I'm not sure if I'm missing them, but I've been looking at the buildings and have not seen any wheelchair ramp or access for people who are less able or not able to walk, except st the building for the government offices (Tax Office, PICA). In this era, every building that caters to the public should be designed and built with access for those with physical disabilities.

I watched you video from 2 years ago. It was amazing seeing them clear in the work site and demolishing the old Good Year factory. What a transformation from then to now.

When finished it will be a thing of beauty and will bring St Thomas up to par with other parishes Would be nice if they plan to put a small postal agency inside the urban center. And it won't hurt to also put a small police outpost. I still maintain that a business hotel is necessary. Thanks for the update.

My comment is that while it is great to see these things happen in Jamaica I also want to point out the fact that they haven’t been building those buildings with consideration for the disability community especially those two govt buildings like the one you show and was talking about how funny the steps look. I honestly thing they should have made one a ramp for people with disabilities who will need access to the govt facilities especially the govt building should be leading the charge is making stuff available and accessible for the disabled community in society because hey we all never know what can happen to us in life one day or one of our love ones so we need to get the attention and be more vocal about these stuff to the govt who built these and say hey so what happen to then disabled people then don’t they want to access these places also independently without asking for help to get lifted up stairs. Because here if America they make sure People with disability can get around freely and easily without having a problem. But I visit Jamaica and realize we don’t even have sidewalk to walk on much less push a wheelchair because when you even done a sidewalk you have a light pole in the middle of it with hardly space to walk. So I would serous advocate for them making especially the govt facilities in Jamaica accessible for people with disability and the old people because we all will be old one day and our parents too and our kids so e should fight to make sure when we leave this place they can have a much easier life than we did because we don’t know which one of our family members can develop or born with a disability that will make there life harder. And that includes making every single bus have whell chair accessible because it make no sense having just a few accessible because what if the last bus for the night arrive and it just happen to not be wheelchair accessible or it’s raining why should someone with a disability wait longer for a public transport because of their disability. When us with out two strong working feel who have an advantage over them get to go on the bus and leave them behind in the dark or the weather just because the system leave them out as if they still can’t be productive member of our society still.

With all those buildings and businesses, convenient parking facilities for internal and external customers seem limited. Motor vehicle parking will definitely be an issue.
