Thanks for visiting here and taking us along. She was truly a remarkable and gifted person. How much would we have missed if there were no Laura Ingles.
I enjoy like watching your video Little House on the Prairie was my favorite show i used to watch that all the time thank you for taking us along on the tour that was an awesome cool tour and video
I have read Laura's " little house series " numerous times, in my 73 years, both for my own enjoyment, and to my youngest daughter, who is now 33. Liked the books much more than the T. V. show!
The first time I got "Little House Books" was in 1975. The books that I got were "Little House in the Prairie", "Farmer Boy", "By the Shores of Silver Lake", all were in our language, the Indonesian language. My suster and I fell in love with the stories all at once ❤️🥰
Half Pint. I remember her well. Many people called me by that name. What a nice wholesome family movie we all fell in love with back in the 70s. Wish those times never left us.
Thanks Roni! I’m glad you enjoyed it. One of my goals is to film all the places she lived. So far I've done the sites in Missouri, Kansas, South Dakota, and Minnesota. I think all I have left is her birthplace in Wisconsin and a small museum in Iowa. Hopefully I'll be able to get those next year.
Thanks for the memories. My wife and I had the opportunity to visit Mansfield, my wife as a child always wanted to visit, it was great. Would love to move there and get out of California.
Thanks for the memories. We were there that same year in July, a little humid but not bad. We stayed at the RV park across the street. An eye opener for us we stoped at market that was by the park you showed and had asked the grocery worker were they kept there liquor at. Being from California we did not know better but the gentleman said " oh no Mr this is a dry county, you have to drive 3 miles that way to buy that stuff" so we drove got me some fireball went to the RV was outside sipping on it and thought I was hallucinating because these sparkles started to appear called for my wife she came and started to laugh. It was lighting bugs I had never experienced them before, first time on a road trip out of California. How dumb huh?
The wife and I visited this place, back in the early 80s, we really enjoyed being at the place where the books were written. My wife is from, Marshfield, Mo.
That's cool, I'd like to visit Marshfield someday to see the miniature Hubble Space Telescope they have in front of their courthouse. Thanks for watchin!
Yep, quite a lot of work went into that replica. In 2015, I rode with two fellow bikers on Rt. 66, starting in Marshfield and headed up to Illinois. We stayed at the famous, Munger Moss Motel in Lebanon, Mo. it is a must thing to do before it is gone.
I watched little house on TV. I hope that someday I could Go and see her home in Missouri. I love the video 📹 😍 💕. I would love to see all the things In person.
“The real things haven’t changed. It is still best to be honest and truthful; to make the most of what we have; to be happy with simple pleasures; and have courage when things go wrong.” - Laura Ingalls Wilder
I about passed out when I saw PA's fiddle. I think I could spend weeks in there. Funny thing, I lagged behind the tour group in Mrs. Wilder's parlor and got locked inside the farmhouse for a few extra minutes. I had a strange feeling that Mama Bess would not have been happy.
Visited there in the early 80s. Loved how the house inside was built to suit Laura as she was small. Read all her books! The area is beautiful! Thank you for this video..💕 Great memories....
JimmyFungus I always love watching little house on the prairie reruns and I also love to read all the little house on the prairie books over and over I'm also enjoying watching the Laura ingalls wilder videos

Thank you for your comment Dorthy! If interested I have a newer video of the Little House on the Prairie Museum in Independence, Kansas. The museum itself was closed but I walked around and filmed all the signs explaining the history. Thanks again and have a great rest of your weekend! :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-s42VYunuERk.html
Taking my four year old there for his birthday next spring of 2023 if God wills it of course. He fell in love with Almanzo in farmer boy then we started the little house series when I told him they got married in real life I'm pretty sure he actually fell over he was so shocked and excited about that I can't wait to bring him here I plan for it to be a total surprise hopefully he is reading and can read the sign for himself saying Laura and Almanzos house.
Thank you so much! This is my most viewed video and I had no idea it would become so popular. I’ve never ever read the books lol. Have a great rest of your week :)
Hi ya KC,, thanks for making this video,,, Little House on the Prairie was my favorite show. Every now and then I will see it on and will watch it. Great job filming this video. I truly enjoyed it.
Thank you I'm really glad you enjoyed it :) I should probably watch it sometime. I wasn't too big of a fan when I was younger but I might appreciate it more now
Beautiful place, nice and peaceful, thank you! Love the history behind it. :)) Little House on the Prairie writer. Very cool. :)) Have a nice weekend. :) Mansfield looks like a beautiful back water town. :) Like those birds in the trees.
I loved this video, its my hometown, you got video of my church on the painting, its even better in person. the home is open to the town for free on the night of our Christmas parade and on that night you can actually get a picture from the inside.
Thank you I’m glad you enjoyed the video! We really enjoyed our trip to Mansfield. It’s nice to know you can get a picture inside on the night of the Christmas parade thanks for the info :)
Thank you so much for the video. It was my favourite film, when i was a child, very wunderful landscape in the film and i never know thats a true story, great. I like to see the great place and the museum. Best whishes from Germany. Natalie
Thanks Linda! A few weeks ago I went to the Little House on the Prairie Museum in Independence, Kansas. It was closed but they had a bunch of signs outside explaining the history. I have a video if interested, one of the signs has a map and shows all the different places they lived. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-s42VYunuERk.html
I have all of her book. Have been to Manfield, and hope to go back some day. Have pictures of the whole family and what happen to them. I have Rose books too. Did a history on them. I like the books better then the t.v movie. T.V adds things that are not in the book, don't like that.
This is great! I visited her birth home in Pepin, Wisconsin and is the topic for her first book, Little House In The Big Woods. Although, they have a lot more to see at this location than in Pepin. BUT Lake Pepin is also the birth place of waterskiing so I went for a paddle boat ride that day as well. Great job on the video!
lol I was just watching your new video when you commented. Thanks Tommy! It’s too bad they won’t let people film inside it was kinda interesting. I’ve also been to the Little House on the Prairie Museum in Independence, Kansas. I wouldn’t mind visiting her birthplace I’ve never even been to Wisconsin. Have a great weekend!
No sabia que la casa existía aun, ojala un dia se me de y pueda conocer el lugar, aunque me decepciono saber algunas ideas de Laura Ingalls Wilder , pero fuera de eso vi la serie y por eso se algo de su historia, Thanks for you video!Greetings from Argentina!
Yes True. Like i was in the Woods. En heard the wolves howling. Bud the Fire was one and pa was there and jack. I feelt safe and warm. Such nice feeling. Great memories
I never cared for little house on the prairie (was too young I guess) but I found this interesting anyway I like the solid wooden door ... good job man
Same here who's your favorite team? Carl Mays was a pitcher who played on at least 4 different teams. He was really good but he is mainly remembered for throwing a pitch that killed a man who was up at bat. Here's a little more info if you're interested en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Mays#Playing_career. Thank you for watching :)
This was so interesting, I grew up watching Little House On the Prairie & now my daughter watches it as all the episodes are repeated. Fantastic to see this place thanks Spencer. Su x 👍🏻🌲🕊🌻🌼
Thanks Su I'm glad you enjoyed it. I wish they allowed photos of the interior because the house was even more interesting on the inside. Oh well it was still a pretty cool town to visit lol. Have a great week!
that house was probably made better than what they make now. these days it just seems like they just throw em together they don't make houses like that anymore
Great shooting! Thanks for the interesting video... Laura Ingalls Wilder lived and wrote her books in a wonderful place... It must be beautiful in any season of the year... And such a wonderful house! It's like a fairy tale... About this house was written the book "Little House"? I wish you a successful and fruitful week and a great mood.
Thanks my friend it's great to hear from you! The books are based on the authors life and family before she lived in Mansfield, Missouri. It was also made into a tv series. Glad you enjoyed the video :)
Thank you for sharing. I found your video very interesting. I wonder why the historical association, in Mansfield, does not take better care of their plaques and stautes? I found the bird poop and moss growing on historical markers very disrespectful. Soup and water must be a luxury there.
Thanks for watching! It’s difficult to keep everything spotless 100% of the time but they should have plenty of money for soap from all the money they make off the museum :)
@@kcvids816 Hidden camera time. Lol. That's just crazy. They could make so much money if they just put out video of the interior and put ads on it. Absolutely nothing about this makes sense.
It’s my understanding this is the house she lived in when she wrote the books. I believe Little House in the Big Woods is based on her birthplace near Pepin, Wisconsin. Thanks for watching!
I have been lucky enough to have a tour of both of these homes Laura and her husband preferred to live in the smaller house after their daughter left again
@@jasonvanoverbeke480 It is a travesty that they refuse to allow people around the world to see it. If they were smart they'd sell it as a movie and just show us the house. Some of us can't get there and never will.
