I had a dream meeting Cyn after one of her concerts backstage and I said hello to her and she said: what the hell do u want? I certainly hope in person she is not snappy or rude👍
She was 33 years old here. She had such a good way of marketing her personality in with her musical talent. She was a genius, dramatic vocalizations, etc. It really worked well for her. It's almost as if she was attempting to be an adult child. That voice was brilliant.
No argument here. The woman knows her stuff. Her rendition of "Money Changes Everything" is one for the ages. There's a clip of her doing at at about the age of 50. She's brilliant. It's one of my dreams to play drums for Cyndi Lauper. (I'm a drummer for a living.)
Cyndi Lauper is absolutely adorable here! I wouldve loved to have been there at that time. She deserved a big hug. Thats why her marriage to David Thornton lasted more than 20 years. She's a nice person who married another nice person.
im happy she is still alive waoo thats incredible because the most of the 80s singers they are dead for aids or drugs or another diseases etc waoo i love shee!!
I must be slow as all Hell tonight because I don't get that joke at all. But I still love her! Maybe the whole point of the joke was that it isn't funny? I dunno?
In another show she told the same joke and had a japanese friend with her, who told the joke again in japanese and that sounded funny but nobody laughed because of the joke. I think the name Skeezix is maybe like Schizo... and the crazy wall bouncing guy didn´t know that he was there yesterday. Maybe he got multiple personalities ? Did I get the joke ? But, is it funny ?
xirsamoht x Dave’s schtick was kind of dic****dish and I agree that was kind of a corny move to say that. I happen to think this woman incredibly sweet and adorable.
Before her 1st album went ballistic I saw her in Springfield Mass. She opened up for the Kinks. Standing room only type of gig, no assigned seats. I was right there at the stage. It was a great concert. She is incredibly talented. Always had a crush on her.
Imagine a “musician “ from today going on tv and acting like her. Wonder what would happen. I was 13 when this came on (no I didn’t watch it). I really didn’t care to much about her then but absolutely respect and like her now for who she was then and what she stood for. She wasn’t sleaze like another popular female singer of that era was. We need more CL’s today. So humble
American singer, songwriter, actress and activist. Her career has spanned over 40 years. Her album She's So Unusual was the first debut album by a female artist to achieve four top-five hits on the Billboard Hot 100-"Girls Just Want to Have Fun", "Time After Time", "She Bop", and "All Through the Night"-and earned Lauper the Best New Artist award at the 27th Grammy Awards in 1985. Her success continued with the soundtrack for the motion picture The Goonies and her second record True Colors (1986). This album included the number one single "True Colors" and "Change of Heart", which peaked at number three. In 1989, she had a hit with "I Drove All Night".
Cyndi evokes such a youthful and energetic attitude and persona and tweens and teens are her biggest fans and she's like fricken' 35 here! She looks and acts 23! So young looking and youthful persona! Big fan herw.
Cyndi Lauper > Madonna. I love her speaking voice. Reminds me of when America didn't suck and people had character as opposed to the generic and boring accents of today.
Who else have you ever seen who brought gifts for the band and Paul? She is so friggin' cute and nice. I like her so much, I wish she would come move in next door to me and we could hang out every day!
Can you imagine shopping and seeing a candy golfball and saying to yourself "this would be perfect for multi-millionaire mega celebrity David Letterman. I'll give this to him next Tuesday."
Thank you. My exposure to Batman was curtailed some time during the nineties, so I was never well acquainted with Harley Quinn. Anyway - now I know, and there's one less thing in the world driving me mad.
