hi to all this is what we need in these sad time's laughing is the best medicine TV should consider more comedy shows l have just three of the best ever. Keep well Brian
I used to work on the northern club circuit as a house musician. Johnny was always a regular, and my job was to play him on and off. His act was always brilliantly funny as you see from above. He was wonderfully friendly, and we were friends for years. A great act and all round top bloke
What makes you say he is a true performer? Every single joke he told was used by some other comedian or other years back. None of his material was written by him.
That joke about the dog answering the door - our dog would go answer the phone as well thinking it was for him! Great comedian is our Johnny. Love you xxx
Used to show Johnny’s video , when I had a pub in Paphos. One day a signed photo turned up. Thanks Johnny, naturally a very funny guy. Also from Halifax area, the best soccer team 👍👍
Johnny Casson is one of the greatest ,every video on youtube of him he has after five minutes into his routine people laughing hard.and by the time his concerts are over the audience is cheering and applauding on all of the videos.his timing of a joke and his subject matter has everybody identifying with the gag.good man Johnny wish i was in the UK to see you live in person.your one of my favorites of all time.Thank You.and Thanks for the video. from the USA
I worked with Johnny many times when I was a compere on the manchester circuit he was the drummer in the CRESTERS great guy and good friend a very funny man!
A brilliant comedian. Don't understand why he became famous so late in his career. What put him on his way to stardom was when he appeared on Bruce Forsyth's 70th birthday. A very well deserved fame.
I bought a Mick miller "in the club" DVD and Jonny was on the other side, neither disappointed, hilarious and good clean stuff compared to some of today's tossers .
He is one of the funniest comedians around, dry sense of humour, brilliantly delivered, unexpected punch-lines...I had the pleasure of working with him a few yrs ago, with Cannon and Ball, what a great show it was, never laughed so much, difficult to keep my mind on what I were doing, and a pic with them later, truly happy memories.
Hmmm this is all tongue in cheek stuff and nothing offensive at all, and I would certainly take my Gran to see him. May be you should listen to Frankie Boyle or Bernard Manning for a comparison then go back to church😂😂😂
Probably one of the best drummers of the early sixties in Britain. A member of certainly the finest group of the time who unfortunately were only famous for being the group’s group.
I should have mentioned the name of the group Johnny played with. They were The Cresters. They had a great front man called Malcolm Clark, who I believe , passed away quite young. Of course before that they were Malcolm Clark and the Cresters. Brilliant! I remember the lead guitar player was called Richard Harding. He played a Gretsch White falcon which drew as much of their audience as the whole group put together! All joking aside, they were absolutely astonishing.
Funny Johnny missed one of his best, "Me 'n t'reet pretty girlfriend were queuin' for t'pictures when we found a bundle of fifty pound notes. I said 'Hide 'em in yer knickers 'til the film's done'. Later comin' out she cried, 'Oh the bundle's gone!' I said 'Ow could that 'appen?' She said, 'I don't know. Well, I let the lad on 'other side o' me 'ave a grope but I didn't think 'ee were a thief!'"
