Do you like a creamy lather that is moisturizing or big giant bubbles that are super cleansing? When formulating a recipe, the oils/fats and butters you use will greatly change how your final soap will perform. Another important factor is your water source. We have rain water collection, and I have found that it produces a creamier lather overall than when we were on city or rural water. When formulating a recipe, definitely take into account how you want it to perform! Superfatting your recipe will also change this as well as additives like sugar which can add a boost in bubbles. The first soap I'm sharing is a handcrafted MP Melt & Pour detergent free goat's milk soap, but the rest of them are all Cold Process.
- Goat's Milk MP Detergent Free Soap
- My Normal Cold Process Recipe that uses a blend of olive, (palm, tallow, or lard), coconut, shea butter, and castor oil.
- 95% Lard 5% Castor
- Face Soap - similar to my normal recipe but no shea butter
- Apple Cider Vinegar Shampoo Soap
- Apple Cider Vinegar Shave Soap with Avocado Oil as the main oil
