I was in high school when this concert happened. It's called Two For The Knight and is a valentine concert. me and my friends watched this live at the Araneta Coliseum and it was amazing hearing them sing live. The quality of music back then was relatively raw compared to how it evolved these days.

That's a good good song. Brian tweeted years back that kyla's his new fave rnb singer bec she did a cover of home- brian's song. Kyla kept in touch and when she got engaged, brian gifted her a song for the wedding. They recorded it but wasnt able to do a live perf. She has a whole album dedicated to that style of Regine you like called Low Key (2006) where the jazzy track Clouds Across the Moon is from. That's whole 17 tracks for you, hahahaha. Although you can still find songs like that among ALL her albums, really, I guess it's just that some of the belty hits get more traction naturally.

It may be Brian's song, but Regine brought her AGame and ate that. I think Brian really liked that he didn't have to hold back because of Regine's pedigree. Both must enjoy when they don't have to worry of overshadowing the other because they are equally great.

She has a couple of duets like Alicia Keys as a surprised guest, Jacky Cheung, David Hasselhoff and some others that I can’t remember. It's their original and the song has been covered later by other Filipino singers. You may also want to look up "Will I Survive" by Introvoys, a contemporary of After Image. Jonathan Buencamino is the main vocalist of Introvoys but their drummer, Paco Arespacochaga also dished out his own song "Line to Heaven " as kinda tribute to his late father. Bendiciones 😊

Regine is a pop balladeer. That song is written and made to be sang by both RnB singers (McKnight and Mariah) It's difficult for Regine to sound in a way on how the song would normally sound. But she made it work.

Mariah penned the song with longtime collaborator Walter Affanasieff for her mostly r&b album, Butterfly. I think that’s why there are so many spaces to do runs. Plus the key change that comes from out of nowhere.

Mariah Carey is such a brilliant writer and producer for doing this song in 1997!! She sang it was a duet for a re-release of a compilation album at the time in 1998.
In the Philippines, theres always an issue everytime an artists render our National Anthem in any gathering, it should be sung in a right tempo, right cadence, without any riffs and runs to show respect to the National Anthem.
There is a special law on our national flag and national anthem. You might get sued if you do not sing it accordingly. That's why we even we have a number of belters, they can belt the national anthem.
