This is a 3D Systems DMP Flex 350 build plate showcasing the surface and volumetric lattices that can be designed using 3DXpert, our purpose built metal additive manufacturing software which comes bundled with out metal 3D printers. These lattice structures are parametric, which means that if you want to change something in the design, all you need to do is edit the parameters (quantity, distance, angle, etc) of the feature and click “OK”. The geometry will regenerate almost instantly. 3DXpert comes with a few preset lattice geometries. But you can also create a custom lattice and add it to the library of 3DXpert to reuse in other projects.

Hi, Is this powder bed fusion? I am a student who studying additive manufacturing and would like to print these lattice structures for my projects, But I have encountered some issues, my printing was not successful due to the overhang design. May I know how you tackle the overhang design issue? Is there any recommendation for the dimension (angle, length) of the overhang ?

Yes, powder bed fusion is another term use to describe this technology. Overhang limits depend a lot of the geometry of the part and the support structures you add (if needed)
