This is my favorite Jayco model yet. With a closet behind the tv the bench in the bedroom can stay - which makes it one of my favorite RV bedrooms ever.
Needs the closet. There’s a sofa in the living room. Or better the theater seats. The washer/dryer site - just leave the site open, and perhaps let the customer buy a third party small washer. These are smaller than the RV washers, and could probably be secured to protect the drum. As for the storage - YES! Do the secret pantry behind the TV!
Think of the bedroom this way, you can absolutely always bring more storage with you. You can't always make the RV more comfy, sometimes a quiet, private space is priceless.
My wife loved the seating in the bedroom, with the storage. But we would like to see a longer couch and a shorter dinette. And changing the storage behind the TV is a must. Great Job Josh. Best wishes TO BISH"S
Theater seats or two recliners. Rather have table and chairs than dinette. I'd go with my lil washer than an RV washer. The lil pocket storage - just needs a slide. LIKE how this is one i could travel with instead of being parked alot. Otherwise definately on my 'wish' list. Thanks Josh. 👍
DUDE!! This is an amazing trailer!! Beautiful floor plan, lots of quality, very luxurious exterior! A couch and a fire place IN THE BEDROOM! This thing would look amazing behind my cummins Ram! WOW!😍
Yes, yes, yes to the hidden storage room! Much better use of space! Not bad on the bedroom sofa. That works for me. I would want a 2nd a/c unit even though we live in Oregon. Summer heat here in Portland is humid due to 2 rivers. Also we have family in Arizona & Texas. We were wondering if slide covers are available due to our location. Lots of rain & trees of all kinds.
Completely agree that all campers should be standard equipped with slide covers (awnings). My sister and I installed the slide cover over my trailer, I couldn't stand having tree branches and pine needles on top of my slide 😖. I brought a long handled push button and ladder with me before I installed the slide awning. Saves me lots of time and the headache of one more thing to do when breaking camp.
I mention the folowing because you mentioned that it might not be advisable to install a washer/dryer in this RV. This laundry info is for those who might not know this, as I didn't until a few months ago. Very light, portable washers and spin-dryers are easily available; we got one recently because I can no longer go downstairs to do our laundry. The washer is a light, plastic unit that is 25" by 16" and is on casters so it can roll to different places. It is light enough that it could even be lifted into a shower if you were transporting it in an RV. It does laundry well enough to satisfy this very picky homemaker. The spin unit doesn't dry the clothes completely, but gets them about 75%-80% dry, and then I put the small items on a light wire drying rack or on retractable clothes lines in the shower enclosure (and those are very inexpensive and readily available), and most of the clothes can go on plastic hangers to hang to dry, even if the clothes will then be folded and put away in cupboards. None of the clothes had water dripping on the floor, so these clothes could be set out to dry in the bedroom of an RV very easily and be put away long before it was time to go to bed at night. This means that all of the clothes hang to finish drying in a very compact space. I washed and dried 5 loads of laundry and hung it to dry in our small bathroom at home in one afternoon. All of this is a very long way of saying that installing a washer/dryer permanently in an RV doesn't need to be the only option, or even the best option in some cases.
@@JoseHernandez-jh7ht Actually, it is very easy. I can do it, and I am a mildly disabled older woman and it is no problem for me. And if you don't want to have this kind of washer, you certainly don't need to, but it is a viable option for some people and I thought it was worth mentioning. But you are correct in saying that it isn't for everyone.
No closet in the bedroom would definitely be a deal breaker! I hang a lot of our clothes. Love the look of this trailer though. Also love the high ceiling. I agree 100% on the storage idea. Thanks again for your honesty.
Is there anything out there up to 30ft. with washer/dryer prep for us construction workers that travel for work?We park on driveways & like to also hit hot spots en route
If a fifth wheel works the eagle ht 24re is a few inches under 30 foot and is prepped for a combo washer. If you need a trailer you are looking at like 35 foot for something like a grand design imagine or an eagle ht. It's a very uncommon feature in travel trailers and the level of RV it's found on tends to be on the larger size.
I would love the closet setup behind the tv. And I would also like the closet instead of the lounge couch in the bedroom. But neither would be a deal breaker.
Josh thanks for showing this one. I’m all in on two AC units and the theater seats. Having a front closet swaption for us full time RV folks is a great idea. Turning the stretch arm strong cabinet into a pantry behind the entertainment is in my opinion definitely the right way to go! I don’t have the need for out door kitchen, got my grill and everything else is inside.
This qualifies in the "not the every day hoo hum repeat floor plans!" I'd change the entertainment storage for sure. I like the bedroom suite feel A LOT! I wouldn't give the front windshield up for a closet personally. I wish the washer/dryer prep was elsewhere to avoid the warranty issues if you do it...but I don't have an obvious suggestion for it. I very much like this. It's perhaps a lot for someone eyeing solo camping, but it is luxurious without being too over the top. Very nice all around!
I love this floorplan! We travel with cats, so I'd keep the sofa in the bedroom for them to sleep on. Keep the queen with the side units, but also keep king option. Theater seats and the pantry for sure. We are stationary most of the time, so I'd like the w/d option, but willing to consider smaller, portable options...especially if a larger tub/shower combo were an option (the more space to bathe those kitties, the better!) I am looking for "work from home" opportunities, and I believe I would use the u dinette as my office space and allows seating for guests. This RV has many great amenities, but 9k lbs and 3/4 ton puts it out of my league, and I didn't even need to know the price tag! It sure is a beauty though!
We had another brand one time with a front windshield and the space in front got used as storage. I like the idea of the compartment behind the bedroom couch. This has dirty clothes hamper written all over it. The storage behind the TV is spot on! Camping in a 332 CBOK now and we're looking to down size just a bit. I think we found it!
Since you asked…love the bedroom layout, but lack of hanging closet would have been a deal breaker IF there wasn’t room in the bathroom closet to hang clothes. Deal breakers for me are no campside windows or road access to the bathroom. Love the idea of making storage behind the TV. Definitely prefer theater seats to the sofa sleeper. And if it’s a couple’s unit, nix the giant U-shaped dinette that is sucking up so much room. Table and two chairs and we’re good to go. I’d rather see the extra room in living room seating. Great looking unit.
I love, love the bedroom. It looks so roomy! I do agree with the Cubby behind the TV. However, while I know that extra storage or pantry space is great, I would much rather just have the tv back on the wall & further away from the bathroom entry way. I’m a bit torn, I like the look of the u-shaped dinette, but I would rather have a table and chairs, which can be easily removed or replaced. Lastly, larger theater seating and light or white color options for all the trim/cabinetry. Not a fan of all the dark wood, bedroom would look even bigger with lighter colors. Basically, tailored more for couples.
I wanted a JaycoWhiteHawk38KBS with a Bedroom Bench up front. In that unit you can tell Eagle boss that the awning CAN NOT be opened and open the door can’t happen. It’s a simple fix to make it a foot longer awning. My hubby wouldn’t buy it and I love it. Where can I find one with your closet pantry, OR a JaycoWhiteHawk38KBS. Please help it’s getting urgent!! Thank you!!
Hi Josh. We Park camping for us with full hookup and and stay two months in Michigan. We need a bench up in the bedroom for my German Shepard, Payton. We’d love to take this model or a JaycoWhiteHawk38KBS for s rest camp up in Michigan. We’re from Illinois in Bourbonnais. The theatre seats are great. A closet behind the tv with the rear bath and vented for a dryer vent for my rock polishing hobbies. We need the front bench!! So Josh…… Please help us find a bench camper, rear Bath for our doggie this spring !!! Please pM me. Thanks. Great video!! Lisa & Don H.
Hey Josh, very nice snowbird trailer. Tall ceilings 👍🏻 I like the sofa nook in the bedroom, needs a second a/c up front for me (southwest region). I’d prefer a rectangle shower and the closetainment is always cool 😎
I think the closet idea is a great one. I'm in a much smaller Jay Flight and have trouble reaching the back of my cabinets, so I can imagine that would be impossible. I'm 5'4".
I would recommend (1) that they change the pantry on the other side of the bedroom...to become the bedroom closet. (2) add the full pantry storage behind the entertainment center (obviously it wouldn't be as deep as the other model that was shown). I also love that this trailer does not have a bunkhouse. It is just my husband and me...and our fur babies. I also love the front windshield and the bed slide. Not sure about the couch in the bedroom? Why they couldn't add the washer/dryer options where the couch is? That would reduce the bounce???
The master bedroom is outstanding. Rather have the bench instead of the closet. The fireplace in the bedroom is awesome. Put the washer and dryer setup in the front pantry area if the storage/pantry space would be behind the TV in the living room
No closet in bedroom is a deal breaker for me….the rest is great. We’re looking for bedroom slide out with closet and dresser storage in bedroom travel trailer
Josh, it’s a beautiful trailer and if the make the back of the TV open pantry storage as the Eagle rep showed, it would be very nice. But I’d prefer a full closet in the front instead of the windshield and the sofa and definitely make it possible for a stackable washer.
Totally correct about the storage. Nice, the gentleman was willing to listen. From the standpoint, of an old man. If I pay 32 grand for a trailer. I would expect, to adapt to the trailer. But as you get closer to 50 grand. I do not feel, I should have to adapt.
I like this trailer. This trailer will be home. I live in AZ n want off grid living. I already have septic tank n 300 gallons water tank. I now live in my own home, for me it's too large.
Do not like the front windshield. To me it's just another place for it to leak and no one ever says anything about are they breakable from a rock or some other flying debris. And honestly are you really going to sit in your bedroom and stare out at other people from your bedroom kind of creepy LOL. More storage would be nice in place of the windshield after all you do need clothes and if you have nowhere to keep them where are you going to keep them? And for the tongue jack if it was me I would still put a power jack on for a travel trailer it just would be easier for hookup and on hooking.
I would like to see that trailer with a larger shower than that closet. For us washing clothes in the rv isn't an option for what we use it for. It's easier to go to a good washeteria. But that's just us. Oh and a king size bed with a signature hybrid mattress from BB. I like all the space in this camper. I love that the manufacturers are listening to your ideas and the ideas of other campers.
A closet instead of the brontosaurus cavity would be amazing. If given the choice between the front sofa and wardrobe I would select the sofa. The bathroom closets (and new TV closet 😉) are plenty of closets for me. And I like the idea of having dual living rooms with the bedroom seating. A second AC would be mandatory for me at this price point. And I didn't know the washer/dryer fragility factoid. Thank you for going the extra mile with your info. It's what makes you the best in the business!
I love the bedroom! Not having a monster closet allows for all of the light coming in, and makes it so open. I also really like seeing a queen bed. I have always been turned off by the east-west bed, not only do you have no side stand, they always feel tight around the head. I agree that that storage pocket is ridiculous. The elephant reach is bad, but what fool thought that handle hitting the mirror was a good idea? That handle would come off right away. I'm glad they are changing it to much more usable space. After all, we have the technology.
They could totally flip the door to open the other way, like some of the cupboards in the kitchen/entertainment area. Altho I much prefer making it a pantry...and exchanging the front pantry for a washer combo and upper closet for the bedroom.
Minimal hang up clothing, even full timing. Definitely good layout. We use our hang up area for hanging shelves anyways. Weird storage space could easily be used for seasonal clothing containers.
Love the floorplan, the colors, the matching carpetless slide, the extra sofa, the porcelain toilet and decent vent fan, the attached ladder and “the theater seating option”👍👍The only glaring omission is a minimum 190 watt standard solar package to complement the 12 volt fridge😕😕
Way to go Jayco. Amazing. The misses I see are definitely the missing closet. Lack of storage in the bathroom. The missing 2nd air and the stupid 4" fart fan.
What's in the wall cavity behind the TV and Tootsie Toaster? Seems like those two things aren't the same depth as the cabinet is. Edited: commented before I saw the dumb deep storage space. The alternate storage space they showed with the pantry? That would be primo!!! I also agree on the longer couch, shorter dinette comment as well. It's going to be a couple's camper. The table doesn't need to seat 6! Pros: massive tanks, great layout, plenty of storage Cons:. 1800lbs of cargo capacity? That's not much... 85 gallons of fresh water alone will eat up 1/3 of that.
Thank you so much Josh for the awesome videos. Thank you for listening Rudy! I visited the Junction City store this week and everyone was amazingly helpful. it is troubling when you have an issue with your beloved RV. I felt it was in good hands. Thank you 😊
At 6’7” I am thrilled to see this! And my F250 Super Duty should be able to pull it. Just added it to my list for the Tampa show. I prefer the theater seating since the dinette could also be used for a bed. I do like the idea of the pantry behind the TV. Kinda feel like the couch in the bedroom would not be too useful and that space may have been a good place for the washer dryer? What else should I look at in Tampa that would work for my height ? Do they make a similar model in the Pinnacle line? One final comment…I live in NC but your videos are so helpful I feel like I should buy from Bish’s. When’re y’all coming south? 😉
Change the "hole" to a hide-a-pantry, put a closet in place of the windshield. I really would like to see the RV mfg's get rid of the griddle and go back to the 2 burner range. Much more versatile. Are the front stabilizers powered or manual? If manual, it would be hard to set up the weight distribution on the hitch.
Coming from an aircraft production background with over 35 years of experience when I see the roof of an RV and I see how the sealant is applied I cringe it just looks sloppy it looks like he was just slapped on on an aircraft even a jet aircraft that flies it over 500 miles an hour the antennas on the top of the aircraft have a bead of sealant that is neatly applied all the way around the antenna base and they don’t leak. I would love to see the manufacture show a little more attention to detail on the roof.
I’ve always been told rvs that shirt cannot accept auto leveling systems I wonder if just the front jacks could work on a Murphy model like that.. hmmm
I would buy this hell yeah I've been looking for them to put a window like that in the front with a nice bench seat and stuff holy crap this is exactly what I was looking for and what I wanted them to make I like this one this is probably my new favorite
Awesome floor plan. Definitely recommend more bedroom closet space vs. the hidden storage. Wish this was more 1/2 ton friendly or they could offer it in the White Hawk model. Jayco is knocking it out of the park with new floor plans and the quality is always on point.
Love this bumper pull! I would prefer the theater seat option and table & chairs for dining. Storage is always key so I'd rather have a closet in the bedroom as I can always sit on the bed. Most definitely would like to see that walk in shelving option behind the TV. This has decent counter space in the kitchen 👌🏻 👏. Thanks Josh for sharing this trailer with me! Hope you have a great Labor day weekend
The proposed revised pantry option is an awesome idea! I also like your idea of a closet swaption Josh. Different styles of camping have different needs.
Josh, I love the idea of the storage change around the TV. That would allow the front pantry to be used for clothing. The benefit of that is you could very easily keep the couch in the bedroom, which for me is a great benefit. Anyone who loves to read, or just relax. The new configuration would also make having a fireplace in the bedroom make more sense without losing storage. This is a great new model. I love that there are 5 windows in the bedroom. Wow. Having a bedroom suite in a travel trailer is such a nice idea. These changes would allow it to be use for travel or long term set up. We are in the Midwest, Clinton Missouri. (We are the couple that stopped by in July and were blessed to spend a few minutes with you. thanks again.). NOW…I love the idea of the landing gear at the front. In the storage area there was the stabilizer tool. What I missed was how that front gear works. Is it set up with a remote somewhere or do you have to crank it. And, we are split on the hide a bed or the theater seating. Here is why. With the rear bathroom, it would not be convenient to put a double high queen blow up mattress. It would block the path, so probably a hide a bed. Since this model is immolating a 5th wheel, for me, it would be nice to have a stand alone dining table with either the 4 chairs or the bench on the wall side and two chairs on the other. Shout out to the Jayco rep for listening to your idea. Maybe this is one he could offer as well. I’m with you, should come with two AC’s standard. 38’ and a bedroom slide will really work the unit. Over all, love this unit for a TT.
@@JoshtheRVNerd If you see this bedroom in a shorter one, I'm your gal! Rudy Boals, please consider making this just a bit shorter somehow... possibly with a larger shower (IF POSSIBLE). OVER 34' won't fit in my driveway. I LOVE THIS BEDROOM and kitchen area... so we must trim a few feet off the back. 😆
About the front jack space, one could fabricate a vertical bike rack. With a 90 degree support that would put the bikes above the propane tanks. The bikes are safe and one maintains turning radius without damage.
8:06 theater seating 🎭💺 8:13 Midwest; however it’s less what region I’m in than my configuration/use being a solo traveler, as even if I had a mate/partner with no children or having sleep over guests there’s no need for a hide a bed 🛌 & a theater seat is my preference to live full time in this RV (even though the cuddle factor is diminished, unless the center console removes or lifts up, but I’m single now; however the bedroom lounging sofa in this one fills that gap 😉 & being in the bedroom keeps us from having to clutter the bed when we want to aggressively fold laundry 😉 😉 💪🏽 💪🏽 know what I mean #SayNoMore 🎪)
Ok Josh. Isn't the toilet paper holder attached to a sliding door? Won't it be 3 ft away from you with the BR door clothes? Stupid idea #2 or am I not seeing it correctly?
Flip this floorplan ...with bdrm in back.....DEFINITELY CLOSET in bdrm. Never heard of a flat deck 5th wheel. hhmmm. I like flat though. Do not like stairs if i can help it. Getting older.... For a smaller RV this one is nice with a few glitches. this is a General question..WHY OH WHY..is the bathroom on the opposite end of the bdrm??? I pee during the night. You think I want to prance through the entire RV naked? LOL NOPE. OH LOVEEEEE the storage behind the TV in the other one. Perfect. BTW..this is only my preference but I MUST have a big shower and tub. that for me is a deal breaker. For me...I prefer kitchen or living in the front..bdrm in back with bathroom close to bdrm and this is me being picky...I know I know..but..i have seen some great floor plans like that..of course out of my budget range.
that space they can make the closet area in the bathroom stay there cAUSE IT IS GOOD BUT MAKE IT EXTEND LIKE ANOTHER ENTRANCE FROM BEHIND THE TV BASICLLY EXTENDING THE CLOSET SPACE AND MAKING IT EASIER TO ACCESS
I would like it to maintain the outside kitchen, maybe a swing out or maybe drawer slideout pantry behind the TV? In the place of the tongue jack how about a flag pole mount??? I camp mostly northern Indiana & Illinois but I would like to see minimum of 200W, prefer 400W just so the fridge could be left on and stocked if you are going out 2 weekends in a row. Thanks Josh for another RV Nerd preferred video!
I love this trailer! Love that bedroom! Fireplace! And I’m looking for a bedroom with windows on all 3 sides. When that new hidden storage behind the entertainment center is reconfigured, this is my TT! Jayco, I’m impressed lately, way to go!
Gosh Josh, definitely 12V fridge and theatre seating since this is more of a couples RV. Since there's great closet space in washroom I'm ok with bedroom sofa, great place for pups to sleep. Thanks again.
Ditch the small sofa and dinette. Put in a giant long couch with mountable tables for eating and it’s perfect! As for that giant front cap storage. We can slide up TVs right. Why not send up a small chest with drawers. Easy accessible, much better organization. It might have less capacity but I’d rather have organization over capacity
I’m in Tucson, AZ, so for solar packages; I would want a soft start AC with maximum solar panels and batteries. We have to endure up to 115 degrees for at least one night, no matter where we travel. Plus there’s tons of blm and national forests land.
The front seating area looks nice but, to me, a closet is more practical. I prefer your idea of making the pocket accessible by swinging the TV out. A full height “hidden” closet would eliminate the camp kitchen. And on that subject, eliminate half of the overhead cabinet in the camp kitchen so I can install a taller fridge. A tongue jack would be a bit more convenient for hitching and unhitching. I think they should eliminate the washer/dryer hook up, put in some storage there and add space to the bathroom. Thanks for reviewing this model.
I would rather have closet. My husband and I are looking to travel in about 2 years when he retires. My husband wants one you drive and not pull. I think we should pull one. What is your opinion on that. Which one is the best. I'm adding my comments as I watch the video, but I'm from Michigan.
I like most of the layout. Just the bathroom. Corner showers are a dealbreaker. I'd love to see this layout with the HT 272rbok bathroom. We want to upgrade. This would be perfect with a different bathroom
You go camping to see the country! Windows windows and more windows! You just have to be inside sometimes and it's great to be able to look out, especially when boondocking. There is plenty of storage room in that camper. Are you going to remember the view or the fact you had to pack less after the trip?
Beautiful unit as a whole. The bedroom is awesome. I'm personally not a fan of the Dark brown but otherwise like the farm house decor. As far as the cabinet storage behind the TV. I agree with the handle on the door. But as far as the depth. If you use that cabinet for towels. You can push the folded bath towels all the way to the back and should still be able to reach the edge of the towels without having to climb into the cabinet. That's what I do in my bathroom cabinets, we have a 2022 Puma 30RKQS there are 3 shelves in our bathroom that are the depth of the shower, my arm will not reach the wall on the bottom shelf but putting towels in there no problem. I think it's harder to picture how things fir into any unit until you have physical objects in the camper. Mine has a lot of storage butt after starting to load it I realized there is more storage than it looked empty.
Give me the closet in the bedroom and change the sofa to a theater seat. I didn't see any plugin for my cpap next to the bed? I would also remove the mini-closet and washer area and move the sink into part of that area. Use the balance as storage but use the space saved by moving the sink to include a larger shower with seat for those of us older limited mobility people. Move the washer to the area in front that currently has the sofa, make that a washer and dryer prep and the balance as storage. I know this would require an additional gray outlet but it would be worth it with this floor plan. I agree with the deep pocket off bath behind the TV. I am assuming that there is something like a camp kitchen that precludes this are from being larger? Well, keep watching and that is cleared up and yes, change that to the one shown from the other camper. Exterior I like the tray with space for a generator, good job. On the jack I would include one. My thinking there is if you are on uneven ground you may need to move the front up or down to get the P/U hooked up at times. Dry camp in MO, KS and OK. I really like the outside appearance they did a nice job. Just remove the windscreen after you change that are to a closet inside.
Josh we like this one very much, the bench in the bedroom would benefit her. Wouldn’t want a washer/dryer in a TT, fifth wheel yes, but not in the bedroom. Rudy thank you for showing the great storage in that one, that same storage needs to be in the first one. Josh the bathroom is 👍👍 even the shower. On the outside like the fifth wheel style front legs, as far as the hole for the trailer jack isn’t a deal breaker. The handle on those steps should be standard on all, because some people when they get older they need the extra help. Solar on the roof should be at least 200W standard regardless of what part of the country that you live in. Back to the inside, love theater seating option. Keep’m coming
