Gave a video like. Awesome return! The Gilliam cards look great. Love the Pete Rose, I'm with you though. Puzzled why they choose that larger of a holder.
Great showcase. The 1958 Gilliam is on of my favorites of him. Such a great card. Still need to pick up the ‘54 and that’s a nice looking example. Good stuff!
Wow, great cards Steve congrats! It seemed maybe they were a little tougher on the grades this time, and then you dropped the 8.5 and the 6 on the Rose Super! Love the Spahn Red Man as well. Great cards! Thanks for the shout-out.
Hi Steve, thanks for sharing another fun reveal. I am always interested in seeing what you decide to grade, what you think you'll get and how it turns out. As always, you're usually pretty close with a surprise here and there. SGC needs to come up with a better slab for the Pete Rose Super. I don't know how they can think that is the appropriate holder to put those in. The Topps Giant Vada is in a smaller one. Lol. Regardless that is a wonderful photo of a young Pete in the on-deck circle. There is something about those bright white uniforms with the red helmets that stand out. I really like how the Maris looks in a slab. I love the way you go about collecting. Take care
@@tjmacvintagecardsnostalgia648 Thanks Terry, yeah not sure what SGC is thinking with that slab. Overall I was happy with the return. I am actually responding from Italy, I posted the video before we left for the airport.
Hi Steve! That Rose holder is insanely big, haha. Almost looks like you have it framed instead of graded. Sorry about the Drysdale grades. I struggle with the lost cards as well when looking at them raw. That Pinson makes up for a lot of the lower grades though. Hope all is well, Steve!
Steve awesome video I seriously love your videos. I watched this one a while back and forgot to comment 😂😂😂. Man it was good to see that Gilliam card I know i had that one forever so like PSA i got stricter through the years 😂😅😅😅 sorry i missed that one but it looks so good and reminded me I need to hunt down a copy again. Ok now i get to enjoy the video you just released a minute ago 😜👊👊🤙🤙
Beautiful cards and sweet grades! Love the 64 Lou Brock! The 62 Post Maris is sweet in any grade! There is a black line that runs all the way around the edge of the borders, if you can’t see that line then it’s cut too short. Wow, there’s a lot of real estate on that Rose slab! The Pinson is just beautiful!
@@PickerJimS Thanks Jim! I thought the black line was there in the Maris, oh well still a sweet card not sure what to do with that Rose slab. Appreciate you watching, enjoy your weekend!
I love your consistent voice and pacing. Great cards. That holder would piss me off on the Rose! Sending some 36’ Wide Pens in. You pay for oversized, but that’s insane.
Some great cards Steve. Absolutely love the Drysdale, Killebrew and 64 Bob Gibson. Great Post Roger Maris. Jim Gilliam has some nice cards and his 54 Topps is one of my favorites. Nice Rose Super. Enjoyed.
Another awesome reveal, Steve! My favorite result to see, along with the 8.5 Pinson of course, was the '64 Gibson. I thought that was a great 6 from a championship year. A fantastic card! I actually think you may have been on the wrong end of a couple of "one-run decisions," so to speak. I thought at least one of the Drysdales would've come back a 5. I thought the '58 Gilliam had a shot at a 5. Even so, still solid grades and they look great. The Rose, though -- wow, that is a big slab!
@@jpcards Thanks John! I thought the same on the Drysdale cards. Overall I was pleased, the Rose slab is ridiculous. We should be back from Italy on the 27th, maybe we can shoot the Koufax Bargain Hunters episode shortly after that!
Good stuff as usual Steve! I was voting for the Killebrew and Gibson back when you were asking the viewers, they turned out well. Now I agree there is a resemblance to Mookie but I have to say, Junior Gilliam looks so much like Tyler the Creator it's almost uncanny.
All of your cards looked so nice, I thought they had just came off a printing a press. Why wouldn't they give the Maris a "hand cut" designation? All hand cut cards are trimmed I guess, but hand cut has a better ring to it.
Great job, Steve! Of course, the Vada and Pete were my favorites. I have no clue why they put the Rose in that huge holder. SGC needs to figure something out because that can’t be the first time they’ve graded a card from that set. Either way, I loved the video and all the cards. Take care, my friend!
Thanks Rob! I knew you would like the Rose and Pinson! Not sure what to do with the Rose,PSA puts them in smaller slabs, maybe I will reach out to SGC.
8.5 for the Pinson is really good. I have had a number of the 64 Topps giant cards graded lately, they all look great, but the best I got was a7.5 for Yaz.
@@bobwhite4671 thanks! Injustice picked up the Kaline, Marichal and Gibson 64 Giants in graded. I wanted the Yaz but lost the bid, thanks for watching, appreciate it!
@@vintageonvintage817 I put together a run on them I wanted all the HOF from that set, most ungraded came back 5-7 grades, the big ones were already graded, Koufax 7.5, Mays 6, Mantle5.5, Clemente6.5., love that set.
Steve- gotta say this may be my favorite grade reveal video of yours yet. All were sooo nice. Kinda tough on the, Drysdales. I turned in a ‘65 that came back a 4.5, which it probably is. Anyway. Love the ‘64 Gibby, the killer ‘65 Killebrew, and goodness the ‘64 Giant of my man Vada Pinson! 8.5 goodness there. Well done! Thanks for sharing! And gave the vid a like.
@@The_Cincinnati_Kid Thanks Topher! I knew you would appreciate the Pinson card! I remember you saying you went to Italy not long ago. I am actually responding while riding a train from Rome to Cinque Terre! Thanks for watching.
@@EverydayCardCollector-Jason Thanks Jason! The size of that Rose slab is ridiculous! You will get a kick out of this, I am replying from Italy. I posted the video in the morning before taking off in the afternoon. Landed in Rome and now on a train to Cinque Terra!
