreeper2915 I like the v8 but since I was a kid I wanted a 300 before I even knew it was an inline 6 na 2JZ, and even if it wasn’t a 2JZ I’ve just been attached to the name plate GS 300 but the 400 and 430’s are nice
mine has the same probelm, from the forums i can see that it could be a fuse, or if its lowered the abs wires have been damaged. im gonna look into fixing it later, its got bigger problems right now haha

Of course, but remember I didn’t know the aristo existed at 4 years old and I’ve always just wanted specifically the USDM GS, I did have my thing for a genuine GTE Aristo 5 years ago before you could import them
Your lucky my boss told me you know you have at least 200 thousand dollars in this car at 5 dollars an hour in labor I laughed and and Said I have 14 hours in taking the casting off and stage 1 ports still in California and what it street legal
