The Fair Trade Campus Programme is a joint initiative of Fairtrade Africa and World Fairtrade Organization Africa and the Middle East ( WFTO A & ME).
The goal of the programme is to advance social justice and sustainable livelihoods for farmers, artisans and workers through the promotion of ethical production and consumption habits.
It seeks to achieve this through the establishment of partnerships with youth who presently make up Kenya's and Africa's largest demographic (70%) thus possessing the power and influence to drive change.
The pilot phase of the programme was launched in partnership with Strathmore University, a Kenyan based university in July 2022.
