@@tedcabana Haha . No he means the other parts. and that's not really that close to Eruption anyways. It's just cool to see Randy playing parts of songs that are from the albums - Blizzard of Oz and Diary of a Madman. Super cool.
K S wait I really hope I’m understanding you the wrong way , but you do realize he is the guy who played on all those songs and he isn’t imitating anyone
Oh...I never despised a plane crash like I do that one ...of all people on this earth to be in that place at that exact time....why him?? Life fucking sucks so bad sometimes 😢😢😢
valerieash ... I believe it was because Ozzy just let him play and creat. Ozzy was mature and allowed Randy to mature musically and personally. Randy use to wear a vest with pocadots and a big bow tie like Roger rabbit. Ozzy saw that and told Randy to get rid of the outfit. Instead Randy put on leather pants and a leather vest, all black and looked super cool, a Rockstar.... . Everyone was kids in quiet riot. Having fun. In Ozzy, you don't get it or perform your fired period.
It got real, really quick with Ozzy and so did he.just like a top notch draft pick in football, was really good and could see the talent in college, when he gets to the pros though,he becomes a superstar.
Ozzy w/Daisley and Kerslake offerered Randy the opportunity to write music that was heavier and darker than QR, and seemed to suit his immense talent more appropriately. Rhoads(and, Schenker)is the guitar player that will always be held in highest regard and admiration. A profound inspiration in my life.
@leahcim38 Look at other Diary tunes such as SATO or Little Dolls, that remained unfinished upon release. Just a rhythm and scratch. No overdubs. Randy was disappointed. I think these songs are monumental tracks, pure, honest, and dark. There are the commercial cuts too, Crazy Train, Flying High Again. Remember, Oz is Sabbath. QR was Sunset Strip. Rhoads brought another key element, a comprehension of classical composition, Goodbye to Romance, Tonight. You are right, of course, with such a slight body of work, we are left with only an introduction to an infinitely unknown potential of a young artist with a gift of truth, inspired and honest.
Why the fuck is there not a motion picture movie about Randy Rhoads the guy is an iconic legend he's influenced so many great guitar players I think Hollywood needs to wake the fuck up and make this movie about a young man that changed Guitar playin forever plus he was Hollywood VIVA RANDY RHOADS POR VIDA!
Flying High Again "The Randy Rhoads Legacy" there's the name i dont want my cut of shares for the idea send that to the Rhoads family to go towards honoring Musonia Randy Kelly Kathy and Delores.
@@fatmangaming2720Here's my reason why I think he's the best. Sure other guitarists may be able to play harder stuff, but Randy Rhoads can play hard stuff and make it sound good and have a flow and have feeling to it. In a way that no other guitarist (in my opinion) can. The kid was also 20 before he died in a plane crash so he would have been the greatest and most heard of name in guitar history I bet.
@@fatmangaming2720are you high. At this point Randy was just a kid and hasn't even became what he was on Blizzard or diary of a madman. And he was dead at the age of 25
Randy had his own Style of playing.Kids today copy each other with the sweeping and the tapping but not one out of a 1000 has his or her own style of playing. If you want to stand out from the crowd develop your own style of playing.
I'm crying from my eyes (what the hell does that even mean?!) at this HUGE loss of a small in stature, but GARGANTUAN talent!! This should be a valuable lesson to wannabe guitar heros. It's not about how fast you can play them notes. It's about articulation, phrasing, Dynamics, going where most wouldn't think to go with the notes, musicality, etc. Soooooooooooooo many slingers out there, but none touch me like Randy or Eddie. I gotta say it again. These guys can WRITE songs that can be appreciated by music lovers as well as guitarists. That skill has all but died. I love guys like Guthrie ( Don't u dare say that I'm dissing him. LOVE that guy to death! I will break ur arm off and beat u with it if u say that!! LOL), but while, as a guitar player myself, I love all that stuff by guys like him (and others players), I'm not sure my non-guitar playing friends could find enjoyment listening to them.... Randy please come back!!!
If this is at the Starwood, then i was at this show, sitting in the upstairs section...Its really dark so it's hard to tell... but i totally remember that solo. Being a young guitar player myself and getting the chance to meet with Randy on a couple of occasions was awesome...He was a very genuine guy.. extremely nice and polite, unlike Kevin, who was a bit of an asshole at times ( but you had to know the guy to figure him out )...Great memories...thanks to whomever posted this...I wish i could find old footage of my band, Jail Bait when we used to play there.
2010jimn Unfortunately I’m not sure of the exact date, but I’m pretty sure this is when Randy came back home to do a few nights with Q Riot while in between touring with Ozzy... Its really dark so not totally sure whether it’s the Starwood or Whiskey
Randy had all that music stored up , you can hear it everywhere in the solo. He got to show his creativity and musical genius joining Ozzy. Boy was the world blessed by Randy !!
Now Randy and eddie can be reunited.in heaven and gods guitarists and play heavenly music God bless them both they was the best ever and my husband is heartbroken over eddie and has always loved Randy they was his two number ones rest in peace
It's kinda cool to compare this with the some his his last solos. Even if it wasn't a long time for him to improve you can still see that he always increased his skill.
I've seen things both ways where Eddie came to Randy shows to steal stuff and vice versa. I wasn't there, but they sound nothing like each other. They are both crazy good. Lucky to have them.
It's haunting to me when Kevin says, one of the ace guitarists, only people here in the Starwood know that. I can't help but think, had Randy not made it to THE audition, we very well may have never heard his virtuoso talent on a global scale. Remember, QR was having trouble finding a record deal. Thanks to Dana for talking him into going...
Well I certainly heard good bye to romance in this…. Kinda shoots ozzy’s claim that the melody was a tune his mum used to sing to him and that Randy turned it into a song….. Osbournes lie.
The solo sure. But the general melody of the main song sure. Idk. Plenty of lies about song writing credits over the years though that is true sadly. Or certainly a lot of debat in it between ozzy and bob
So we have good video of Randy with Quiet Riot but there isn't any pro shot video from the Diary of a Madman tour released yet? Come on Sharon, please dress up Ozzy's vocals and release some footage already. Most people will wanting to be see Randy anyways. If you'd released it 10 years ago just think of the young players influenced by watching a master. Might have influenced the next guitar player for Ozzy ya know?
Yea. It’s a bit stupid. There are some videos Ive found. They all get copy right striked when posted on here. This is one of the few videos that didn’t get struck way back when that happened to the ones I had on here. It’s bs.
We have a 16 page digital transcription of Randy's solo available at our site. Such a great solo, featuring plenty of fast pentatonic runs and machine gun speed picking!
someone who had one let Randy use it incase something happened with his.and for diff tunings but idk if quiet riot played all songs standard or half a step down..I'm sure that's what I'm thinking I heard quite awhile ago...
.( All in the Hands ).. Most impressively was Randy's ability to "Punctuate Each Note". . Such Ultra Precision , Clear in Detail... (lol,, Seriously that's very rare in a Guitarist 🎸)
Yes Randy did tapping after EVH, however, ace frehley did tapping before that, and before Ace, jazz guitars used two handed tapping. Randy could play different stuff, Eddie was and is a great player, one of the best, but listen to Spanish fly, then listen to Dee, both are amazing but Randy can play differently, Spanish fly sounds like Eddie, also Randy DID NOT play classical music just to "keep up with Eddie", Randy was playing classical guitar before EVH dropped their first record. EVH is one of my favorite bands, but Randy was technically better in every regard. Randy wrote a song for the music, Eddie wrote a song around the guitar solo... enough said
I have heard about Ozzy punching Randy, and Randy using that peice for diary of a madman, Randy obviously wasn't perfect however the way he used the peice for the opening of diary of a madman is undeniably badass, he's my favorite guitarist of all time, so of course I'm gonna stick my neck out for him but you can't deny that his classical training was a huge influence to the sound of the Ozzy Osbourne band and various others of the mid-late eighties. Personal opinions aside, he was a great player and songwriter.
It kinda reminds me of "Communication Breakdown" or "Heart Breaker" by Led Zeppelin. I'm not saying that it is by no means a rip off of Led Zep. Randy Rhoads has and is a major inspiration to me as a guitarist. I was not fortunate enough to see him live. I had purchased tickets to see him and Ozzy at a festival in New Orleans and later finding out about the airplane crash. Randy's replacement for that show was Brad Gillis of the Night Ranger fame. So anyone who had the great fortune to see him, with Ozzy or Quiet Riot, were very, very lucky.
Thanks for sharing the old footage , Randy Rhodes is a true Master of Guitar and sound , I hope he found his own way on the other side , he deserves anything he wants , ...
