Dr Lim, thank you so much for this honest review. I’m wondering if you could possibly do a video on shaving - dry shaving seems to have taken off in the beauty community. Even Huda is touting it as a great way to remove facial hair and that it doesn’t change texture and colour of hair. The explanation bloggers are using is that it’s like microplaning. I’m very skeptical as I’ve seen women with stubble like “five o’clock shadow” and I believe shaving must be to blame. Can you please stop the madness? Thank you so much!
Investigate.. make sure you do not have PCOS etc.. if you do, refund on your cards for clinic missing your diagnosis. IMO if you do hair removal one needs to know EVERYTHING about hair and not just press the button, everything from endocrine disorders, PCOS, how to interpret results and USS , genetic disorders of hypertrichosis... its not good practice just pressing a button... nothing against laser clinics in Australia doing hair removal, but they need to know everything. I have fair skin and darkblonde hair. A doctor here claims that Vectus Palomar/vectus Cynosure diode (2014) is less painful compared to Lightsheer and Alex laser. It uses a cooled tip. The nm is 800. So, that should be okay then? Is her claim true (about the pain)? I'm asking here, because all doctors just usually talk good about their own products. Thanks in advance!

If it's effective, I'll put up with the pain, but not if I have to have 10 sessions... I have an olive skin tone, probably a Fitzpatrick 3-4, rarely burn, only if I spend a lot of time in the sun after prolonged avoidance

Do we need get full hair growth before laser hair removal? And after sessions is it advised to use razor if hair grows again as the follicle will come off? Heard some derm's. I know you mentioned it need some clarity.

I just met up with the boss from Israel on Thurday, I suspect its going to be a game changer in laser hair removal. The Pelo is horrible. Most painful laser and not ergonomic. Alma make excellent lasers and their 810 1064 will be fantastic. Video soon Davin Lim
Don't want to try... Cooling system is bad on this laser. Its like old fashioned IPL- if they had a better cooling system on this laser and a bigger scanner size it would be good.. but much better lasers out there. (Truth)
Is there ANYTHING to remove blonde/white hair? I have extreme facial hair from PCOS and it is so shaming. Because I shave it off, makeup doesn't look right on my face because of the hair/no hair split, so I can't even cover it up! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Hello Dr Davin Lim, I've watched a lot of your hair removal movies on RU-vid, but I still have some questions that you can hopefully answer. My skin type is I / II (light), hair thickness is normal and hair colour is blonde / dark blonde. In my country (the Netherlands) they mainly use Cynosure Elite MPX and / or ALMA Soprano ICE Platinum. Which device / method is the most effective for me and what should I be aware of when I undergo the treatment? I have heard that some hospitals / clinics / beauty salons are fiddling with the stands of the equipment, so I really want to know what to look out for. Thank you in advance for your effort!
