I've been wanting a good white chicken chili recipe! I've been thinking of what's something new I can do with my bone in thighs and this looks perfect. Thanks💜
Thanks Laura, I keep making this recipe, I use yellow pepper, very easy and delicious for someone that doesn’t care about beans or corn. I top it just with cilantro and avocado. So yummy
I did this tonight & I used boneless skinless chicken breast & it turned out great but next time I think I'll do the bone 🍖 in chicken. I sautéed the chicken in the bottom of my dutch oven w/ seasonings, made that fond & it was good.
Laura, My husband doesn’t like spicy foods, I do a little. I bought the mild version of green chilis instead. What can I use for my portion to spice it up a little? Also, can I use thighs & drumsticks? Thank you 😃
Have been roasting poblanos and other chilies making my own green sauce and using it in various dishes. The recipe mos inspired from Views on the Road. Remind me a lot of you. They cook with heart.
Try using Mexican Oregano instead of regular. The flavor of Mex. Oregano is much more citrusy and works so much better with this flavor profile IMO. Seriously, it has become my not so secret ingredient.
Laura - what are your thoughts on your Le Creuset & Staub Dutch ovens? Do you prefer one over the other? Pluses and minuses? I’ve used my Le Creuset for years, but I’m thinking about getting a Staub, too. I’d love to hear your thoughts and advice - thanks!!
hi @Calm Mind, I have owned a Staub for many years and highly recommend. Love that the enamel inner is black, so there's less concerns about staining (esp if you cook w/ tomatoes & turmeric) ... and the dimples on the underside of the lid are designed to hold the condensation when lid is on...avoiding that re-dripping of water vapor when the lid is flat. Love the color of Laura's here too :) I have the dark red in 7 qt.
That looks amazing. I don’t know if you can get fresh fire roasted chili in New Jersey. It’s big in Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, and California. It will take this already amazing recipe to a whole new level.
Nah, I think I'll stick to the original recipe. It may lack flair and 1080p HD quality, but it's a lot simpler, more straightforward and truer to an actual chili than this new take. A ton of sweet corn, cream cheese, heavy cream and served with sour cream? C'mon... You practically cooked desert with vegetables.
@@LauraintheKitchen Don't confuse voicing dissent with trolling. I happen to adore the original white chicken chili recipe, It's one of my go to faves because it's quick, tasty and relatively guilt free with only a splash of cream. It really is a fine dish, no need to knock it.
@@Norvo82 “you practically cooked dessert with vegetables “ is indeed an insult. The sour cream? An insult. There’s absolutely a way to express constructive criticism vs just being rude.
