Hi, Jen ,pauwi Po husband ko Hindi na na need mag buy ng travel insurance? Kasi return tickets, Vax Card , passport and E travel QR code Po nabanggit nyo...so no need na Ang travel insurance?
Hi Jennifer. You have helped me with everything. I got all the information as an unvaccinated tourist, I was able to get into the country, extend my visa, everything simplified thanks to you. Whereas other bloggers don't have the most recent updates, you also helped me find how to extend my visa online. God bless, thanks for everything.
Hello sir did you use Onwardticket or throwaway ticket? Did you landed in Cebu Airport? Did they check your tickets for return or onward tickets? Thanks in advanced
I've been to Philippines 6 times since March 2022, it's definitely getting back to normal now. The e-Travel is easy and providing you've been vaccinated no problem at all, however, I really think it's time to move on with the vaccine requirement as it does nothing to stop the spread of virus. Furthermore, my last dose was a booster prior to my arrival in March 2022, totally ineffective now, not that I want the Philippines to enforce more recent vaccines, on the contrary, scrap the requirement altogether and therefore the e-Travel. My recent trip earlier this month, sadly only for a week, was just great. The weather was cool in Manila with cool breezes and perfect evenings. Just wish more of you lovely Filipinos would drop the mask, you don't need it anymore, especially outside in the sunshine. When you take it off in a restaurant or bar, to eat and drink, that would be the time you are more at risk anyway. So good to see people enjoying life again.
Regarding wearing mask. My family that lives in Manila just told me that they dropped the mask mandate already. It's up to the citizens to wear mask or not. It's their choice.
@@bellastvpinaygardenerincal4418 Yes, but I was there last week and 95% are still wearing the mask even when outside. Go on the MRT/LRT and everyone MUST still wear and still no talking on the train!
Good information for tourists and travellers .the rest of the world has got on with their lives but a couple of countries seem to dragging this COVID stuff out for no good reason .they must still like the drama in their lives .
Was just there and had no problems at all to enter. Completed the etravel within minutes, was not asked about onward flight but was asked for vac certificate. Enjoyed the stay and only wished I had longer time.
As always good info, keeping us up to date, I have been sharing your videos, as there are still a lot of guys asking questions about the protocols on traveling to the Philippines
husband speaking i just returned on Feb. 18th from 3 months on Mactan Island - my wife and I have a home there. I was surprised at how cool it was this trip. Lots of rain, over cast days, only six or seven days that were very hot. The E-travel is so easy to fill out, BUT do not forget it.
Yep, don't get in a cab unless the driver turns on the meter, white cab is better then yellow, keep your bags in front of you as soon as you pick them up to watch for scammers inserting things (to get you busted) or theives stealing your stuff. God bless. Thanks Jennifer for all you do, I've made a dozen trips to the Philippines in the past 17 years, I have a wife and 3 children there, retiring next year to stay, 1 way ticket ! ❤❤❤❤
I am on a 6 month tourist visa extension and I managed to open a bank account with BDO last week (first bank I tried). Requirements they asked for... ACR Card, passport, Lease agreement, proof of income (e.g. pension). I downloaded 3 months bank statements from my foreign bank which show my pension payments. Also showed them my Philippine driving licence for good measure. A few questions like asking how long I intended to stay, did I plan to apply for a resident visa in the future, obviously give them the answers they want to hear. Branch is in SM Mall, Clark, Pampanga, there are 2 branches there, it was the newer one.
Hi Jennifer I am an avid subscriber to your travel updates. You are on point and always provide current information. Are there any news of doing away with the antigen tests for unvaccinated travelers coming in country?
Thank you Jennifer, me (German citizen) I’m flying this week to the Philippines, and I heard na Need ko daw ng visa. Now, calm na ako na di ko need ng extra visa. 😅 Thank you for always updating us ❤ God bless you
Thank you Jennifer. I recently renewed my initial visitor visa for another 29 days. I really hope that by the end of March they have implemented the ability to extend on line again. I am sure if that happens I will hear it first from you!
So good to see you back Jennifer and looking radiant . Re bank accounts . I opened a tourist account with HSBC that just linked to my UK account . You can only deposit foreign currency into your savings account and have it transferred into your Pesos current account . All very easy 😊. Great to see a big smile back on our screens and hope you feel rejuvenated ❤️
HI Jennifer. Thanks for all your information. My wife and I are travelling to the PH's on April 1, 2023; but purchased a one way ticket only. She is a duel citizen and I am legally married to her. There should be no problem with the airlines correct since we don't know when we are coming back.
Enjoy a lovely wonderful visit Bro Harry/Marylou this April 2023 onwards. GOD willing me and Mike's turn come June 30th our booked flight if you hope you both stay longer and perhaps meet up in Cebu or in Manila. Thank you, Ms Jennifer Terri, what a great service travel blog you are doing for all the travellers around the globe wanting to see the Philippines most especially to us your fellow PINOYS at Balikbayans wanting to just come home to stay awhile with family, loved ones and friends. We're missing so much our Beloved PINAS, since it's more FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES. Keep the way you are so charming, helpful and informative. Cheers!!MABUHAY!!🥰😄🤗🙏💕
Hi Jen. Just came recently from a vacation out of PH. Since I was triple vaccinated, then it wasn't a problem. I registered for e-travel two days before my flight & saved the QR code on my phone. It wasn't asked during airline check-in, but was checked upon arrival. The BOQ staff just scanned my QR code. I was among the first ppl to deplane, so it was easy at Immigration (no long lines at that time). E-gates weren't open but there were many IOs. I didn't have checked-in luggage, so I was out of the airport in ~12 minutes. Btw, have you considered personal color analysis? I think you can look into it since your job (as a RU-vidr) involves facing the camera. I think you're a "winter" - you have high contrast & cool undertone (it seems). I'm sorry to say that the mustard yellow (in one vid) didn't look good on you. The lemon yellow (in another vid) looked better, since lemon yellow is a cool version of yellow. Mustard yellow looks good on "autumns". (Just constructive criticism - of course you can wear whatever you want but some colors will look better on you than others). Search for winter or dark winter palette if you're interested. Look also into draping vids or seasonal color analysis - lots of vids on YT. Cheers!
Hello..Jennifer..Actually ..i am in cebu.i am unvaccinaded...i will like know if for travel between island in airplane..Do i need an antigen test.?? Later i pretend too.. go from cebu to Bangkok...they do not have direct flight and escale in manila and change terminal...Do i need an antigen test ??(to thailande do not need test)...Thank you sò much for your answer.
Thank you so much Jennifer for all your Great information , Last May when i visited Cebu , with out your Advice i would never have got there .. Maraming Salamat Mam
I extended today my visa in Immigration Office Lapu Lapu in the Gaisano Mactan Mall for one month. It went smooth, took 30 minutes and I only had to pay 2230 pesos
Not sure if it varies or not but Immigration at SBMA would not process my 29 day extension, they said no longer available there. Instead I had to use the immigration office on Gordon Ave in olongapo… it was fast and easy, but take the exact amount!! 3030php For travel from the airport… I found a taxi driver near the town where our house is. He charged 7000php; however, he drove 4-1/2 hours to pick me up and 4-1/2 hours to our home. Including fuel and tolls (also included skyway toll). I use to get this for 5k, but still… to be personally picked up with no wait, if hungry or need a bathroom break no problem, and it’s faster/comfortable. Customs just waived me through and didn’t even speak to me.
You did not mention that the temporary I card which is a requirement after 59 days, costs 50 us dollars. Annoying, as the card has no function except as a revenue raiser.
@@thomasdavid7981 hi. Yeah, I think so. As long as it has the generic name, purpose, etc. I haven't experienced it (don't take maintenence meds) but Jen mentioned it in her "customs" vid last month.
Hi Jen! just back from Philippines from a 6 weeks trip! Very smooth entering! Had The Stupid Rapid test on arrival costing 600 php (NAIA), but the negative Cert sent via Email said my Nationally is Flipino lol! Finally Easy extended visa Cost me 2030 php non express services also! thanks for your info///
Thanks Jennifer. Nice video :-) Do you have any information about domestic flights for unvaccinated people? Do you still need to do show vacc. status or PCR test?
I flew from Los Angeles USA to Manila and on to Cebu about ten days ago (Feb 2023) and Philippine airlines did not enforce a mask rule from LAX to Manila but they did from Manila to Cebu. I could not get a test within 24 hours of my flight because I spent the day before my flight flying to LA on a different airline and there was no testing available to LAX. It only took about 15 minutes and about 600 pesos to get the test at Manila airport. I must have been the only person on my flight who had neither a vax or a test because I didn't see anyone else getting the test. The airline and immigration both wanted to see my onward ticket. The corporate places like fast food and department stores are still forcing employees to wear masks but I don't see many people wearing them outside of work. Maybe ten percent at the most are wearing them.
Hello jen thank you so much for your vlog my husband is already here in Philippines and he is unvax successful enter at nai terminal 1 so smooth no ek ek god bless your channel
@@vanessacandelario1230 great ..my question is how to prove it upon arrival in philippines ? Should it be printed on a paper ? Or showing it by mobile is okay ? And what about domestic flight ? Is antigen test needed again ? Thank you
@Super Mario when you go to island or boracay no need to show it only arrival in Philippines once your in Philippines they don't need it anymore especially boracay goodluck
I'm arriving at MLA on 3/16 for a 2 wks. R & R. My US passport will expire this June of 2023. Will Phil. immigration allow me to enter the country? Thank you.
No, you should renew your passport before you travel. Your passport must have at least 6 months validity left on it. Your airline can/ will most likely refuse you boarding.
Sorry, another post and a serious change at NAIA T3 departures. When I departed last week, there was no baggage scan prior to entering the airport. As a business traveller that couldn't be bothered to queue, I used to pay the 'helpers' outside in the purple shirts for priority pass through the baggage scanners without queuing. Well, after finding my 'helper' and for the first time ever paying Php100 at a 'new' kiosk and received a receipt, we went straight through the doors and no 'extra' payment required! One scam over and a new beginning!
Fyi, the airlines check your onward ticket because they are required to by the immigration authorities of the Phillippines.. failing which, if the immigration checks on the pax and finds out he or she has no return ticket, the airlines gets fined! N pax may be refused entry....fact
Thans for the advice regarding pickup at airport Jennifer. It can be a worrisome time after a long flight. I am going to apply for a visa waiver now. I really appreciate your channel. God bless you.
I got continuous extensions during the COVID lockdown for 14 months. It could have also been due to the fact that I have a Filipina child. Returning in a few weeks for her birthday, really appreciate the update Jen; sounds like lots of things are being simplified. *Hoping* that in 4 years I can come over and retire. Was planning to buy a house in my daughter's name so that she has a good future. Don't know yet if this is possible though.
Should do a video with regiments for connecting. Like Tokyo Korea and thongs like that. If they require more than just what the Philippines is requiring.
Hi Ms. Teri am a fan and always watching you ... Ask ko lang ho Ang bagahe international to Domestic ano Ang Tama? Mag bayad pa ba Ako pareho b Ang weight limit?
Hey Jen, just subscribed.. found this video really helpful... Also would like to ask you if you have an idea what visa can my foreign fiance get to enter the Philippines? We have a son that he wants to visit. Do we have a family visa in the Philippines???? TIA
To be honest I just traveled to Manila from the USA on Korean Air. My luggage was just fine and not touched. It's just my opinion, but I think the thefts by baggage handlers or immigration people are just done to their own citizens and people who travel on PAL airlines. I've traveled to the Philippines 4 times from the USA from 2007 to 2023 and have never had a problem with my luggage. Just my opinion and expierence 👍
Had 2 theft instances last year, 6 trips. Flew SC to Manila/Cebu. They don't break locks, they shove something in the zipper and it "splits" the zipper open a bit. Then they unzip the bag to see what they want, and just zip it backwards to rezip the bag. RU-vid video shows how. ru-vid.com7wo8hGeMmfo NAIA T1 lost shoes and candy. Obviously opened and closed the locked bag and just "disappeared" them. NAIA T2 lost one of my 2 checked bags for over 2hrs (and it finally just "magically" appeared after everyone had left from my flight... I was still waiting at the carousel watching another bag just go by, every few minutes...) then, Like Magic, Poof. But luckily, nothing was missing. Just oddly unusual one bag just didn't "quite" make it for 2hrs...and showed no signs of anything being taken (yet). In Cebu at Christmas, it was (again!), shoes, candy, and small toys for family gifts. That trip had all kinds of issues, but on arrival, I was so tired after a 28hr became a 33 hr flight, I didn't notice the bottom of one bag had a small section of zipper, about 6" long, that was unzipped (behind the zipper pull) on the bottom/wheel area. Had 4 bags of Christmas candy, a pair of shoes (new) and a pack of socks (new) in that portion of the bag,... a wheeled duffel with a separated portion in the bottom. Upon inspection at the hotel (the next a.m), I found 2 bags of candy gone (1 of each kind), the new PAIR of shoes (amazing they crawled out in unison), and the NEW pack of socks (not the loose old socks stuffed IN the shoes). Lol. I have flown Delta/Korean, JAL, PAL, ANA. Flew 6x last year. Have 5 trips planned this year... I have made all my planned flights in the future through NAIA T-3, as the "issues" seem to be a terminal issue. Not an airline issue. My Fiance's family in Manila, have an extended family member involved with NAIA. He has repeatedly told me that T3 is the most honest of the terminals. I was initially skeptical, but after 6 trips, I understand fully. He also warned me about something else that held true. T4 domestic WILL find something to "disallow" and force you to abandon at the X-ray machine entering the airport, especially if you are a foreigner. I had a small power inverter, new, still in the box, no battery, that was "now allowed" per the Officers discretion. He went to the airline counter with the package literature, and the unit unboxed. Didn't say anything to the airline staff, just waved his hand and motioned me to stay where I was (still at the x ray machine). He returned and said "All the airlines say.... This isn't allowed!!!" I laughed and told him it was, but that I refuse to surrender it to him. I then loaded my luggage, took the inverter and its packaging outside, and gave the unit away to an old lady that was selling food. Got back in line, and the now super-mad Officer personally searched EVERY thing in my luggage. Carry-on, personal item, and both checked bags. EVERY SINGLE ITEM was removed. He was mad, because I didn't surrender the new inverter ($150) to the pile of "disallowed" items against the wall near the X ray machine. Lol.
Thank you Jennifer, please discuss about SSRV courtesy classic visa, for foreigners who wants stay permanently in the Philippines. WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS. Thank you
Miss Terri,,i applied for a 9 A visa..and as per the rules there is no need to book any flight ticket to applied for visa,,,kindly check your cource of your information po..
Hi Jen, uwi kami next month, my husband, me and my 4 years old daughter. The situation is that I am fully vaccinated but my husband is not. So paano yung daughter ko? I follow niya na ako o yung husband ko.
Hmm today I hear something new to me; is it true that the 30 days "Visa on arrival" starts counting the day AFTER you arrive. So if you arrive today, then tomorrow is day 1 ????
Say you are tested positive before boarding your flight in the country of origin, will you be allowed to fly? And what if you just recently recovered from covid, where will one get a certificate of recovery and will that be valid as entry requirement for exemption?
Hi Jennifer! Thank you for this important information and update. How about the outgoing foreigners who want to go back to their homeland? Is there any important information. Thanks a lot. God bless.
Jennifer, once again thank for all the information you provide, it is more than useful its essential. I'm wondering if I can get your interpretation of the following, I went to the local BI office to obtain extension of tourist visa whilst there I enquired about ECC as my wife and I plan to go to Australia in June, the official at the BI Office indicated that I need to obtain a SSRN (on my ACR). I went to the main BI Office today and was informed by a uniformed BI official that I don't need a SSRN due to the fact that I've always been on a tourist visa since being in the Philippines. With one Office saying one thing and another Office saying different, I'm slightly confused, have you run across this situation before?
Thanks Ms Jennifer for your updates which really helpful I just arrived to Philippines and what they asked at airport just etravel qr code and how many days you'll stay with nice smiling and welcoming, about opening bank account with tourist ACR I tried maybe all banks here but i couldn't so it's not enough to open bank account for tourist Thanks again Ms Jennifer for your hard job 👍🏻 it's appreciated 💐
Flew in and out of Manila 5x/Cebu 1x (6x total) last year. Just got back Jan 4. I have taken over 30 jumper flights since March of last year in the P.I....Manila, Kalibo, Malay (Boracay), Bacolad, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo Since about Sept, NO requirements for domestic flights, other than mask stuff. But last trip (Christmas), even those "masks" were not really being enforced in ANY of the airports... and the mask requirement was very "lax" on the flights. Also noted transit/Ceros buses aren't really doing masks much now. BUT all international flights require masks to and from the P.I. (or anywhere else, really, that you fly through). A piece of advice? If you have a choice ($$$ wise), choose Terminal 3 NAIA to enter. You will save at least 1, possibly 2hrs on arrival. Luggage is faster, never had anything stolen there (shoes and candy in NAIA 1... shoes, small Christmas toys, candy in Cebu), you won't have issues with an almost 2hr wait for luggage to be unloaded (NAIA 2), and the immigration lines are actually MOVE in NAIA T-3. T-3 has a "traffic" cop (as I call him LOL) that directs international passengers to stage up in the immigration Officers individual booth lines. Creating a MUCH more efficient way than ANY of the other terminals.
Hi! Thanks for your video! I’m planning to go back for visit Philippines from NZ, but I will stop in SG for 6 days… what country I’ll put under country of origin when I apply for e-travel
Anong klasing visa ang applying ko? Kasi ist time po akong uuwi ng Pinas I've been 16yrs.here in USA .then I'm planning to stay for 1mos.im not dual citizen .
Wala kang visa na apply bakit pinoy ka naman at philippine passport unlest na nag chance ka ng passport mo to american passport kana i think mag apply ka dahil dual yun..
Hi and thanks for the video. I have a question related to the visa-free 30 day entry. Upon exiting the country how long do I have to wait until I can enter Philippines again as the same visa-free tourist?
