After taking me 7 weeks and close to 3000 miles, I finally made it above the Arctic Circle in the Yukon. This video shows what rewards await for such an outstanding adventure! Shot in early September.
Sidenote: The part at 11:30 where I say "Oh My God, bears!" was live and unrehearsed. I was not running from the bears, I was running for my camera, I just realized I couldn't shoot a 800lb bear with a 50mm lens! SP

Slim, you are the only RV RU-vidr that I ALWAYS watch. Your videos don’t have or need stupid teasers, fake drama, long periods of mood music or e-begging. Just gorgeous scenery, lots of rv travel and technical tips, wildlife, food ideas, rv life demos, and generous sharing of your knowledge of the natural world. Keep up the good work! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

@@SlimPotatohead That's an interesting point I wasn't aware of Slim. Makes video creator's life more complicated. The lone Dutch motorcyclist Noraly from *Itchy Boots* buys paper maps from petrol stations and draws her route with a Sharpie, whilst the Swedish yachties from *RAN Sailing* always use Google Earth. I welcome your maps too, and often follow-up the videos with further exploration on Google Earth and Street View, or 360° photos if they're available at that location. Makes the whole experience so immersive. Thanks for today's map.

What an awesome video Slim, you capture the intimate details others miss in nature. I love the macro shots of flora, the colors, the touch, and then the transition to the whole beautiful landscape with poetic thoughts spotting a Ptarmigan camouflaged in the rocks and flowers and the family of grizzlies wandering through the berries. Your presence is so peaceful and articulate. Thank you for capturing this incredible Yukon space like no one else.

Who said “you have to die to get to heaven?” There is such a large percentage of human beings on earth that just go through life with their eyes closed. So few eyes are actually open to the heaven all around them. It is here for the taking. As with anything worthwhile, there is hard work, frustration, and risk. Ah, my weekly fix of Slim Potatohead. Those colours are amazing. That mama bear looked pretty hungry. Glad you didn't become part of the menu. Bucket list material! Thanks Slim for yet another fantabulous video!

Couldn't have enjoyed this video more Slim. It had everything! The barren Mars like landscape, the beautiful colors of the flora, the berries, bird and bears, and especially the Northern lights. Fantastic! Thanks so much!

COVID may have changed your plans for this year, but I'm so grateful for this view of Canada you've given us through your trip this summer. Something so many of us will never see. Thank you.

I've lived off grid in Trapper Creek Alaska for 17 years now and I have purchased cheap solar panels from harbor freight and had them shipped up. Your Channel is one of my favorites. If I had more time to travel, I'd be right behind you. But my way of living at my tiny farm wouldn't allow it. If I'm not here to take care of it then I don't eat. Thank you so very much for your travels and sharing them. Blessings sent to you and yours!💋

Absolutely stunning! I have never seen so much beauty and pristine nature in a single video. National Geographic has nothing on you. Thank you so much for sharing that. So glad the bears looked healthy and beautiful.
