Such a great tune, y'all got no excuse next time I try to bring it up at a Balmer jam. I really like the timing on this version, it is hypnotic, although I am used to droning a low A during the pizzicato portion. Beautiful!
Great playing, beautiful tune. Did Bill Monroe write this or play it. . .? Okay looked it up. Benny Tomasson. Played by many but Kenny Baker played probably with Bill Monroe
Bmore in the house (or tent). Used to be with BFMS, played there, then Kentucky, now Missippi. The tunes change a little (a lot in Missippi) but the dedication to the music is universal. Open Jam I've played twice, wasn't what it is now in 1980s.
