As a 68 year old mature woman with fine lines and wrinkle’s, I just wanted to say that I love all the Laura Gellar makeup items I use for face, eyes and lips. It is so easy and I get so many compliments on the way I do my makeup and my long silver hair. LG’s makeup is perfect for me. The lights in the boutique I work at in Bend, Oregon, really highlights the tiny specks of sparkle. LG’s makeup is perfect for the dry High Desert here. I use a great serum, sunscreen, moisturizer, and her spackle primer. Using her makeup the way she designed it makes all the difference in the world. Thank you for doing this video. Glad you liked it as much as I do. By the way, my skin is very dry and it works for dry skin too❤

I love your honest review. I was with my sister in law today and her makeup was so pretty it was this Laura geller! She has a high red colouring and this covered it perfectly. I'm so glad we can buy it here in the UK I've just ordered myself some can't wait for it to arrive and try it!

I love your video. Honestly your skin looks fabulous and this product makes you glow. At 81 I'm not expecting magic, and just hoping it doesn't accentuate my laugh lines and lip lines that I inherited from my mother....'thanks mom.' I didn't see eyeliner and yours appears subtle which is a plus. I am Hispanic, fair, yellow undertones (not olive like mother) and silver/gray hair. I used to dye my brown hair and as the grays came in incorporated them in light brown, blonde (2 blonde and gray). After menopause, and hair looked stringy, I cut it short and let it go natural. Had to go with the flow. Thanks for keeping this real. Wishing you a Joyful and Prosperous 2024

Hi R Salas, thank you very much. The trick I find with this foundation is to go lightly on the areas that you know have more texture. I still wear this foundation often. It’s my go to. Thanks for the review! - I tried it for the first time yesterday and loved it! but feel that by the end of the day (7hrs) it had turned more orange - not sure if this has happened to anyone, but if it did, please share any tips to avoid this! - I also use primer and I have dry skin. -- thanks!!

I have used it for years! I love it I never feel like I have makeup on. She has amazing eye liners and shadows. I hate the feel of liquid on my face and this powder I have dry skin and I never look like I am wearing a powder. Can’t say enough about it!!!

I’m a first time viewer…new subscriber.. Really enjoyed the video. I am 61 but thankfully still have good skin. My skin is oily and sensitive. I have dark under eye circles would I put concealer on after this foundation?

Hi Dalinda, Thank you. I’m so glad you enjoyed the video. Welcome!! You could always use a concealer or color corrector for your under eye area and then use the foundation on the rest of your face. This foundation is supposed to be good for sensitive skin. I wouldn’t put it under your eyes because it can be slightly drying under the eye area. At least for me it does but, I have dry under eyes anyway. I hope this helps. So, concealer or color corrector first, then foundation. 😊❤️💕

I absolutely LOVE this product including the baked bronzer. I use a Kabuki brush and it goes on so smoothly and the foundation powder has good coverage too. I get compliments all the time because it's so natural looking. If you're on the fence, go for it! Amazing products!

I one Xmas Eve (when my fam celebrate) so tired I forgot to take off my makeup, fallen asleep flat on my back, woke up and scared myself when I looked in the mirror since my makeup was still perfect…lol

I love the Baked Balance and Brighten. I also got the blush and I love that too. I may get the fuller coverage powder she also sells, but I worry that one may look a bit cakey since it's a more matte finish and seems a bit thicker or more dense. Her lipstick is great too.

Hey Billie! Thank you so much. Same with me, I bought the palette a while ago and never used it! I wish now I had used it sooner. 🤦🏻‍♀️ it’s beautiful and of course you can ask what I used and where. 😊 I used: -Sandy1 all over the lid up to the brow bone -Antiqued5 on the outer corner(on top of the Bronzed4 -Bronzed4 on the outer corner and in my crease. -Golden Hour in the center of the lid almost to the inner corner but not quite.

I really like this too. No matter what anyone says, NO foundation is infallible. Some touch up is needed. I find using a clean, dry, fluffy powder brush to buff my skin periodically during the day rejuvenates the original application. A little swipe of blush that was left on the original brush application and/or even a light touch of this powder works great if it's a long day.

Hi Arlene, It’s such a great foundation. Glad your a fan! You are 100% correct. Plus, our skin changes so often that using one foundation may not always work. Sometimes we may have to change it up. Honestly revlon color stay literally lasts all day, no touchups, nothing lol. I have yet to find a foundation that looks and performs as well as revlon color stay. I apply with a damp sponge. The only thing is that as I'm getting older I would like to find something a little more moisturizing but every foundation high or low end I have tried is the pits in comparison. I'll have to try this one.

@@daybyday2496 I was SO surprised with this one. My skin is getting dryer and dryer these days and it still wears great! I just make sure my skin is well hydrated. The formula is so different than other powder foundations. It’s definitely worth a try if you get it during a sale. I would love to know if you like or not if you do give it a try. I love this foundation even under my 58 yr old eyes. It is light weight and less is best on mature skin. It is a light coverage so if you want a full coverage foundation this might not be for you. I just first pounce it on the swirl it on. It is so quick and also easy to travel with. No concealer necessary too. I have used bare minerals original foundation for years and am glad I switched.

This product is amazing! I get full coverage. I use a Sonia Lusk foundation brush for covering flaws and a fluffy brush for final all over finish . It works beautifully and yes it is am very easy for a quick application. It only takes me 3 minutes and it can be adjusted to what look you are going for. If you have a lot of wrinkles, there is only so much a powder and liquid foundation can do. We just have to have realistic expectations. Go get it! It’s great!

Hey girl! Thank you so much for sharing this info. SO many times we get sucked into false claims. So my real issues with my stinking aging! Is, my under eye 😝ugh. Fine lines and wrinkles don’t ya know. So, did you put this under your eye? I didn’t see you go under. Thanks

Hi Bonnie, Thank you. I don’t put it under my eyes or at least I try not to! I have very dry under eyes along with wrinkles, so if I need a concealer I like to use a liquid or cream product. You could always give it a try and see what happens. The eye area is tough for sure . The skin is so different from the face and if your anything like me, mine can change day to day depending on weather etc. Some days they look better than others! 🤷🏻‍♀️ I hope this helps. I moisturize under my eyes then I lightly brush a very light amount under the eye area. When I sweep the Balance and Brighten onto my entire face, at the end of the application I just VERY lightly and quickly sweep it under each eye. I don't press it under or tap it under I just quickly sweep it. This way my under my eyes is the same color as the rest of my face but it's not caked up on there.

I recently ordered this makeup, along with the Double Take full coverage in medium. I look forward to trying them. Since you mentioned the OZ it made me wonder if I can fly with them. I ordered them specifically for the wedding we are attending soon. TSA requires 3 oz containers. Does anyone know if I can have these in my carry-on?

I’m not sure the double take could be carried on being a liquid but the baked balance and brighten I would think should be fine. It’s not a liquid. I would call the airline just to be sure. I hope this helps. Maybe someone who has traveled with it will comment. I’m sure there are many who would like to know. I’ll dig a little online and see if I can find anything. ❤️💕☀️

The color correcting does have a beautiful healthy radiance to it while helping of you happen to have any redness in your skin! Hey Bonnie, if you were to use it under the eye, I would just use the color you would use on the rest of your face. I wouldn’t spend the money if you don’t need to. I don’t think you would notice a difference if you went lighter. If your looking to brighten the eye area, I would choose a concealer slightly lighter than your skin tone. If your purchasing the foundation, try it first on your face and under eye and see how you like it. Hope this helps! 😊❤️😀

Hi Michelle! I'm new to your channel from Georgia and my only complaint so far was the cheap packaging they use. Lol. I got the cult classic package when it was around $60-70 normally well over $100. I love that the foundation doesn't settle into my lines and that it doesn't look caked on. I was just wondering why the Kajal long wear eyeliner is not a thin eyeliner instead of so thick, but I actually like the glitter in it. I know u just throw the packaging out but I still wish it was a little classier looking. 😂

I recently started skipping using blush...crazy right? I have been obsessed with blush for years but just a little high lighter on top of the cheeks is looking more natural and fresh. I found that as I got older, blush starting looking blotchy on my 58 yr old skin. Idk why. I just use the lightest color in the pan. This is so quick and easy.

@@terrysmith5868 Hi Terry, I don’t know if I’m brave enough to not wear blush! I’m OBSESSED. Lol Although, I have noticed that it tends to look a little blotchy on me as well. Mine is due to the thinning of my skin and the veins really showing through on the cheek area! It makes it always look uneven. 🤷🏻‍♀️.. maybe I’ll experiment with some bronzers or different color highlighters to use instead. Thanks for the tips! I didn’t find that it settled into pores or wrinkles. I would recommend trying it with and without a primer. Also, less is more! Hope this helps. Thanks so much for watching. ☀️❤️😊

Did you use a primer, specifically LG prime? When I applied the same priduct it excentuated pores and fine lines.

I only used this once. It oxidized on my skin i was literally orange after about 5 hours at work. I was so embarrassed couldn't wait to get home to take it off. After reading some comments apparently should be wearing primer first. But im nervous about trying it again. I also bought the blush too. So i dont know?

If I need to use a concealer I use a separate one. I have extremely dry under eyes so I need lots of hydration. If this is not an issue for you, you can try it. I would use it sparingly though. I hope this helps! Thanks so much for watching. ❤️😊

@@beyondtheskinwithmichelle nope. I don’t typically buy tinted sunscreen. But it was a new sunscreen for me. Yesterday was my first time trying it out. I got home from work and was swatching it on my arm and it did lean a bit orange. I might try it over a bb cream and see if that works.

I have wrinkles and it made mine more visible. I am not impressed, and, it is more of a powder than a cream. The powder goes everywhere just like other powder foundations. It took a long time to receive it in the mail also.

I'm surprised you could use Medium shade. You appear more fair than I, and Light was a bit darker than my natural skin tone. Even in the palette, yours looks lighter than mine; perhaps it's the monitor. I ordered Fair with a kit that I purchased. When I tried it on a spot on my face when it arrived today, it looked about the same tone as the Light. I'm going to try it on my entire face later. I really do like the wear of this product, and it doesn't accentuate my pores or lines; I'm 62, so I definitely have texture that I didn't have 10 years ago. I found that I can touch up during the day without it looking cakey. I like it so much that I ordered that the Best of the Best Kit, as well as concealer, Double Take Baked Full Coverage Foundation, and a few other items. I'm thinking I'll use the Baked Balance n Brighten on days when I'd like a little coverage and the full coverage product when I'm getting a little more "dressed up". I also ordered all of these items on sale and agree that she offers great deals. Also, return shipping is free, so items can be easily exchanged.

Hi Terri, I did not use a concealer. I try not to get foundations up under my eyes because I have very dry under eyes. If you use this foundation I wouldn’t go over a concealer with it. It could possibly look a little cakey or dry. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching! 💕😊

Terri.......I have puffiness too ...I normally wear this over elf foundation and it's beautiful but I was just recommended to use the Peter Thomas Roth instant eye tightener and then this Laura Geller ...I'm anxious to try it out. Hi Deborah, it sounds like you received the Baked Body Frosting Face & Body Glow. They definitely sent you the wrong item if you were purchasing the foundation. Hi 0909Yellow, I don’t always use a concealer. I very lightly went around the eye. I wouldn’t say this foundation does it all especially if you have dark under eyes. Some people do use it for a full face application. I have dry under eyes so I don’t typically like to use foundations as a concealer. If you don’t have issues with wrinkles or dryness, you could try it. If you have any darkness I don’t think it would be enough to lighten that area. I hope this helps! Hi Melisse, I did not. I got very close to my under eye area with the foundation but not directly under. I have very dry under eyes which is why I don’t use the foundation in that area. If you don’t, you could certainly try using it lightly and see how it looks. Thanks so much for watching! 😃🌸

I only ask because whilst I don't have wrinkles I do have very thin skin under my eyes and it can look crepey with B&B or if use even the smallest amount of concealer it goes patchy. I don't use primer or setting just balance and brighten which is very natural looking and ethereal rose blush. My under eyes can be an issue if I try to use the B&B or anything else. Using nothing to avoid issues with my eyes. Your application looked very good so I just wondered if you had avoided the under eye area.

I think you're supposed to buff the balance & brighten foundation into the skin similar to the way Bare Minerals is used so the powder becomes a cream & becomes one with the skin 😊

Hi Linda, you can certainly do that. I like to push the foundation into the skin rather than buff. I find it still blends right into my skin. If your someone with dry skin or have any flaking, buffing can lift those tiny flakes of skin and sometimes accentuate them. If that’s not an issue, I’m sure on certain skin types buffing could be beautiful!!! It’s a gorgeous foundation. Thanks so much for watching! ❤️😊💕

This is a nice foundation but I like the balance and glow better. But imo nothing beats the Laura Mercier mineral powder by far the best! Why do company’s have such great products with 5 star reviews for years then out of the blue discontinue it? I’ll never understand that. Thank god I bought many backups!

You're not supposed to blot it on. You're supposed to buff it on. I think you'd have better results if you followed the directions. It still looks nice on you.

Hi Debra, Thank you. I have buffed it on. I prefer to press it into my skin. I found when I buffed, it would accentuate any dry skin that I might have and it didn’t look any different as far as coverage. It’s just personal preference. Everyone’s skin is so different. I would say watch Laura Gellers video and get a different brush....it needs a kabuki brush application.

Hi Snikkerr, I did use a kabuki brush. It’s an angled kabuki from Sigma. I do have several Laura Geller ones . I love this brush because of the angles and I have a small slim face. It’s just personal preference. I do still enjoy the LG brushes and also use them. Thanks so much for watching. ☀️💕😊

I do appreciate the time lapse. A little heavy on the blush though. The shine on your face is from your oily skin, not the foundation.

Hi Kathryn, I definitely love blush, can’t deny that! Yes, I know the shine was from my natural oils that’s why I mentioned that I was touching up with the foundation to see how it would look not using a blotting tissue for the oil first. It touched up great even on top of the existing oil! I was very impressed. Thanks so much for watching. 😊😄💕

Hi Jennifer, it could be used that way if you want. I use a kabuki brush when I apply it so I get a little more coverage. If you use a fluffier brush like a powder brush. You can absolutely use it for finishing. Thanks so much for watching! 💕😊

I don’t think this would do much for hyperpigmentation. If you want to “cover” hyperpigmentation, you might want to use a concealer to spot conceal and then apply your foundation. I can definitely still my skin through this foundation . It’s more of a light/medium coverage. Thanks so much for watching. 🍁😊💕

@@TaraT522 I’ve had many messages about the lighter shade being orange. I wish Laura Geller would make some changes to the lighter shades! I don’t know if for whatever reason something under the foundation caused it to happen or not but based on how many people I’ve heard from, I would say it’s the product. Hi Miss Mo, Thank you so much for watching. I haven’t used Bare Minerals in years but, from what I remember to compare I would say, The Laura Geller is much easier, better coverage, more natural looking. It’s gives your skin a beautiful healthy glow. It also feels lighter on the skin. I never feel like I’m wearing makeup when I have it on and it has not settled into any wrinkles. I hope this helps! 💕😊

Hi Deborah, I barely went under the eyes… I don’t like to really pack it under there… I just go to the orbital bone… I have lightly dusted under the eye while doing the rest of my face occasionally. I haven’t had any issues.. I have very dry under eyes so I try not to.. thanks so much for watching . 😊💕

Hi Arlene, I’m so sorry to hear that. It’s definitely not a full coverage foundation. I consider it more of a “your skin but better” type of foundation. I remember when Laura geller had a store inside the mall I frequented. I never bothered going in because all of the girls that worked there had strange .............powdered looking faces.

I iust bought it. It's just a powder, nothing special about it. Unless you have perfect skin, it won't look good. It did nothing to cover even the lightst of hyperpigmentation. It took the shine off the good parts of my skin but the lower half of my face was a mess. PS I'm 50. Customer service was impressive.

Hi mr.balloffur, so sorry your not liking it. It’s definitely not a full coverage foundation and it’s actually a cream/powder. I don’t mind my dark spots or acne showing through. I will usually use a concealer if for whatever reason I choose to hide them. The key to this is less is more. I don’t apply much at all and touch up during the day if I need to. I feel like it’s just enough coverage to still look natural. Don’t give up yet! If you have the time, try different applications and see if they work for you. My favorite is using a kabuki brush and tap the foundation into the skin vs swiping. I hope this helps. Thanks so much for watching. 🍂🍁😊
