86 years old. These two were and always will be the greatest comedy due of all time. God bless Stan and Ollie. Watched them most of my life and never get tired.
Thank you very much for your lovely comment, God bless you too Charles. 👍we remain loyal to Stan and Ollie👍 I wish you all the best and stay healthy, greetings from Germany Manni❤
My father went to see them make a brief visit to Glasgow,Scotland with his dad in 1940s. Stan made his first public appearance there. Raised on these two greats. Having Christian faith ,I believe we see Godliness in their performance. Our Creator is the happy Goď ,wants his creation to be happy too. Best wishes
@MichaelKingsfordGray no reason why he should. At all. He's saying positive things. If he were throwing negativity around like some people sadly do (*cough*) one might be justified in calling him a coward - but if there's no negativity I think anonymity is fully understandable
Don’t do that, just do what I do and put it on TCM and leave it there. Not only does it bypass all the garbage, it’s actually very enjoyable. I DVR the movies I like, which are slot, so if something is on that I don’t like, I watch a recorded movie…. Does England have TCM?
I am a Virginian now living in England and EVERY time I tell someone my home state they mention this song. I had to look it up because I'd never seen it. Great videi
The song was released in the UK maybe 40 years ago and was a big hit in the charts for a while…. Probably Terry Wogan on radio 2… he did another obscure tune about the same time…. The Floral Dance…
I am 71. The old man bought a cine and screen when I was about 8. We lived in East London and dad would set up the cine every Saturday so us and the kids in the street could watch silent films. Buster, Charlie and my favs Laurel and Hardy. It was all going well untill the tally man repossed the kit one day. Great memories.
hello steve lee ❤thank you very much for your nice comment from your life 👍 a very interesting story👍Buster, Charlie & Laurel and Hardy are the best👌I send greetings to England and wish you all the best, god bless you🙏Thanks very much
Without a doubt, some of the funniest comedy routines of all time came from this perfect pairing. Stan Laurel could "dead-pan" better than anyone and Oliver Hardy was a master of the affected response. Few comedy duos reach these heights and stay together.
This song came out on a vinyl ' single' in the mid 70s and got to no. 2 in the hit parade. The video was played multiple times on ' Top of the Pops' .... 2 LPs of clips from L and H films were released around that same time. (Another Fine Mess' was first, but 2nd I cannot think of ) .... Lots of young people came to enjoy 'The Boys' by watching this and the huge amount of film repeats in the 70s. .... I got to know them during early 1960s, when our head master hired 16 mill sound films, and showed them on a Friday evening at school. I think the headmaster laughed as much as we did ! Nice memories, which are repeated when I watch the dvd box sets I have ! Thanks for the up - load !
Two legends, who gave the world laughter. This clip is a classic. Beautifully sung and well acted. Two geniuses at work. Thank you for uploading this fabulous clip. PC. 31. 03. 2018.
One of my very very earliest memories is watching this while my parents were watching (I must have been about 4) and I absolutely CRIED with laughter when Stan's voice changed to female :)
I love this song. First heard it about 40 years ago, and been singing it ever since. Pops into my head at random moments and reminds me of trekking on horseback through the woods. Always makes me happy.
A hit record in 1975 i was 7 first pocket money to buy my own vinyl my dad took me to boots while my mam was working in the bread shop i bought this and tami lynn im gonna run away from you my first two pieces of vinyl got loads now good times its a classic now for sure.
I've loved Laurel and Hardy since I was 4 years old watching colorized repeats in 1988, but I have to say: John C Reilly and Steve Coogan did a phenomenally good job recreating this scene and the "Commence to Dancing" Western dance. Stan & Ollie was a BEAUTIFUL movie.
This is iconic the guy playing the guitar always reminds me of a friend of mine. I first saw this maybe 38 years ago. Id watch it nearly every Sunday after church while the rest of my family was asleep. As i get older i find myself revisiting all the greats from my childhood, original king kong, Abbott and Costello, Marx Brothers and recently The great Laurel and Hardy.
wow kenlo a wonderful story from you ❤ and very interesting 👍 laurel and hardy accompany us through life ❤ kenlo thank you very much for your nice comment👍 and god bless you and your family, a warm greeting manni🤝
Always had a soft spot for this - it takes me back to sometime early 80's when I was maybe 6 or 7 years old and I remember watching this with my dad who worked hard and was home very much. Great memories
hello besh thank you very much for your nice comment 👍 you have nice memories👍 and Doris Day was a wonderful woman❤👍besh i wish you all the best and stay healthy greetings manni🙏
classic,,, my dad first showed me this and I showed my fiancee a couple if years ago it's timeless,, that was before we went to America it was the first thing I remembered when I seen the blue ridge mountains I used to sing it whilst we were on our road trip
It is truly inspiring the way these two always live in the moment and enjoy life to the fullest. Just the sight of a lone cowboy singing to himself moves them enough to join in and create a wholesome musical moment, because why not. We should all aspire to live like them, failures and all, because they always persevere in spite of their failures, just as we should.
Looking forward to seeing the movie. Grew up with these two, their movies on TV every weekend and all through any holidays they kept us entertained for a generations.
👍Hellojc2702 you're right laurel and Hardy they are the best for me too. Thank you very much for your comment, my friend. I wish you all the best, greetings Manni🤝👍❤
I went to Ulverston over last weekend and found myself humming this in front of their statue and smiling. Simply the best the World has seen or will ever see.
Pure genius! How I miss them! Great childhood memories ....watching Stan & Ollie, with my brothers at the Saturday morning mattinee in the ABC cinema 60+ years ago.
Never befriend anybody who tells you they don't laugh at Stan & Ollie. They definitely are not to be trusted! Seriously, how can you look at this beautiful comedy duo and not smile?
Apart from Freemason Hardy using violence constantly on his friend, eh? Then again, what do you expect from Hollywood where EVERY film studio was founded by a Mason/Masons, including Disney, Warner Brothers (all 3 of them), Universal Pictures, Paramount, MGM, United Artists, 20th Century Fox, and Rank.
This always makes me laugh. My Dad,who's been passed 17 years used to love it too😂Can't wait to see the "Stan+Ollie" film at the cinema.Never tire of Laurel&Hardy 💕
Am from Birmingham UK ,and am listening to this sitting on a porch in Blue Ridge watching the Sun go down ,have been a couple of times and all because of this song..
