Hey Paul! Thanks a lot mate. These Kookaburras are lazy as hell lol, they only “laugh” for a few seconds after they arrive then just shut up, I badly wanna capture them laughing 😆 Had an ok weekend, now at least the weather is ok-ish:-)
Hi Peter, I had a pair on my farm, I think they were descendants of wildlife brought over here well over 100 year ago by a former Governor , I thought I was dreaming when I first heard them, but they would sometimes sit in a big gnarly pine tree behind the house and chatter away. It’s been years since I heard one , maybe they can’t compete with the Magpies (who do well here) and other territorial birds along with vermin like rats and ferrets. Yours must be resting their vocals 😀
