My bachelor is in Theology/Youth ministry. With over 10 years in ministry/leadership. I don’t have a MDiv, how do I go about becoming a chaplain?

Joy, applicants must meet the requirements to be eligible to apply. To be eligible to apply to be a Chaplain you must be a US citizen and possess 120 semester hours from an accredited college or university and possess a Master of Divinity or an equivalent theological degree. Or have completed 3 full time resident years of graduate-level study in theology or related subjects from an accredited institution leading to ordination and ecclesiastical endorsement that qualifies applicant to perform professional functions as a chaplain. Must be commissioned before the age of 40, age waivers may be available. Applicants must also have a minimum of 2 years preaching experience in their denomination to apply. They attend the 5 week course Don Air Force and Space Force Recruiting Service

@@USAirForceRecruiting Chaplains now attend the full 8.5 week OTS as of writing. Only a certain subset of health professions go to the 5 week course (that runs concurrently with OTS but ends early). 24-02 OTS Graduate - Ch Roosevelt

we have a Buddhist chaplain in the Air National Guard...but not on Active Duty Air Force yet. But we've reached out to seminaries that focus on Buddhist studies and hope to bring in a Buddhist chaplain (or several) in the years ahead!

The Air Force and the DoD is in the business of separating people by race, ethnicity, and gender. Whatever happened to One Team, One Fight? There’s a reason nobody wants to serve in a Woke Organization like the USAF. As a career recruiter you guys need to speak up instead of going along to get along. Integrity First, right?

yup. My friend has/ was/had been in for a year. His first sgt is a male that identifies as a female but looks male. Well he didn't know that and called her sir. And they kicked him out over it.
