I was Billy's pianist in tve 80s. It was the best gig ever. Trouble was his act got longer and longer. He's still a long lost pal, but he's genuinely a nice bloke. One of the best.
Utterly stupendous. A unique talent. One of the funniest men who ever performed. The orgasm routine is a work of comic genius. And he's still going strong at 71!
Jesus I didn't think he was 72. I was in the same year as his son throughout school and lived on the same road as him. If we're both 22 now, then he certainly was a dirty dog 🤣
It’s 4am and I am isolating...just watched Billy and the last five minutes the tears were streaming down my face. I think Lee Evans based his act on similar comedy antics. Just what I needed so thank you for sharing 😁
Anna McHugh Glad you liked it & he is one of my favourite comedians. Thank you for commenting & please take a look at the other Billy Pearce video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zGTX8yF8i5k.html. Stay Safe. 👍
old ones are the best ive been watching stand up myseld while isolating mick miller & stan boardman to name a few ...johnny cassons is good too & charlie williams
rob evans I don’t know about you rob but I also think familiarity makes us feel better & along with some great jokes it makes you feel better in these strange times. Stay Safe 🙏 Thank you for watching & commenting.
@@RobCharles im one of those ppl who like all kinds even the racial ones because i know its just a joke like chubby brown for example but some ppl find it offensive which i dont get tbh ..theres things said in jokes about my own personal appearence but im not bothered as its fun =D
Saw him at butlins in the early 90s, the children’s entertainer couldn’t make it so they asked if he could fill in very short notice but bless him he kept us kids laughing the whole time having had to alter his act quite a lot to make it appropriate for children.
I saw Billy Pearce live in Blackpool . We couldn't hear half of the jokes due to the laughter around the theater. The half we heard were amazingly funny.
Really funny guy saw him on telly a few times in the 80's and i loved his style, he's even better in a club. Thoroughly enjoyed this thanks for uploading
An absolute legend. I first saw Billy on New Faces back in the mid 80s. The following Summer he was on the bill of Stan Boardman's show at The Grand Theatre, Blackpool (which also featured the pop group The Dooleys). It was 20 years later before I had the pleasure of seeing him again, he had to be on his best behaviour as he was working with The Osmonds... I love his version of Old Shep :-) It was a laugh on the last night of the season with Stan Boardman. People who knew the routine opened umbrellas when the remote control dog did his thing... I retaliated with a water pistol :-)
Saw him in panto three weeks ago. The man is crude, rude, dirty and blue but NEVER racist. Oh boy, what a funny bloke. I love his "I went and joined one of those country clubs. Got bored, didn't go for ages. Then one day I thought I'd go back." "we can't let you in". "Can't let me in? I'm a chuffin' country member" - "Oh yes, we remember"!
Was at butins when I was a kid and Billy Pearce was there for the late night entertainment but the childrens entertainer they had booked earlier in the day couldn’t make it so they asked billy if he could fill in at the last minute, he did and was great but being a very blue comedian (as I found out later in life) I find it amazing that not only he said yes but that he managed to come up with a whole kid friendly act virtually on the fly.
Billy Pearce is a LEGEND to me. Seen him many times in Blackpool throughout my life, and gave me and my dad many many laughs!! He should be on TV! pitty he went to doing kids pantos though! Still a LEGEND! What year was this?
seen him live doing this adult show in Bradford early 90s. Superb with great timing. Also does a fabulous children's panto each year at Bradford Alhambra.
I have seen Billy Pierce live twice now and seen him several times on TV at the London Palladium and other TV shows that failed him. His joke telling is some of the best. I tell some of his jokes about the Welsh *danja Goslow and Llandudno* if your true fans you will know these two jokes and couple of Liverpool jokes now to a few selected friends and they always say where did you hear that from. This is the third time, I've seen this video and it's Billy Pierce all over. What are Police on horses called again! And when his lady friend jumped on the bed post was it wooden or metal, mainly because of the splinters and the rust.
FREDDY STARR .... Now he was a great act ! This berk wasn't fit to .... sweep his dressing room out ? How did this act ever make it onto TV ................ SHITE !
They're basically the jokes we used to tell in the school playground. They were funny back then but too childish and predictable now really. I used to like him.
Clearly in a minority’ if you read the other comments but as I say if we all liked the same things this World be a boring place. Thank you for your comment thou they all help with the ranking of the video. 👍
Colin Garrard obviously not your type of comedy & you seem to be in a minority if you look at the other comments. Each to there own. Would be a boring world if we ALL liked the same thing. To others your comedy thing as you say may be CRAP! Let us know who that is please.
People in the UK and in Australia both like to sit and have a good laugh at our own comedians on TV. The only difference is, UK comedians are on stages, and yours are in Parliament.
